Microstructural and Electrical Properties of Bi0.9A0.1Fe0.975V0.025O3+α(A=Nd, Tb) Thin Films by Chemical Solution Deposition Method (화학용액 증착법으로 제조한 Bi0.9A0.1Fe0.975V0.025O3+α(A=Nd, Tb) 박막의 구조와 전기적 특성)

  • We have evaluated the ferroelectric and electrical properties of pure $BiFeO_3$ (BFO) and $Bi_{0.9}A_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}V_{0.025}O_{3+{\alpha}}$ (A=Nd, Tb) thin films on $Pt(111)/Ti/SiO_2/Si(100)$ substrates by using a chemical solution deposition method. The remnant polarization ($2P_r$) of the $Bi_{0.9}Tb_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}V_{0.025}O_{3+{\alpha}}$ (BTFVO) thin film was approximately $65{\mu}C/cm^2$, with a maximum applied electric field of 950 kV/cm and a frequency of 10 kHz, where as that of the $Bi_{0.9}Nd_{0.1}Fe_{0.975}V_{0.025}O_{3+{\alpha}}$ (BNFVO) thin film was approximately $37{\mu}C/cm^2$ with a maximum applied electric field of 910 kV/cm. The leakage current density of the co-doped BNFVO thin film was four orders of magnitude lower than that of the pure BFO thin film, at $2.75{\times}10^{-7}A/cm^2$ with an applied electric field of 100 kV/cm. The grain size and uniformity of the co-doped BNFVO and BTFVO thin films were improved, in comparison to the pure BFO thin film, through structural modificationsdue to the co-doping with Nd and Tb.

  • In this paper to prevent human errors analyzed the causes of railway accidents and human error in last 5 years(2007~2011). The 2nd Railway Comprehensive Safety Plan currently being implemented in the safety business for prevention of human error. The accidents are often resulted from multiple causes with hardware failure and human errors. And prevention of human error associated with the implementation details of the priority projects, 14 projects were selected by draw. Then Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) methodology was used to select what projects were effective to human error.

  • The rare-earth ions (R3+, R=Nd, Er) doped CaF2 layers have been grown on CaF2(111) substrate by molecular beam epitaxy. The epitaxial relationship and the crystallinity of CaF2:R3+ layers depending on the concentration of R3+ were studied by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). In aspect of application as buffer layer in semiconductor-related hybrid structure, the lattice displacement between CaF2:R3+ layers and CaF2(111) substrate was investigated by X-ray rocking curve analysis.

  • 전자가속기는 대표적인 방사선 발생장치 중의 하나로서, 오랜 세월 동안 연구개발 되어왔으며 의료 및 산업현장에서 활용되어 왔고 그 이용분야도 매우 폭넓다. 전자가속기는 최근 들어 기술이 확산되고 성능이 고도화되면서 그 활용과 함께 전자가속기 개발 및 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 이러한 연구개발에 있어 전자가속기의 가속관 제작은 가장 기본이 되는 중요한 부분 중에 하나이다. 가속관제작에 있어서 RF parameter들인 resonance frequency, bandwidth, 10 GHz 범위의 higher order modes와 quality factor는 가속관에서 중요한 특성이다. 본 연구에서는 9, 6 MeV 에너지를 가지는 2856 MHz의 고주파 전자가속기의 가속관 설계, 제작 및 튜닝에 있어서 network analyzer를 이용하여 RF parameter를 측정하여 가속관의 특성을 분석한다.

  • Laser induced incandescence and laser induced fluorescence techniques have been investigated to measure the concentrations of soot and PAH, respectively. The Nd:YAG and dye lasers were used to form a sheet beam, and its wavelength were modulated to obtain a optimized signals of soot and PAH. Results showed that the relative size groups of soot and PAH can be measured by using our laser techniques.

  • The effect of asymmetric rolling on the recrystallization texture of an AA 3003 Aluminum alloy was investigated by X-ray diffraction. It was found that the texture of asymmetrically rolled sheets prior to subsequent heat treatment promoted the formation of the <111>//ND textures, and remained after heat treatment at $275^{\circ}C$ during 20 min in salt bath condition.

Weight Reduction and Lipid Lowering Effects of Kimchi Lactic Acid Powder in Rats Fed High Fat Diets (고지방식이를 섭취한 흰쥐에서 김치유산균분말의 비만 억제 및 지질 저하 효과)

  • Effects of kimchi lactic acid powder (KL) on weight reduction and lipid-lowering activities were studied using rats fed high fat diet. Spraque Dawley (40 rats) were fed 20% (w/w) high fat diet far 8 weeks to induce obesity and divided equally into normal diet (ND), high fat diet (HFD), and 10 and 20% KL-added groups. Body weight of HFD was 150% (p<0.01) of ND, while those of HFK10 and HFK20 decreased by 13 and 15% compared to HFD, respectively (p<0.01). Amounts of visceral fats for HFK10 and HFK20 were decreased by 42 and 48% compared to that of HFD (198% of ND), respectively (p<0.01). B had greater effect on reducing visceral fats than body weight. Plasma triglyceride (155%), cholesterol (129%), and LDL (161%) concentrations of HFD, which had been significantly increased compared to ND, dropped by 26, 9, and 8% (p<0.01) in HFK10, and 35, 17, and 33% (p<0.05) in HFK20, respectively. Decreased HDL by high fat diet was re-increased by KL supplementation. KL showed lipid-lowering and liver-protecting effects in liver possibly by interrupting lipid absorption in the intestine either by absorbing lipids in their cell walls or degrading them rapidly. Increased excretion of TG and cholesterol in feces of HFK10 and HFK20 indicates KL might have similar role to dietary fiber.

Survey of Heavy Metal Contents and Intake Rates After Decoction in Herbal Medicines Classified by Parts (한약재의 약용부위별 중금속 함량 및 탕 액에서의 이행률 조사)

  • The study was conducted to estimate the contents of heavy metal in commercial herbal medicines (1047 samples of 132 species) which were collected from markets in Seoul and to analyze the contents of heavy metals of herbal medicines by classifying them by parts. The samples were digested using microwave method. The contents of heavy metal (Pb, Cd, and As) and Hg were determined using Inductively coupled plasma-Mass spectrometer (ICP/MS). And the contents of Hg were obtained by Mercury analyzer. The average values of heavy metal in herbal medicines were as follows [mean (minimum-maximum), mg/kg]; Pb 0.870 (ND-69.200), As 0.148 (ND-2.965), Cd 0.092 (ND-2.010), and Hg 0.007 (ND-0.B7). And the average values of heavy metal by parts in herbal medicines were as follows [mean (minimum-maximum), mg/kg]; Ramulus 2.046 (0.065-4.474), Herba 1.886 (0.048-10.404), Flos 1.874 (0.052-5.393), Cortex 1.377 (0.011-4.837), Radix 1.165 (0.012-70.111), Rhizoma 1.116 (0.016-5.490, Fructus 0.838 (0.017-4.527), Perithecium 0.729 (0.013-4.953), Semen 0.646 (0.006-4.416). The average values of heavy metal of imported herbal medicines except Radix were higher than domestic ones. By decoction of herbal medicines exceeding the tolerances, average intake rates of Pb, As, Cd and Hg were obtained as 6.1%, 40.3%, 4.7%, and 2.2%, respectively.

  • Chlorine dioxide is being used to control THMs formation or taste & odor in water treatment plant. Recently, some operators or academic circles doubted the effectiveness of stabilized chlorine dioxide which is presumed as a liquid form of chlorine dioxide. In this study, we investigated components which consist of stabilized chlorine dioxide in terms of chlorine dioxide and chlorite. Two analytical methods used in this study are UV method and Iodometric method. Iodometric method is recommended by Korean EPA to check the purity of stabilized chlorine dioxide. The samples of stabilized chlorine dioxide from four water treatments were investigated and compared with that produced from chlorine dioxide generator on-site. This study demonstrated that the component of stabilized chlorine dioxide was overwhelmingly chlorite (${ClO_2}^-$) not chlorine dioxide ($ClO_2$) by UV method. It was also proved that Iodometric method (2nd method) recommended by Korean EPA could not differentiate between $ClO_2$ and ${ClO_2}^-$. Iodometric method (2nd method) recommended by Korean EPA should be revised accordingly to measure chlorine dioxide properly.

  • [ $R_{1/3}Sr_{2/3}FeO_{3}$ ](R=Pr, Nd, and Sm) was synthesized and their magnetic properties and charge ordering(CO) transition related with lattice dynamics and oxygen vacancy were systematically investigated. The charge disproportion ation(CD) in $R_{1/3}Sr_{2/3}FeO_{3}$(R=Pr,Nd) was in which two kins of iron with valence state $Fe^{3+}$ and $Fe^{5+}$ were found with ratio of 2:1. In this charge ordering state a sequence of $Fe^{3+}Fe^{3+}Fe^{5+}Fe^{3+}Fe^{3+}Fe^{5+}$ exists aligned along the [111] direction of the pseudocubic perovskite structure. The charge ordering exist in distorted structure involving $t_{pd}$ hybridization. The disordering phases coexist in distorted structure as temprature in creases that is controlled amount of oxygen vacancy. The magnetic hyperfine fields indicate charge tranfering temperature as it dissapeared drastically.
