  • Nanopatterning is one of the essential nanotechnologies to fabricate electronic and energy nanodevices. Therefore, many research group members made a lot of efforts to develop simple and useful nanopatterning methods to obtain highly ordered nanostructures with functionality. In this study, in order to achieve pattern formation of three-dimensional (3D) hierarchical nanostructures, we introduce a simple and useful patterning method (nano-transfer printing (n-TP) process) consisting of various linewidths for diverse materials. Pt and $WO_3$ hybrid line structures were successfully stacked on a flexible polyimide substrate as a multi-layered hybrid 3D pattern of Pt/WO3/Pt with line-widths of $1{\mu}m$, $1{\mu}m$ and 250 nm, respectively. This simple approach suggests how to fabricate multiscale hybrid nanostructures composed of multiple materials. In addition, functional hybrid nanostructures can be expected to be applicable to various next-generation electronic devices, such as nonvolatile memories and energy harvesters.

  • Integrating dielectric materials into LTCC is a convenient method to increase the integration density in electronic circuits. To enable co-firing of the high-k and low-k dielectric LTCC materials in a multi-material hetero-laminate, the shrinkage characteristics of both materials should be similar. Moreover, thermal expansion mismatch between materials during co-firing should be minimized. The alternating stacking of an LTCC with silica filler and that with calcium-zirconate filler was observed to examine the use of the same glass in different LTCCs to minimize the difference in shrinkage and thermal expansion coefficient. For the LTCC of silica filler with a low dielectric constant and that of calcium zirconate filler with a high dielectric constant, the amount of shrinkage was examined through a thermomechanical analysis, and the predicted appropriate fraction of each filler was applied to green sheets by tape casting. The green sheets of different fillers were alternatingly laminated to the thickness of 500 ㎛. As a result of examining the junction, it was observed through SEM that a complete bonding was achieved by constrained sintering in the structure of 'calcium zirconate 50 vol%-silica 30 vol%-calcium zirconate 50 vol%'.

  • Development of digital technology, which is individualizing and differentiating the world, makes time and space facilitate multi-layering in the contemporary society. It gives a large influence on the contemporary architecture that inducing the visual and spatial experience. Also, It generates new images through the skin of architecture, which implies the contingent and fluid characteristics. These phenomenon show that various parameters are working on the architectural skin simultaneously. Such complexity make the structure of open space and diversity that are homogenized and synchronized. Like this, the architectural skin implies 'multiplicity': qualitative difference which is enable to change and create new images. This characteristic generates instant images changing variously and semantics constantly by the function of skin as a filter. Also, the architectural skin integrates or relocates of relationships between the various information and elements appearing in contemporary society in order to escape the customary relationship between internal and external. Furthermore, the inside and outside of the mixture as a collection of sense has been recognized as one image. This image of mixture consists of one unified continuous integration and extend the meaning of a fluid interface not just surface of the building. The skin of the contemporary architecture is very technical, so its meaning and role is expanded as a complex that exchange interaction. This means that the skin itself has functional elements of the integrated multiple skin to assist. Also it can form a multi-layered relationship and act as a wide range of interfaces depending on the perception of the observer. Therefore the multiplicity of the architectural skin indicates the importance as a boundary that generate images of new life through the sensory perception and implicit force. And it shows potential as the intermediary to try to communicate.

  • Current global textiles and fashion industries have gradually shifted focus to high value-added, high sensibility, and multi-functional products based on new human-friendliness and sustainable growth technologies. Textile design CAD systems have been developed in conjunction with computer hardware and software sector advances. This study compares the patterns or images of actual woven fabrics and virtual fabrics prepared with a textile design CAD system. In this study, several weave structures (such as fancy yarn weave and patterns) were prepared with a shuttle loom. The woven textile images were taken using a CCD camera. The same weave structure data and yarn data were fed into a textile design CAD system in order to simulate fabric images as similarly as possible. Similarity Index analysis methods allowed for an analysis of the index between the actual fabric specimen and the simulated image of the corresponding fabric. The results showed that repeated small pattern weaves provide superior similarity index values than those of a fancy yarn weave that indicate some irregularities due to fancy yarn attributes. A Complex Wavelet Structural Similarity(CW-SSIM) index resulted in a better index than other methods such as Multi-Scale(MS) SSIM, and Feature Similarity(FS) SSIM, across fabric specimen images. A correlation analysis of the similarity index based on an image analysis and a similarity evaluation by panel members was also implemented.

Host LCD는 NTSC(National Television System Committee), PAL(Phase Alternation Line), SECAM(S$\acute{e}$quentiel couleur avec m$\acute{e}$moire) 신호를 받아 영상 및 음성을 데코딩하여 출력한다. 이 데코딩된 신호들을 LVDS(Low Voltage Differential Signaling) 신호로 변환하여 slave LCD단으로 전송을 하는 기능을 갖는다.

  • The purpose of this research is to examine the specificity of grids to define the characteristics of clothes styles in the Joseon Dynasty period. The significance of examining of the specificity of grids is to find out arbitrary types of the features of grids involved in structuring the Jeogori in the Joseon Dynasty period one by one. The Visual Linguistic Theory was introduced as a methodological tool to exquisitely analyze the characteristics of grids in deep structures of Jeogori in the Joseon Dynasty period. This theory strives to examine sample distribution, the distribution of samples by quality and the distribution of the types of ploidy features. Through the examination, the results are as follows. The grid systems of the Jeogori consisted of diverse proportion systems reaching 86 cases, that is, sequence systems composed of multi-functional, multi-combined bodies. Most ornamental grids had feature angles distributed in a range of $2-20^{\circ}$ that showed a common preference for low sloped diagonal lines or small curvature. Although the preference for certain feature angles were prominent, the feature angles that were used were generally distributed evenly among diverse feature angles to show the characteristics of separation. Therefore, Jeogori makers in the Joseon Dynasty period can be considered as having experimented with many proportion systems to show their aesthetics. In conclusion, based on the results of the examination of feature distributions and related methods to allocate ploidy features, O-type accounted for 66% and thus it was identified that the Jeogori was characterized by O-type. Therefore, it was identified that the characteristic of the Jeogori in the Joseon Dynasty period consisted of O-type fractal structures which are formative structures unique to our nation.

  • Laser-Induced Thermal Imaging (LITI) is a laser addressed patterning process and has unique advantages such as high-resolution patterning with over all position accuracy of the imaged stripes of within 2.5 micrometer and scalability to large-size mother glass. This accuracy is accomplished by real-time error correction and a high-resolution stage control system that includes laser interferometers. Here the new concept of hybrid system that complement the merits of small molecule and polymer to be used as an OLED; our system can realize easy processing of light emitting polymers and high luminance efficiency of small molecules. LITI process enables the stripes to be patlerned with excellent thickness uniformity and multi-stacking of various functional layers without having to use any type of fine metal shadow mask. In this study, we report a full-color hybrid OLED using the multi-layered structure consisting of small molecules and polymers.

  • Herein, we report on the co-firing of a low-K wiring substrate and a middle-K functional substrate in LTCC. Firstly, we researched the sintering behavior and dielectric properties of the low-k wiring substrate comprised by alumina and glass frit with ${\varepsilon}_r$, of $\sim7$ and the middle-k functional substrate comprised by $Ba_{5}Nb_{4}O_{15}$ and glass frit with ${\varepsilon}_r$, of $20\sim30$. The warpage and delamination between the hetero layers of the low-K and the middle-K composition were also studied. In particular, physical matching of the hetero layers could be possible by adjusting of the sintering properties of the composition. We observed that an introduction of the glass frit to the low- and middle-K substrate gives rise to a minimization of an effect given by separation of the hetero layers, and modification of the fraction of the glass frit accompanied by a variation of the composition could control the sintering behavior and its beginning temperature. In the case of co-firing of the L03 as the low-K wiring substrate composition and the M03 as the middle-K functional substrate composition at $875^{\circ}C$, we could fabricate a desirable structure of hetero layers without any kinds of structural defects such as separation, warpage, delamination, pore trap, etc. We suppose that the co-firing techniques described in this study would provide a helpful method to fabricate a LTCC multi-functional for the next generation.
