크레인 안전선 접근 이동 물체 감시 시스템 (Crane Monitoring System for Moving Objects in Safety Lines)

  • 산업 현장의 시설물들이 최근 들어 대형화, 고속화되면서 이들을 이동시키는 크레인의 안전운전은 더욱 중요성을 가지게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 카메라 영상을 이용하여 크레인 안전선 내 움직이는 물체를 감지하는 시스템을 구성하였다. 이 시스템은 별도의 장비가 필요 없이 노트북 컴퓨터와 웹켐만으로도 구현이 가능하여 저렴한 비용으로 실시간 적용이 가능하다. 움직이는 물체를 감시하고 검출하는 알고리듬은 차분영상과 영상 미분 히스토그램을 적용하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 조명과 날씨 등의 주변 환경 변화에 강인하도록 시스템을 구축하였다. 시스템의 성능과 정확도를 향상하기 위하여 크레인 영상 프레임의 안전선 내 상황만을 고려하고 그림자 제거 알고리듬을 사용하였다. 또한 본 시스템은 산업현장에 접목이 용이하여 실용적인 측면에서의 가치가 높다.

GMTI 시스템 개발을 위한 CFAR 임계치 최적화 (Demonstration of Optimizing the CFAR Threshold for Development of GMTI System)

  • The Ground Moving Target Indication(GMTI) technique can detect the moving targets on land using its Doppler returns. Also, the GMTI system can work in night regardless of the weather condition because it is an active sensor that uses the electromagnetic waves as its source. In order to develop the GMTI system, Constant False Alarm Rate(CFAR) threshold optimization is important because the main performances like detection probability, false alarm rate and Minimum Detectable Velocity(MDV) are related deeply with CFAR threshold. These key variables are used to calculate CFAR threshold and then trade-off between the variables is performed. In this paper, CFAR threshold optimization procedures are introduced, and the optimization results are demonstrated.

Near-ground boundary layer wind characteristics analysis of Typhoon "Bailu" based on field measurements

  • In this paper, detailed wind field data of the full path of typhoon "Bailu" were obtained based on site measurements. Typhoon "Bailu" made first landfall southeast of the Taiwan Strait with a wind speed of approximately 30 m/s near the center of the typhoon eye and a second landfall in Dongshang County in Fujian Province. The moving process is classified into 3 regions for analysis and comparison. Detailed analyses of wind characteristics including wind profile, turbulence intensity, gust factor, turbulence integral scale and wind power spectral density function at the full process of the typhoon are conducted, and the findings are presented in this paper. Wind speed shows significant dependence on both the direction of the moving path and the distance between the typhoon center and measurement site. Wind characteristics significantly vary with the moving path of the typhoon center. The relationship between turbulence intensity and gust factor at different regions is investigated. The integral turbulence scales and wind speed are fitted by a Gaussian model. Such analysis and conclusions may provide guidance for future bridge wind-resistant design in engineering applications.

트랙 좌표계를 이용한 철도차량 운동 해석 (Dynamic analysis of railway vehicle by using track coordinates)

  • 일반적인 강체의 동역학 해석방법은 지면에 고정된 좌표계에서 강체의 절대적 병진 위치좌표와 회전 각도 좌표의 6개 좌표계를 이용하여 기술된다. 그러나 철도차량의 경우 트랙의 중심과 같이 이동하는 트랙 좌표계에서 강체의 운동을 기술하는 방법이 이용될 수 있다. 트랙 좌표계는 트랙을 기준으로 강체의 운동이 기술되므로 트랙 좌표의 변위의 구속조건이 쉽게 설정될 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 트랙 좌표계를 이용한 철도차량 운동방정식의 유도 방법과 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

Dynamic Trajectory Control of a Biped Robot with Curved Soles

  • This paper proposes a desired trajectory and a control algorithm for a biped robot with curved soles. Firstly, we derived the desired trajectory from a model called the Moving Inverted Pendulum Mode (MIPM) of which a contact point of the foot is moving in the horizontal direction. A biped robot with curved soles is under-actuated system, because it has one contact point with the ground during the single supporting phase. Therefore, to solve the under-actuated problem, we changed control variables, used modified dynamic equations and used the computed torque control. The simulation results show that a biped robot with curved soles walks stably. Also, fast walking and natural motion of a biped robot can be implemented.

  • 본 논문은 실용화 레벨에서의 디지털 영상기록 (Digital Video Recording: DVR) 구현을 기술한다. 또한 입력 영상을 배경과 목표물 영역의 두 가지 영역으로 분리 처리하여 분리된 영역별로 중요도를 고려하여 서로 다른 압축 기법을 적용함으로써 효율적인 압축부호화를 수행할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘은 영상 압축 부호화 기법으로서 영역분할을 통해 Macro block 단위로 물체 영역과 배경 영역을 재구성해서 부호화에 이용하는 방식이다. 제안된 알고리즘은 매우 효율적인 압축 성능을 보여주며, 저 전송률 상황에서도 높은 질의 영상을 복원할 수 있다.

Robust Adaptive Control of A HexaSlide Type Parallel Manipulator

  • Jeha Ryu Department of Mechatronics, Kwangju Institute of Science and Technology This paper presents an application of a robust adaptive control strategy to HexaSlide type six degrees-of-freedom parallel manipulators. The HexaSlide type parallel manipulators are characterized as an architecture with constant link lengths that are attached to moving sliders on the ground and to a mobile platform. The proposed control law is developed based on a simplified second order system dynamic equation in joint space with uncertain mass, damper, spring, and Coulomb friction terms. These uncertain parameters are updated by an adaptation law that is derived by Lyapunov stability theorem. A robust adaptive control law by using the boundary layer is designed for the purpose of compensating for the neglected dynamic effects of the mobile platform and the six moving links that are modeled as a disturbance term. Experimental results show good and fast tracking performance.

  • An advanced computational strategy for improvement of the accuracy of the structural analysis is developed in this paper. The finite elements connecting the primary nodes are constructed as a ground mesh in a domain, and the secondary nodes can be placed arbitrarily without reconstruction of a mesh. The support domains of the secondary nodes are defined on the basis of finite element mesh, and the shape functions are constructed by using MLS(moving least square) approximations. The present method is useful for controlling the errors without reconstruction of mesh when you add or remove nodes in a domain.

  • The potential use of ranging sensors for reducing the occurrence of accidents in real environment is explored by many companies and laboratories. Most of the sensors under investigation utilize the FMCW(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) waveforms. The automotive environment presents to the FMCW radar sensor a multitude of moving and fixed targets and the sensor must detect and track only the targets which may pose a threat of collision or passengers accident. The sensor must function accurately in the presence of background echoes generated by moving and fixed targets, ground reflections, atmospheric noises, including rains, fog, and, snow and noise generated within the receiver. False detection of the desired target in this environment may issue false alarms. That may be dangerous to the passenger and the vehicle. A high false alarm rate is totally unacceptable. The false alarm mechanism consists of noise peaks, crossing the threshold and the undesired response of the system to off lane targets which are not potentially hazardous to the radar equipped vehicle. This paper presents an improve technique safety performance for driver-less operation using FMCW radar sensors.

표적추적센서의 측정 바이어스 오차 보상에 의한 사격통제장치 성능 향상 기법 (A performance improvement method in the gun fire control system compensating for measurement bias error of the target tracking sensor)

  • A practical method is proposed to improve hit probability of the digital gun fire control system, when the measured rate of the tracking sensor becomes biased under some operational situation. For ground moving target it is shown that the well-known Kalman filter which uses position measurement only can be optimally used to eliminate the rate bias error. On the other hand, for 3D moving aircraft we present a new algorithm which incorporate FIR-type filter, which uses position and rate measurement at the same time, and the fixed-lag smoother using position measurement only, and show that it has the optimal performance in terms of both estimation accuracy and response time.
