  • As the era of e-navigation begins, the significance of harmonized collection, exchange, and integration of marine information conventional "ship-to-ship" and "ship-to-shore"/"shore-to-ship" has become more significant in ensuring safety and security at sea. This research aims to provide an internationally applicable list of Standard e-Navigation Phrases (SENP ) for communication in the e-Navigation environment, along with practical approaches to this. For this purpose, the importance of standardized communication phrases specific to e-Navigation will first be illustrated. In order to approach the e-Navigation phrases in a practical and pragmatic manner, means of compiling and processing authentic VHF linguistic data accumulated from one of the Korean ports, Ulsan, will be detailed. In addition, major outcomes to be considered in designing SENP will be suggested. Finally, future actions and a joint effort for the standardization of e-Navigation phrases among stakeholders will be sought.

Development of an IGVM Integrated Navigation System for Vehicular Lane-Level Guidance Services

  • This paper presents an integrated navigation system for accurate navigation solution-based safety and convenience services in the vehicular augmented reality (AR)-head up display (HUD) system. For lane-level guidance service, especially, an accurate navigation system is essential. To achieve this, an inertial navigation system (INS)/global positioning system (GPS)/vision/digital map (IGVM) integrated navigation system has been developing. In this paper, the concept of the integrated navigation system is introduced and is implemented based on a multi-model switching filter and vehicle status decided by using the GPS data and inertial measurement unit (IMU) measurements. The performance of the implemented navigation system is verified experimentally.

  • Nowadays Hyperbolic Navigation System-LORAN, DECCA, OMEGA, OMEGA-is available on the ocean, and Spherical Navigation System, GPS (Global Positioning System) is operated partially. Hyperbolic Navigation System has the blind area near the base line extention because divergence rate of hyperbola is infinite theoretically. The Position Accuracy is differ from the cross angle of LOP although each LOP has the same error of quantity. GDOP(Geometric Dilution of Precisoin) is used to estimate the position accuracy according to the cross angle of LOP and LOP error. Hyperbola and ellipse are crossed at right angle everywhere. Hyperbola and ellipse are used to LOP in Rectangular Navigation System. The equation calculating the GDOP of rectangular Navigation System is induced and GDOP diagram is completed in this paper. A scheme that can improve the position accuracy in the blind area of Hyperboic Navigation System using the Rectangular Navigation System is proposed through the computer simulation.

  • In the article, an analysis of the factors was carried out, which injected into the efficiency of the function of navigation systems in the minds of unimportance. Carrying out analyzes allowing for the visibility of relevant direct adjustments to the effectiveness of the function Inertial navigation systems in the minds of non-value. The designation of the navigation system was assigned to a complex of navigation systems on ships processing of the vector of navigation parameters, so that they can be victorious in the control systems of the ship's collapse, and the safety of floating is safe.

  • Aid-to-Navigation facility is important for maritime traffic safety. In Korea, for safe maritime traffic, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is using an Aid-to-Navigation management system. The current Aid-to-Navigation management system displays information based on text, making it difficult to determine the impact if Aid-to-Navigation fails or an accident occurs. A simulator can be used to verify the placement of Aid-to-Navigation. However, real-time information is not applied and maintenance of the simulator is expensive. Additionally, the Aid-to-Navigation simulator cannot simulate effects of port backlighting. To improve these issues, we proposed an Aid-to-Navigation management platform based on digital twin technology. This system can predict failures by analyzing real-time sensor data collected from navigation signs. We plan to develop a function that can simulate Aid-to-Navigation placement. Aid-to-Navigation is expected to be managed efficiently by applying digital twin technology.

국제기구에서 바라보고 있는 e-Navigation PNT의 역할과 요구성능

  • e-Navigation은 해사안전과 관련하여 국내외에서 가장 주목받고 있는 주제임에 분명하다. 본 논문은 e-Navigation에서 주요한 요소로 다루고 있는 PNT(Position, Navigation, Timing)의 중요성과 역할에 대해서 설명한다. 그리고 국제기구에서 논의되고 있는 PNT 관련 쟁점 사항들을 주제별로 분류하고, 각각의 주제가 해결하고자 하는 문제를 정의한다. 더불어 본 논문은 최근에 국제기구가 요구하고 있는 PNT 성능이 정의한 문제와 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 보인다. 마지막으로 e-Navigation에서 목표로 하는 PNT 성능을 구현하기 위한 주요 선진국의 대응 현황에 대해 알아보고, 향후 발전방향에 대해 전망한다.

  • 해사분야의 4차 산업혁명의 촉진제가 될 것으로 기대하고 있는 IMO e-Navigation 전략은 각 국의 필요와 수요자 요구사항에 맞는 다양한 서비스로 개발되고 있다. 우리나라는 2016년부터 5년 동안 6개의 한국형 e-Navigation 서비스를 개발하여 전 연안의 선박을 대상으로 제공할 계획을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 개발되고 있는 한국형 e-Navigation 서비스와 IMO의 e-Navigation 전략 및 서비스와의 관계를 분석하여 공공적 서비스의 의미를 도출하고 민간 부문 사용자로의 확산 측면에서 한국형 e-Navigation 서비스의 발전 방안을 고찰하였다.

  • 현재 국제해사기구(IMO)를 중심으로 선박의 안전, 보안 및 해양환경 보호를 위해 선박 및 육상을 통합하는 전자항법 체계인 e-Navigation이 추진되고 있다. 특히 유럽의 여러 국가들이 IMO의 추진 진행 과정을 따라 실제로 e-Navigation을 해상에 구현하기 위한 여러 프로젝트들을 진행하고 있으며 그 결과들이 일부 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IMO에서 진행 중인 e-Navigation의 현황을 살펴보고 VTS 관점에서 향후 e-Navigation으로 인해 변화할 기능 또는 서비스들에 대해 검토하였다.

  • 3D 가상환경 개발 초기 단계에서부터 효과적인 Navigation 을 위해서 Navigation Aid 에 대한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되어왔다. 그러나 지금까지는 환경 구조의 중요 지점만을 정리한 요약 형태의 정보를 제공하는 방법이 주를 이루고 있어서, Navigation 대상 환경에 익숙지 않은 사용자에게 환경구조를 이해하게 하는 Cognitive Load를 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 주제를 이동 또는 세분화하는 과정을 통해 원하는 지역 또는 대상을 선별하여 찾아내고 이를 3D 가상환경에서의 이동으로 연결하는 온톨로지 기반의 Navigation Aid 를 제안했다. 따라서 Navigation 대상 환경 구조에 익숙지 않은 방문자라도 유용하게 사용할 수 있으며, 환경을 구성하는 객체들의 위치가 자주 변하더라도 사용자에게 동일한 Navigation 환경을 제공하는 장정을 갖는다.

  • IMO established an e-Navigation Strategy Implementation Plan(SIP) in 2014 and they aim to enforce in 2019. Accordingly, korean government also prepared e-Navigation SIP as the Next Maritime Safety Comprehensive Management System in 2015. The main content is to promote R&D by putting 131 billion won over the next five years from 2016 to 2020. On the other hand still in a situation that staying at the conception level of Korean e-Navigation System, by study the architectural design requirements of the Korean e-Navigation system, so we will be able to establish future research directions.
