  • This paper suggests design and implementation of moving objects management system using GML which is the XML encoding standard of geographic data. The proposed system integrates spatial data and moving objects data, utilizing the concept of Web Feature Services. While integrating data, standard data model and interfaces, proposed by OGC, are used. Since GML is standard for storing and transferring spatial/non-spatial data, interoperability and extendibility can be obtained. A Study On Web Contents Accessibility of Hospital Web Sites in Korea (국내 의료기관의 규모별 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 현황에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we investigated web contents accessibility of 60 hospital web sites in Korea. The eight evaluation criteria were used for estimating the web contents accessibility of the web sites. These criteria were as follows: providing an alternative text, providing caption for moving picture, providing a skip navigation, usage of pop-up windows, usage of a summary or a caption tag for data table, providing a page title, providing a label for online form, and usage of java scripts. K-WAH 3.0 was used for estimating five evaluation criteria. According to Internet web contents accessibility guideline 1.0, we estimated the rest three evaluation criteria manually and described good or bad examples for the evaluation results technically. The results show that the web accessibility of hospital web sites is generally insufficient and the constant interests in improvement for accessibility are urgently needed.

  • This paper presents the evaluation of PID and fuzzy control logic for the lateral position control of a moving web in roll-to-roll (R2R) printed electronics. In addition, we report the implementation of computer simulation software that enables us to develop the control logic in a graphic user interface and to test the controller performance in 3D dynamic environment. A mathematical model of the web dynamics is described first to explain the lateral motion of a moving web. Based on the model, PID and fuzzy controllers are designed, and embedded in the simulation software. Under the simulation conditions for fabricating RFID antenna by R2R printing, the results indicate that the fuzzy controller shows a better performance and can be more suitable for R2R multi-layer printed electronics.

An Empirical Study on the Factors Affecting the Intention to Use M2E Services

  • Recently, Web 3.0 services such as virtual currency, block chain, and NFT are attracting public attention. Users who depended on platforms are moving away from being dependent on service providers and moving to Web 3.0 services. Representative services of Web 3.0 include P2E (Play to Earn) and M2E (Move to Earn). In the case of P2E, various studies have been conducted as it is widely covered in the press and media, but research on M2E is relatively lacking. This study attempts to identify the intention to use M2E by using the expanded technology acceptance model. External factors were selected based on M2E's own characteristics and personal characteristics, a research model was designed, and the proposed hypotheses were verified through factor analysis and goodness of model fit. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that profitability, innovativeness, and self-expression had a positive effect on perceived characteristics, and that perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and social influence had a positive effect on intention to use. Through the research results, practical implications for efficient service operation that meets the needs of users are presented to M2E platform providers.

  • In this paper, we implemented a web-based communication system using Motion JPEG and RTP. MJPEG compression method is used for compression of the image in order to film and transmit the moving image information in the real time, and the RTP(Real-Time Transport Protocol) which differs from the existing TCP and UDP is used for the data transmission.

  • In this paper, we have designed and implemented lamp control system in underground parking place using WWW. The proposed system consists of lamp control system which is connected by RS-485 communication bus and monitoring system (WebPL) which can provide web interface using the web server. The lamp control system is controlled through a user command within the monitoring system (WebPL), senses moving object and turns lamps in underground parking place on or off. The monitoring system displays the status values of on or off received from lamp control system on the web browser and can real-timely control lamps in underground parking place on the web browser.

  • The aim of this research was performance of Web-based real time DGPS using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control. This system supported the navigation of rover by transmitting the DGPS correction information of base station via internet and monitored the moving of rover by displaying the corrected results received from rover as well as permitting Web users monitoring for rover. The Web-based DGPS server and the client system using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control for DGPS displayed on Web-browser with the pre analysis was constructed and the system loading test via Web-browser was performed after debugging this system through the static GPS test and publishing it on Web. Also, the wireless internet DGPS test on Web by changing the distance between a base station and a rover was carried out. As the result of the test, the real time DGPS could be performed by transmitting the correction message which calculated from the server system to the client system continually. The rover could be managed by displaying the location information which received from the client system. Other users also could monitor the rover by connecting with this system via internet in real time.

Moving Object Following by a Mobile Robot using a Single Curvature Trajectory and Kalman Filters (단일곡률궤적과 칼만필터를 이용한 이동로봇의 동적물체 추종)

  • Path planning of mobile robots has a purpose to design an optimal path from an initial position to a target point. Minimum driving time, minimum driving distance and minimum driving error might be considered in choosing the optimal path and are correlated to each other. In this paper, an efficient driving trajectory is planned in a real situation where a mobile robot follows a moving object. Position and distance of the moving object are obtained using a web camera, and the rotation angular and linear velocities are estimated using Kalman filters to predict the trajectory of the moving object. Finally, the mobile robot follows the moving object using a single curvature trajectory by estimating the trajectory of the moving object. Using the estimation by Kalman filters and the single curvature in the trajectory planning, the total tracking distance and time saved amounts to about 7%. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been verified through real tracking experiments.

  • In this paper, we propose a web GPS based logistics vehicle control management system using MVC design patterns. The proposed system is designed by applying design patterns of object oriented modeling called mini-architecture to enhance reliability of software as well as promote stability of overall system design. In addition, we can get a position information by means of the GPS embedded in PDA and communicate between client and monitoring server using CDMA network so that the position of client can be identified directly by the map service. The system provides an moving object indexing technique which extends the existing TB-tree to manage and retrieve a transporting trajectory of logistics efficiently. Finally, with development of the logistics vehicle control service called WG-LOGICS system, we can verify the usefulness of our system which is able for monitoring a vehicle preparation, allocating registration, loading a burden, transfer path, and destination arrival in real world.

A Service-Oriented Architecture for Computational Creativity

  • Creativity is a long cherished and widely studied aspect of human behavior that allows us to re-invent the familiar, and to imagine the new. Computational creativity (CC) is a newly burgeoning area of creativity research that brings together academics and practitioners from diverse disciplines, genres and modalities, to explore the potential of computers to be autonomously creative, or to collaborate as co-creators with people. We describe here an architecture for creative Web services that will act as a force magnifier for CC, both for academic research, and for the effective deployment of real CC applications in industry. For researchers, this service-oriented architecture supports the pooling of technologies in a robust interoperable framework, in which CC models are conceived, developed and migrated from lab settings to an industrial strength platform. Industry developers, for their part, will be able to exploit novel results of CC research in a robust, low-risk form, without having to re-implement algorithms from a quickly moving field. We illustrate the architecture with the first of a growing set of creative Web services that provide robust figurative language processing on demand.
