This study examined the effectiveness of nutrition education and program using the diet rice bowl during a four-week diet program. Thirty-eight female college students were randomly assigned to a nutrition education (NE) group or a nutrition education and diet rice bowl (ND) group. The mean energy intake of the NE and ND group during the program was 1,130.8 kcal and 1,287.4 kcal, respectively. The total energy intake of both groups were significantly decreased during the program. In addition, the change of body weight and fat in both groups significantly decreased during the program. The NE group lost 2.8 kg of body weight and 1.4% of body fat, while the ND group lost 2.5 kg of body weight and 1.2% of body fat. The changes in total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol in both groups also significantly decreased during the program. However, there were no significant differences in the changes of body weight, body fat mass, the total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol between the two groups. This study could not identify a weight reduction effect of the diet rice bowl, however, this may be due to subjects' infrequent use of the diet rice bowl by their frequent meal skipping and eating-out in our study. Therefore, further studies regarding the compliance to the diet rice bowl should be conducted to examine its effectiveness on weight control.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents and designs of the developed 22 teaching and programs for the gifted students in elementary mathematics. The focus of the analysis were the participants and the characteristics of the contents, and were to reflect them on the areas of the 7th elementary mathematics curriculum and Renzulli's Enrichment Triad Model. The results of the study as follows: First, the programs for the low grade gifted students are very few compared to those of the high grade students. For earlier development of the young gifted students, we need to develop more programs for the young gifted students. Second, there are many programs in the area of geometry, whereas few programs are developed in the area of measurement. We need to develop programs in the various areas such as measurement, probability and statistics, and patterns and representations. Third, most programs do not follow the steps of the Renzulli's Enrichment Triad Model, and the frequency of appearance of the steps are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd enrichments, sequentially. We need to develop hierarchical programs in which the sequency and relations are well orchestrated. Fourth, the frequency of appearance is as follows as sequentially: types of exploration of topics, creative problem solving, using materials, project types, and types of games and puzzles. In the development of structure of the program, the following factors should be considered: name of the chapter, overview of the chapter, objectives, contents by steps, evaluation, reading materials, and extra materials.

Objective: Miniscrews are widely used in orthodontic treatment for the purpose of anchorage control. Maximum anchorage can be acquired by the use of miniscrews. Maxillary miniscrew has many clinical advantage for orthodontic treatment. Maxillary sinus, tooth root can be an obstacle for maxillary miniscrew installation. The purpose of this study was to find the safest area and direction of miniscrew insertion in consideration of the maxillary sinus. Methods: The maxillary sinus area of 40 patients (20 male, 20 female) was measured using 3D computed tomography and 3D reconstruction program. Results: The maxillary sinus floor was located most inferiorly between the 1st molar and 2nd molar and located most superiorly between the 1st premolar and 2nd premolar. Buccal bone thickness from the maxillary sinus is significantly thicker between the 1st molar and 2nd molar and significantly thinner between the 1st premolar and 2nd premolar. The area between the 1st premolar and 2nd premolar has a significantly longer vertical distance from CEJ to sinus in consideration of buccal bone thickness. Conclusions: Considering maxillary bone thickness, the posterior area has advantages over the anterior area for installing miniscrews safely and preventing perforation.
Preservation of the original form is the principle for conservation, management and utilization of cultural heritages. Thus, non-destructive analysis of these samples are important field of the conservation science. In this study, examined the applicability of nondestructive surface X-ray diffraction analysis (ND-XRD) for cultural heritage by materials (rock specimen, jade stone, pigment painted specimen, earthen artifact, metal artifact). In result, all type of sample is recorded suitable X-ray diffraction patterns for identifying mineral composition in case of surface condition with adequate particle size and arrangement. And diffraction pattern is reflected surface information than matrix. Therefore, ND-XRD is thought to be applicable not only mineral identification but also interpretation of manufacturing technique and alteration trend about layered sample (in horizontally or vertically). Whereas some exceptional diffraction patterns were recorded due to overlapping information on specific crystal planes. It caused by skip the sample treatment (powdering and randomly orientation). It could be advantageously used for mineral identification, such as preferred orientation of clay minerals. In contrast, irregular diffraction pattern caused by single crystalline effect is required careful evaluation.
This is a study on operation system's application method for leading-in public bike operation system through researching on case study at home and abroad, and situation research in Naju city. In the 1st research, studied about the main problems showed at application cases of public bike system at domestic and overseas, such as using time, danger for be stolen and damaged. 2nd research focuses on necessarily of leading-in operation system to be used easily by city residents and travelers of Naju City which is the scheduled city for leading-in public bike system. 3rd research is on the basis of the result showed in 1st and 2nd research, supplied some problems' solving method for France Veblib System, such as lending and rental process using mobile, system operation process, communication process. Also, supplied the application method for problems showed at 1st and 2nd research and civil service proposal. The leading-in method study on public bike operation system was done through above research, also case study at home and abroad, situation study, and rental program module development, and this operation system is worked as an model operation system in Naju City. The future study of leading-in operation system will be more effective by means of summing up test running result.

In the process of establishing the principle of genetics, Mendel discovered problems based on various observations. Mendel's scientific thinking ability can be effective if this ability is embedded in gifted science education programs. The study aims to develop a science gifted education program utilizing Mendel's scientific thinking ability shown in the principles of genetics and examine students' changes in scientific thinking ability before and after the program implementation. For the program development, first, the characteristics of Mendel's scientific thinking ability in the process of establishing the principle of genetics were investigated and extracted the major elements of inquiry. Second, the science gifted education programs was developed by applying the inquiry elements from the Mendel's Law. The program was implemented with 19 students of $7^{th}$, $8^{th}$ graders who attend the science gifted education center affiliated with university during July 2011. The Mendel's scientific thinking ability was classified into induction, deduction, and integration. The elements of inquiry extracted from the Mendel's scientific thinking include making observation, puzzling observation, proposing causal questions, generating hypothesis, drawing inference, designing experiment, gathering and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making generalization. With applying these elements, the program was developed with four phases: $1^{st}$ - problem finding; $2^{nd}$ - hypothesis generating; $3^{rs}$ - hypothesis testing and $4^{th}$ - problem solving. After implementation, students' changes in scientific thinking ability were measured. The findings from the study are as follows: First, students' abilities of problem finding is significantly (p<.05) increased. Second, students' abilities of hypothesis generating is significantly (pp<.05) increased.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of environmental classes using EBS program on the environmental sensitivity and environmentally responsible behavior of 6th grade elementary school students. To this end, the 2015 revised elementary school curriculum was reconstructed for 6th grade students, and subject-centered environmental classes were planned, and EBS educational broadcasting environmental contents suitable for each class were applied and utilized. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, this study analyzed the 2015 revised curriculum and reorganized the 6th grade curriculum and creative experience activities to plan the 22nd environmental class, specifying environmental sensitivity and environmentally responsible behavior that can have a positive impact on learners in each class. EBS educational broadcasting environmental contents that can be utilized were selected and environmental classes were conducted using them. Second, it was found that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting had a significant effect on improving the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students. The fact that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting goes beyond the spatial limitations of schools and informs that global citizens are interested in environmental problems and are working to solve environmental problems. Third, it was found that environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting had a significant effect on elementary school students' environmentally responsible behavior. This is because environmental classes using EBS educational broadcasting do not stop at imparting knowledge, but suggest learning that leads to civic behavior, educational behavior, economic behavior, physical behavior, and persuasive behavior related to the environment.

Although many elementary school students love to read edutainment comics, they are not appropriately guided when they read those books. This study aimed to suggest the necessity of reading instruction for the edutainment comics. To achieve the purpose of this study, we examined the 8 chapters programs of reading instruction-for the 4th grade students-in 2 times. After carrying out the 1st program, we found out the problem related to the program and developed the trouble shooted the 2nd program. The purpose of this study is to show necessity of reading instruction on the edutainment comics in order to activate students' reading. This research shows that if teachers use edutainment comics appropriately to teach students with learning difficulties and reading difficulties, they might help the students by developing their learning abilities and enthusiasm for reading. This study suggests reading guidance program should be used to improve students' learning and reading activities as elementary school students can have more interests to specific topics through the edutainment comics.

This study examines the relationship between social-emotional competence, major satisfaction, and career preparation behaviors for nursing students and identifies factors influencing career preparation behaviors. Data collection was conducted from December 5, 2023, to January 3, 2024, targeting 197 nursing college students (2nd to 4th year) from universities located in S City, C Province, and K Province. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 software, employing descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA (post hoc analysis using Scheffe), Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. The results indicated statistically significant positive correlations among nursing students' social-emotional competence, major satisfaction, and career preparation behaviors. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that factors influencing career preparation behaviors included year of study, participation in career-related programs, social-emotional competence, and major satisfaction, with these variables explaining 40.3% of the variance in career preparation behaviors. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop and apply programs to strengthen social-emotional competencies considering the academic year of nursing student. And customized career programs should be established to increase major satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of verbal-violence prevention program on friendship and aggression of 2nd graders in elementary schools. In order to verify these purpose, total of 24 2nd graders from each different two elementary school located in the A-Gun(a rural-mountainous area) of JeollaBukdo. Out of students, 12 students were into the experimental group, while the rest of 12 students were into the control-group. Then, the experimental group participated in the verbal-violence prevention program. Both groups were pretested the questionnaire on friendship and the questionnaire on aggression. For 12 students of the experimental group, total of 10 sessions: (40 minutes per session and 2 times a week) of program were conducted. After the sessions were complete, students of two groups took the post-test for proving the effects of the program. The results through this study can be summarized as follows. First, there was a significant difference in friendship between the experimental groups which participated in the verbal-violence prevention program and the controlled group which didn't participate in any program. Second, there was a significant difference in aggression reduction between the experimental groups which participated in verbal-violence prevention program and the controlled group which didn't participate in any program.
