북극해항로 해상운송 현황 및 당면과제

  • 본 논문에서는 북극해항로(NSR)의 운항여건, 현황 및 기간별 운항내용에 대한 평가가 다뤄진다. 한국 관련 NSR 운항내용이 상세히 설명되며, 특히 2014년-15년, 서방의 대러시아제재여파 및 국제유가하락 등에 따른 NSR 국제통과수송 급락 배경 분석이 이뤄진다. 또한 현재 주요 국가들의 NSR에 대한 관점이 소개되며, 향후 NSR의 지속 활용을 위한 선사, 정부, 지자체 등 주요 주체들의 당면과제와 방안이 제시된다.

  • 정부의 북극항로 시험운항이 시행된 2013년 NSR횡단 선박 척수는 전년도에 비해 54%가 늘어난 71척에 이르렀으나 실제 화물수송량은 당초 예상량인 150만톤에도 못 미치는 1,355,897톤으로 전년도에 비해 7.5% 증가에 그치고 말았다. 이는 2013년 하절기 북극해의 얼음이 2012년도에 비해 훨씬 적게 녹았기 때문으로 분석되고 있다. 그러나 지구온난화로 인한 전체적인 해빙 크기의 감소추세는 큰 틀에서 벗어나지 않고 있으므로 NSR의 선점을 위해서는 화물의 경제성 평가와 더불어 고효율선의 운항에 대비할 필요가 있다.

Analysis of China's Arctic Route Development associated with the Belt and Road initiative (중국의 북극항로 개발사업, 일도(一道)의 특징과 시사점)

  • The potential competitiveness for new routes and resources has been theoretically discussed with regards to the Arctic route but is gradually becoming a reality as global warming increases. In June of 2017, China officially included the Northern Sea Route (NSR) as part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and major countries' interests in the NSR are greatly expanding. This paper presents the general characteristics of the NSR, NSR development in China, the expected relationship between the NSR and the BRI, and this relationship's implications for Korea. The NSR has poor facilities and information infrastructure and is not economically viable for commercial navigation due to its high-cost conditions compared to competitive routes. In order to explore the Arctic and develop the NSR, large-scale projects must be funded over a long period of time; this has caused major difficulties in development. However, as the NSR is included in the BRI, there could be an opportunity to utilize BRI funds, such as Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Further, China's NSR development and the NSR development of partner countries, such as Korea, should be further stimulated. As Korea has strengths in terms of its shipbuilding technology and geographical location, which is located at the core of the NSR, Korea would have chances to expand the economic cooperation and business opportunities with China and Russia.

Characteristics of NOx Reduction and NH3 Slip in SNCR Using Pipe Nozzle for the Application of Hybrid SNCR/SCR Process (Hybrid SNCR/SCR 탈질공정에서 SNCR의 관통노즐에 의한 NOx 저감 및 NH3 Slip 특성)

  • A hybrid SNCR/SCR plant was designed and manufactured, and experimented on the SNCR process in the first step to investigate the optimum operation conditions of SNCR, with the equivalence ratio of the reducing agent(NSR, 0.5~5.0), reaction temperature($850{\sim}1,100^{\circ}C$), nozzle type(wall nozzle, pipe nozzle), and nozzle position as variables. In the case of wall nozzles, the NOx reduction efficiency rapidly increased to 87% at 2.5 NSR and slowed down after this. Compared to the upward spray from the pipe nozzle, wall nozzles have narrower range of applicable reaction temperature. In the case of pipe nozzles, it rapidly increased to 77% at 1.5 NSR. But the pipe nozzle downward had no NOx reduction efficiency; on the contrary, NOx increased. When the reducing agent was sprayed upward from a pipe nozzle, the NOx reduction efficiency was 50~75% in the range of 0.5~1.5 NSR, and the NOx reduction efficiency was constant without fluctuations even in the change of reaction temperature from 890 to $1,000^{\circ}C$. When 5% urea solution was sprayed upward from the pipe nozzle, 200 ppm NOx decreased to approximately 60 ppm at 1.2 NSR, and the non-reacted $NH_3$ was 50~100 ppm. In this condition, we expect over 90% NOx reduction efficiency without additional supply of $NH_3$ to SCR at the back of SNCR.

Effect of Fe Addition on Hydrogen Rich NSR Kinetics over Pt/Co/Ba/Al2O3 Catalyst (Pt/Co/Ba/Al2O3에 Fe 첨가가 수소 풍부 NSR 반응성에 미치는 영향)

  • Thermal aging effect on NSR kinetics was studied over Pt/Co/Fe/Ba/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst. The amount of $NO_x$ uptake over Pt/Co/Fe/Ba/$Al_2O_3$ calcined at $400^{\circ}C$ increased with increasing NSR temperature from $200^{\circ}C$ to $400^{\circ}C$, where amount of $NO_x$ uptake is the highest at $400^{\circ}C$ with mol ratio of $NO_x$/Ba = 0.5. Thereafter, the amount of $NO_x$ uptake at $400^{\circ}C$ decreased with the higher calcination temperature, where Pt/Co/Fe/Ba/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ showed an amount of $NO_x$ uptake with the mol ratio of $NO_x$/Ba=0.062. Result of XRD and NSR showed that Fe addition into Pt/Co/Fe/Ba/$Al_2O_3$ suppressed sintering of Pt crystallites and make $NO_x$ uptake larger, compared to no addition of Fe into Pt/Co/Fe/Ba/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst. From BET result, it was found that the change of specific surface area was relatively small by the thermal aging process. Therefore, it was found that the sintering of Pt crystallites caused the decrease of $NO_x$ uptake during NSR reaction and Fe played a role to suppress the sintering process of Pt crystallites caused by thermal aging.

Analytic Derivation of the Finite Wordlength Effect of the Twiddle Factors in Recursive Implementation of the Sliding-DFT (SDFT 순환 구현 시 진동계수의 유한 비트 표현에 따른 오차영향 해석)

  • This paper presents an analytic derivation of the erroneous effect when the sliding-DFT is implemented in a recursive way with the finite-bit approximation of the twiddle factors. The analysis result is obtained in a closed form equation of the noise-to-signal power ratio(NSR) employing the zero-mean white Gaussian signal as the target input of the DFT. The parameters of the wordlength used in representing the twiddle factors and the blocklength of the DFT appear in the NSR explicitly as its function variables. The derivation is based on the error dynamic equation which is derived from the recursive SDFT, and on the analytic exploration of the statistical characteristics of the approximation coefficients treating them as random variables of having spatial distributions. The analytically derived results are verified through the comparison with the data actually measured from the computer simulation experiment.

  • To manipulate the mechanical properties of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), addition of nano-sized silica on rubber was performed and nano-silica NBR composite (NSR) materials were fabricated by press molding. The effect of volume fraction of silica in the NSR on the spectroscopic and mechanical properties has been studied.

지구온난화와 북극해항로 여건변화의 추이

  • 최근 지구온난화의 영향으로 하절기 북극해의 얼음이 예상보다 빨리 녹고 있어 북극해항로의 상용화가 더욱 가속화될 전망이다. 지난해 여름 북극해빙의 크기는 1979년 인공위성관측 이래 최소치를 기록하였으며 또한 다년생 얼음구성비율도 낮아져 대부분이 1년생 얼음으로 대체됨으로써 선박의 운항기간도 점차 늘어나게 되었다.. 이러한 해빙의 가속화가 지속된다면 2030년경에는 북극해의 얼음이 완전히 녹을 것으로 예측되고 있다. 한편 러시아의 NSR 개방이후 비러시아 선박으로서는 2009년 독일 벨루가 선사 소속의 화물선 두 척이 NSR을 통과한 이래 지난 해에는 46척, 금년에는 그 수가 더욱 급격히 늘어나고 있어 앞으로 한.중.일의 NSR 선점경쟁이 더욱 치열해질 것으로 예상된다.

  • In this study, effects of temperature, NSR, and oxygen concentration on the $NO_x$ removal efficiency of an SNCR process were investigated experimentally as well as numerically using CHEMKIN-II program. The NO removal efficiency increased with the reactor temperature under oxygen-free condition, whereas when the oxygen concentration was 4%, the NO removal efficiency showed a maximum value at $900{\sim}950^{\circ}C$. The pressure of oxygen was shown to enhance the NO removal at low temperature. Regardless of the oxygen concentration, the NO removal efficiency increased with NSR. The temperature and NSR-dependencies of the NO removal efficiency predicted by CHEMKIN-II simulations were similar to that of the experimental results.

  • PON(Passive Optical Network) is the promising technology applicable to TPS(Triple Play Service). To improve process the packet, MAC(Multiple Access Control) is the most important technology in the PON. The core of MAC is DBA(Dynamic Bandwidth Assignment), it classifies SR-DBA(Status Report DBA) and NSR-DBA(Non Status Report DBA). But GPON DBA is using BPON's DBA, so it's bad in network efficiency. This study develop BR(Borrow-Refund)-DBA for improve network efficiency and prompt process. For take the gauge of performance evaluation, estimate about throughput, fairness and queue delay in SR-DBA and NSR-DBA environment
