실내용 서비스 로봇을 위한 거리 센서 기반의 통합 자율 주행 시스템 개발 (Development of Range Sensor Based Integrated Navigation System for Indoor Service Robots)

  • This paper introduces the development of a range sensor based integrated navigation system for a multi-functional indoor service robot, called PSR (Public Service Robot System). The proposed navigation system includes hardware integration for sensors and actuators, the development of crucial navigation algorithms like mapping, localization, and path planning, and planning scheme such as error/fault handling. Major advantages of the proposed system are as follows: 1) A range sensor based generalized navigation system. 2) No need for the modification of environments. 3) Intelligent navigation-related components. 4) Framework supporting the selection of multiple behaviors and error/fault handling schemes. Experimental results are presented in order to show the feasibility of the proposed navigation system. The result of this research has been successfully applied to our three service robots in a variety of task domains including a delivery, a patrol, a guide, and a floor cleaning task.

  • Voltage sag phenomenon is known as one of the important problems that brought huge economic losses in the modern industry. The voltage sag assessment is to predict an annual expected sag frequency (ESF) at concerned consumers caused by fault in the system. An area of severity (AOS) assessment is defined as a set of the fault positions that can result in the voltage sag bigger than certain level for multi-concerned buses simultaneously. This paper introduces how to determine a method for evaluating the voltage sag performance based on the AOS assessment.

Effect of soil-structure interaction for a building isolated with FPS

  • The effect of soil structure interaction (SSI) on seismic response of a multi-degree-of-freedom structure isolated with a friction pendulum system (FPS) is studied. In the analysis, the soil is considered as an elastic continuum and is modeled using the finite element method. The effect of SSI on response of the structure is evaluated for twenty far-field and twenty near-fault earthquake ground motions. The effect of friction coefficient of sliding material of FPS on SSI is also studied. The results of the study show that the seismic response of the structure increases for majority of the earthquake ground motions due to SSI. The sliding displacement and base shear are underestimated if SSI effects are ignored in the seismic analysis of structures isolated with FPS.

  • 두루미-II는 다목적 Test bed 항공기로서 개발되었으며, 일반적인 항공기의 비행동역학을 만족한다. 두루미-II의 비행시험 자료를 획득하기 위한 시스템이 탑재되어 있으며, 자동비행이 가능하도록 설계되었다. 본 연구에서는 두루미-II 조종시스템의 작동 순서를 설명한다. 분할된 조종면과 비행시험을 위해 요구되는 프로그램을 설명한다. 또한, 새로운 방법을 통한 정확한 조종입력을 인가하는 방법을 설명한다. 새로운 조종입력을 통한 비행시험 결과를 해석한다.

  • This Paper presents a high impedance fault (HIF) detection algorithm of distribution systems using wavelet transform. Two HIFs on dry soil and sandy soil were simulated on various load conditions in 22.9 kV distribution systems using EMTP, and the current wavelets were decomposed by wavelet transform. The current root mean square(rms) change, the index change rate and the relative amplitude change were used as the multi-criteria for a HIF detection. The index change rate and the relative amplitude were made using the wavelet coefficients.

  • In this paper, we propose the test pattern generation algorithm of the embedded faulty MUX for the prevention of misdiagnosis of digital systems. When the system is partitioned with a large number of functional blocks, if the faults are exsisted in a embedded MUX then it can not diagnose the wanted observation of functional block. The proposed test pattern generstion algorithm can apply the MUXs that designd 2-level and multi-level both. Fault coverage becomes 100% and so it is no necessary of the additional fault simulation and the proposed algorithm that have the regulary and easily generated 2d test patterns. And we confirmed that the reduction of test cost becomes 85%, compared with the conventional segmentation testing scheme.

Novel Techniques for Real Time Computing Critical Clearing Time SIME-B and CCS-B

  • Real time transient stability assessment mainly depends on real-time prediction. Unfortunately, conventional techniques based on offline analysis are too slow and unreliable in complex power systems. Hence, fast and reliable stability prediction methods and simple stability criterions must be developed for real time purposes. In this paper, two new methods for real time determining critical clearing time based on clustering identification are proposed. This article is covering three main sections: (i) clustering generators and recognizing critical group; (ii) replacing the multi-machine system by a two-machine dynamic equivalent and eventually, to a one-machine-infinite-bus system; (iii) presenting a new method to predict post-fault trajectory and two simple algorithms for calculating critical clearing time, respectively established upon two different transient stability criterions. The performance is expected to figure out critical clearing time within 100ms-150ms and with an acceptable accuracy.

  • The most important thing to secure safety and reliability of railway vehicles is to verify performance characteristics of equipments, and related companies or research institutes had many efforts to verify performances and functions of equipments synthetically and efficiently. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute). An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipment such as transformers and converter are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of KHST. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, fault diagnosis and performance evaluation of electric equipment in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

  • In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the FDRA(Fault Detection Recovery based on Agent) running on distributed multimedia environment. DOORAE is a good example for distributed multimedia and multimedia distance education system among students and teachers during lecture. It has primitive service agents. Service functions are implemented with objected oriented concept. FDRA is a multi-agent system. It has been environment, intelligent agents interact with each other, either collaboratively or non-collaboratively, to achieve their goals. The main idea is to detect an error by using polling method. This system detects an error by polling periodically the process with relation to session. And, it is to classify the type of error s automatically by using learning rules. The merit of this system is to use the same method to recovery it as it creates a session. FDRA is a system that is able to detect an error, to classify an error type, and to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia environment.

무선 신체 망에서 세미-마르코프 모델을 이용한 다중 오류에 대한 모델링 및 분석 (Modeling and Analysis of Multi-type Failures in Wireless Body Area Networks with Semi-Markov Model)

  • 무선 신체망 (WBAN: Wireless Body Area Network)은 생체 신호를 검출하고 전송하기 때문에 인간의 생명과 직결되어 있다 그러므로 무선 신체망은 다른 망과 비교해 망의 신뢰성이 극도로 높아야 하기 때문에 이 신뢰성과 관련된 연구가 매우 중요한 분야로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다중 오류 (multi-type failures) 가 발생한 무선 신체 망에서 노드의 오동작들에 대해 분석하고 오동작 분석에 대한 새로운 모델을 제시한다. 오동작 모델링을 위해, 각 노드들을 라우팅 기능의 유무에 따라 분류하고, 노드의 에너지가 완전 소비되었거나 노드가 악의적인 공격에 의해 오류가 발생되었을 경우 각 노드들의 동작을 세미 마르코프 프로세스 (Semi-Markov Process)를 이용하여 모델링하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 모델은 다중 오류 (multi-type failures) 환경에서 무선신체망의 신뢰성 분석에 매우 유용하다.
