This work continues a trend of developments aimed at exploiting the physical layer of the open systems interconnection (OSI) model to enhance wireless network security. The goal is to augment activity occurring across other OSI layers and provide improved safeguards against unauthorized access. Relative to intrusion detection and anti-spoofing, this paper provides details for a proof-of-concept investigation involving "air monitor" applications where physical equipment constraints are not overly restrictive. In this case, RF fingerprinting is emerging as a viable security measure for providing device-specific identification (manufacturer, model, and/or serial number). RF fingerprint features can be extracted from various regions of collected bursts, the detection of which has been extensively researched. Given reliable burst detection, the near-term challenge is to find robust fingerprint features to improve device distinguishability. This is addressed here using wavelet domain (WD) RF fingerprinting based on dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-$\mathbb{C}WT$) features extracted from the non-transient preamble response of OFDM-based 802.11a signals. Intra-manufacturer classification performance is evaluated using four like-model Cisco devices with dissimilar serial numbers. WD fingerprinting effectiveness is demonstrated using Fisher-based multiple discriminant analysis (MDA) with maximum likelihood (ML) classification. The effects of varying channel SNR, burst detection error and dissimilar SNRs for MDA/ML training and classification are considered. Relative to time domain (TD) RF fingerprinting, WD fingerprinting with DT-$\mathbb{C}WT$ features emerged as the superior alternative for all scenarios at SNRs below 20 dB while achieving performance gains of up to 8 dB at 80% classification accuracy.
In order to represent multiple regression data, an alternative graphical method, called as SSR Plot, is proposed by using geometrical description methods. This plot uses the relation that the sum of sqaures for regression (SSR) of two explanatory variables is known as the sum of the SSR of one variable and the increase in the SSR due to the addition of other variable to the model that already contains a variable. This half circle shaped SSR plot contains vectors corresponding explanatory variables. We might conclude that some explanatory variables corresponding to vectors which locate near the horisontal axis do affect the response variable. Also, for the regression model with two explanatory variables, a magnitude of the angle between two vectors can be identified for suppression.
In simple and multiple regression, there is a difference in the meaning of regression coefficients, and not only are the estimates of regression coefficients different, but they also have different signs. Understanding the relative contribution of explanatory variables in a regression model is an important part of regression analysis. In a standardized regression model, the regression coefficient can be interpreted as the change in the response variable with respect to the standard deviation when the explanatory variable increases by the standard deviation in a situation where the values of the explanatory variables other than the corresponding explanatory variable are fixed. However, the size of the standardized regression coefficient is not a proper measure of the relative importance of each explanatory variable. In this paper, the estimator of the regression coefficient in multiple regression is expressed as a function of the correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination. Furthermore, it is considered in terms of the effect of an additional explanatory variable and additional increase in the coefficient of determination. We also explore the relationship between estimates of regression coefficients and correlation coefficients in various plots. These results are specifically applied when there are two explanatory variables.
A 17-run Box-Behnken design was used to optimize the synthesis conditions of a monolithic sorbent. The effects of the amount of monomer (mL), crosslink (mL) and porogen (mL) were investigated. The experimental data were fitted to a second-order polynomial equation by the multiple regression analysis and examined using statistical methods. The adjusted coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of the model was 0.9915. The probability value (p < 0.0001) demonstrated a high significance for the regression model. A mean amount of polymer as 2120.15 mg was produced under the following optimum synthesis conditions: the optimized volumes of monomer, crosslink and porogen are 0.30, 1.40, and 1.47 mL, respectively. This was in good agreement with the predicted model value.
The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model, semi-distributed model, first divides the watershed into multiple subwatersheds, and then extracts the basic computation element, called the Hydrologic Response Unit (HRU). In the process of HRU generation, the spatial information of land use and soil maps within each subwatershed is lost. The SWAT model estimates the HRU topographic data based on the average slope of each subwatershed, and then use this topographic datum for all HRUs within the subwatershed. To improve the SWAT capabilities for various watershed scenarios, the Spatially Distributed-HRU (SD-HRU) pre-processor module was developed in this study to simulate site-specific topographic data. The SD-HRU was applied to the Hae-an watershed, where field slope lengths and slopes are measured for all agricultural fields. The analysis revealed that the SD-HRU pre-processor module needs to be applied in SWAT sediment simulation for accurate analysis of soil erosion and sediment behaviors. If the SD-HRU pre-processor module is not applied in SWAT runs, the other SWAT factors may be over or under estimated, resulting in errors in physical and empirical computation modules although the SWAT estimated flow and sediment values match the measured data reasonably well.
Purpose: How to build the positive emotion of customer is very important, because it affects the positive attitude. Brand evidence has a significant impact on consumer behavior in terms of reinforcing consumers' perception of food service companies and differentiating them from competing brands. Thus, this study examines the effect of brand evidence on emotion (positive emotion and negative emotion), and attitude in restaurant industry. Research design, data, and methodology: This study examines the structural relationship among brand evidence, emotion, and attitude. Brand evidence divide into three sub-dimensions such as physical evidence, core service, and employee service. In order to test the purposes of this study, research model and hypotheses were developed. The questionnaire items were modified and used according to the content of this study based on previous studies. All constructs were measured by multiple items tested and developed in the previous research. The data were collected from 439 restaurant users from Seoul area were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 program. A total of 460 questionnaires were distributed and a survey was conducted for 4 weeks, and a total of 439 were used for analysis, excluding non-response data and 21 unusable response data among the collected questionnaires. Frequency analysis was conducted to identify the general characteristics of the survey subjects. To measure the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Structural model analysis was conducted to verify the research model. Result: The findings demonstrate that physical evidence, core service, employee service had positive effects on positive emotion. And core service and employee service had negative effects on negative emotion while physical evidence did not have. Also, positive emotion had positive effect on attitude and negative emotion had negative effect on attitude. Conclusions: The findings of this study provide guidelines on how to enhance competitiveness in restaurant industry through understanding brand evidence's effects on raising perceived consumer's emotion and attitude. Therefore, food service companies should establish a marketing strategy that can stimulate positive emotions through brand evidence, which is all factors related to service brands that influence consumers' evaluation of service products and purchase decision-making process.

The kinetic analysis of a heavily aluminized cyclotrimethylene-trinitramine(RDX) is conducted using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), and the Friedman isoconversional method is applied to the DSC experimental data. The pre-exponential factor and activation energy are extracted as a function of the product mass fraction. The extracted kinetic scheme does not assume multiple chemical steps to describe the complex response of energetic materials; instead, a set of multiple Arrhenius factors is constructed based on the local progress of the exothermic reaction. The resulting reaction kinetic scheme is applied to two thermal decomposition tests for validating the reactive flow response of a heavily aluminized RDX. The results support applicability of the present model to practical thermal explosion systems.
Recently, container terminal operators have made efforts to develop an efficient remarshalling plan in response to the increase in automation of equipment handling and transport of containers in the terminals. Usually, containers are handled by multiple AYCs(automated yard cranes) in-yard in an automated container terminal, and terminal operators establish a remarshalling plan using slack time to increase the efficiency of ship operation. This study develops the optimal mathematical model through mixed integer programming as a solution to the problem of dispatching multiple AYCs. Considering the difficulty of direct application to the field due to computation time, we analyze the five prototypical dispatching rules for real world adaptation. A numerical experiment found that the maximum weight ratio (MR) rule and the maximum weight (MW) rule are the ideal dispatching solutions to the multiple AYCs dispatching problem.

The aeromechanics predictions of HART I rotor obtained using a computational structural dynamics (CSD) code are evaluated against the wind tunnel test data. The flight regimes include low speed descending flight at an advance ratio of ${\mu}=0.151$ and cruise condition at ${\mu}=0.229$. A lifting-line based unsteady airfoil theory with C81 table look-up is used to calculate the aerodynamic loads acting on the blade. Either rolled-up free wake or multiple-trailer wake with consolidation (MTC) model is employed for the free vortex wake representation. The measured blade properties accomplished recently are used to analyze the rotor for the up-to-date computations. The comparison results on airloads and structural loads of the rotor show good agreements for descent flight and fair for cruise flight condition. It is observed that MTC model generally improves the correlation against the measured data. The structural loads predictions for all measurement locations of HART I rotor are investigated. The dominant harmonic response of the structural loads is clearly captured with MTC model.
As fuel cells approach commercialization, hydrogen production becomes a critical step in the overall energy conversion pathway. Reforming is a process that produces a hydrogen-rich gas from hydrocarbon fuels. Hydrogen production via autothermal reforming (ATR) is particularly attractive for applications that demand a quick start-up and response time in a compact size. However, further research is required to optimize the performance of autothermal reformers and accurate models of reactor performance must be developed and validated. The design includes the requirement of accommodating a wide range of experimental set ups. Factors considered in the design of the reformer are capability to use multiple fuels, ability to vary stoichiometry, precise temperature and pressure control, implementation of enhancement methods, capability to implement variable catalyst positions and catalyst arrangement, ability to monitor and change reactant mixing, and proper implementation of data acquisition. A model of the system was first developed in order to calculate flowrates, heating, space velocity, and other important parameters needed to select the hardware that comprises the reformer. Predicted performance will be compared to actual data once the reformer construction is completed. This comparison will quantify the accuracy of the model and should point to areas where further model development is required. The end result will be a research tool that allows engineers to optimize hydrogen production via autothermal reformation.
