예비유아교사의 멀티미디어 활용능력 향상을 위한 교재개발 및 효과-시지각 인터페이스를 중심으로 (Development of Teaching Materials and Effects for the Improvement of Multimedia Utilization Ability for Pre-Kindergarten Teachers-Focusing on Visual Perception Interface)

  • This study was practiced in order to develop a textbook to improve early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia required by kindergartens and to examine its effects. First, investigation of the status of multimedia application of early childhood teachers in kindergartens was done along with looking through their attitude and anxiety. The expertise and the multimedia education was required in early childhood education and curriculum. As a result, 15 categories and 50 subcategories under 4 themes were drawn through the procedures of qualitative analysis. The conclusions obtained through this study were the following: First, the education for multimedia application related to the tasks required in kindergartens is needed instead of the common education for multimedia application, to improve the ability to use multimedia for early childhood teachers. Second, multimedia education based on visual theory for the purpose of early childhood education, rather than common features-centered multimedia education, is helpful for the improvement of early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia. Finally, the improvement of early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia will be a chance to provide children with a better educational environment.

전통적 교육이론에 따른 유아교육용 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 설계 방안 (Multimedia Contents Design for Early Childhood Education to Traditional Education Theory)

  • This study investigates design strategies for improving the educational quality of multimedia contents for early childhood education. It emphasizes both traditional education theory and developmental aspects in its exploration of interactive and educational qualitative multimedia contents for early children. Accordingly, for an effective early childhood education, it is necessary to experience of the playful learning for the conception of ideas and the understanding of the social life. Because this study 1) possibility of multimedia contents for early childhood education, 2) computer application method for early childhood education, 3) examines used in the designing of multimedia contents for early childhood education according to traditional education theory. Multimedia early childhood education system is possible to organize information such as test, image, sound and video based on hyperlink system. I use Microsoft's Ms-office and Asymetrix's ToolBook software that are useful for hyperlink and parameter. Multimedia contents and other pages are used by Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE). Therefore multimedia contents for early childhood education is a useful tool for students of early childhood education department, parents, and children.

멀티미디어교육과정에서 나타난 예비유아교사의 인식 변화 연구 (Study on Process of Changes of Thinking and Experience Through Early Childhood Multimedia Education)

  • 본 연구는 유아멀티미디어 교육에 참여한 예비유아교사들의 경험과 사고를 이해하기 위하여 유아멀티미디어 교육과정에서 나타난 변화과정에 대해서 분석하였다. 2012년 8월 27일부터 11월 26일까지 총 14주 동안 7차에 걸쳐 예비유아교사의 반성적 저널쓰기, 소그룹 토의를 실시하였다. 연구 자료를 바탕으로 영역분석과 주제 분석을 실시한 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 멀티미디어 교육을 통해 기존의 멀티미디어에 대한 안목과 인식의 변화를 경험하였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 유아에게 멀티미디어를 제공하는 것에 대해 유아들이 교육현장 이외의 곳에서 많은 멀티미디어를 접할 것이라는 것에 동의하며 피할 수 없는 것이라고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사들은 멀티미디어 교육과 관련된 수업에 관하여 멀티미디어와 유아교육을 연결시키지 못하였으며 교육적으로 사용하는 것에 대한 부담을 가지고 있었다. 넷째, 예비유아교사들은 유아 멀티미디어 교육에 관한 수업을 받으면서 멀티미디어에 대한 부정적인 생각들이 긍정적으로 바뀌는 것을 경험하면서 멀티미디어에 대한 구체적인 교육을 요구하고 있었다.

멀티미디어를 활용한 지구계 수업이 초등학생들의 환경민감도 및 환경 친화적 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Earth System Education Using Multimedia on Elementary School Student's Environmental Sensitivity and Pro-environmental Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Earth System Education using multimedia on the elementary school students' environmental sensitivity and pro-environmental behavior. To verify this research problem, the subject of this study was fifth-grade students selected from two classes of M elementary school located in Busan city. For three months, the experimental group of 25 students was taught using multimedia. The comparison group also of 26 students was taught in normal classes which used a text-book. All students were given pre and post test to verify the effects of Earth System Education using multimedia on elementary school student's environmental sensitivity and pro-environmental behavior. The results from this study are as the following. First, Earth System Education using multimedia were effective on elementary school student's environmental sensitivity. Second, Earth System Education using multimedia were effective on elementary school student's pro-environmental behavior. Third, All most all experimental students were satisfied with Earth System Education using multimedia. In conclusion, Earth System Education using multimedia showed very positive effects on improvement of elementary school students' environmental sensitivity and pro-environmental behavior.

  • 95년도부터 시작되어진 전문대학의 멀티미디어 관련학과 교육은 질적으로 내실 있는 교육이라기 보다는 사회의 멀티미디어 관련산업의 거품현상에 편승(便乘)하여 무리하게 급조(急造)된 제작 실무자를 양산(量産)하고 있는 실정이다. IMF 이후 현 경제 상황에서 멀티미디어 관련 인력의 과다 공급과 소비 인력의 극한 감소는 우선적으로 선택되어지기 위한 교육의 질적인 전문화와 차별화를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구는 멀티미디어 관련학과의 전문화와 차별화를 이루기 위한 현실적인 문제점과 교육목표, 특히 전임교수에 대한 문제점과 해결방안(方案)을 제시하며, 이런 상황에 처해 있는 전문대학의 상황 극복 방법을 바탕으로 앞으로 전문대학이 추구해야할 미래 지향적이고 사회의 요구를 앞서가는 전문대학의 위상(位相)을 제시하고자 한다.

The Importance of Multimedia for Professional Training of Future Specialists

  • For high-quality education of the modern generation of students, forms of organizing the educational process and the latest methods of obtaining knowledge that differ from traditional ones are necessary. The importance of multimedia teaching tools is shown, which are promising and highly effective tools that allow the teacher not only to present an array of information in a larger volume than traditional sources of information, but also to include text, graphs, diagrams, sound, animation, video, etc. in a visually integrated form. Approaches to the classification of multimedia learning tools are revealed. Special features, advantages of multimedia, expediency of use and their disadvantages are highlighted. A comprehensive analysis of the capabilities of multimedia teaching tools gave grounds for identifying the didactic functions that they perform. Several areas of multimedia application are described. Multimedia technologies make it possible to implement several basic methods of pedagogical activity, which are traditionally divided into active and passive principles of student interaction with the computer, which are revealed in the article. Important conditions for the implementation of multimedia technologies in the educational process are indicated. The feasibility of using multimedia in education is illustrated by examples. Of particular importance in education are game forms of learning, in the implementation of which educational elements based on media material play an important role. The influence of the game on the development of attention by means of works of media culture, which are very diverse in form and character, is shown. The importance of the role of multimedia in student education is indicated. In the educational process of multimedia students, a number of educational functions are implemented, which are presented in the article. Recommendations for using multimedia are given.

멀티미디어 제작 실습에서의 촉각장치 활용에 관한 연구 (Using Haptic Device in Multimedia Education)

  • Mouse is widely used in multimedia education. However, using mouse is not easy for user to get exact three dimentional (3D) user input and to manipulate delicately as the user can not know the surface information of virtual objects, which are typical drawbacks of using mouse in multimedia education, especially in 3D multimedia contents authoring. In this paper, haptic device is introduced to the 3D multimedia education. The haptic device provides 3D user's input information as well as haptic information of virtual objects such as surface textures, collisions and etc. which thus allow to enhance the task efficiency in multimedia education. Simple experiment results are presented to show the positive results of using the haptic device in multimedia education.

멀티미디어 통합에 의한 원격교육 강의 녹화 (Lecture Encoding of Distance Education by Multimedia Integration)

  • In distance education, use of proper software tools can greatly enhance student's attention and learning efficiency. In such software tools, offering diverse multimedia information is one of the most critical factors. However, integration and synchronization of the various media types has been relatively difficult parts of implementation. This paper proposes a prototype system that uses a metafile and event handling mechanism for the uniform treatment of various media types. This event-level integration and synchronization of multimedia makes the implementation relatively simple. With this approach, instructor's behaviors are automatically recorded, and the instructors can freely choose and show any type of multimedia contents while lecturing. Current commercial or non-commercial lecture management systems could incorporate this approach, so that the distance education market could be expanded with richer multimedia contents.

  • Recently, the rabid development of information technology has brought enormous changes in education. Consolidation of communications and multimedia technologies are enabling the new educational paradigm such as distance learning and virtual education. Furthermore, many studies in the education engineering field report that teaching using multimedia technologies more enhances students' performance than the traditional instructor-teaching method. However, little research regarding the education using multimedia has been done in the MIS filed. None of multimedia-related studies could be found in the top-ranked MIS journals published in Korea for the last five years, and only a few studies were found even worldwide. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate which features of multimedia software are most important to enhance the teaching results of students. From the previous research, we found out the specific features of the educational multimedia software which are considered to affect the students'performance, and defined the research variables related to those educational software features. And, based on the constructivism and motivation theory of the education engineering field a theoretical research model and research hypotheses were developed. Perceived usefulness of the class and a student's perceived interests in the class were used as surrogate variables to measure teaching performance. Total 277 students participated separately in one of the two multimedia classes which have continued for three weeks. One was C programming language class and the other was multimedia CD-title development class. Each student listened for the multimedia session of the class using multimedia software and, at the end of the multimedia session, answered the survey questionnaire. The results of the study show that motivation to the class and the contents of education were statistically significant to the students'performance in the class. That implies, not only in the traditional instructor-teaching method but also in the multimedia class, that the contents of education itself and student's motivation to the class are most important to raise instructional results.
