본 논문은 이탈리아 출신의 영화음악가 엔니오 모리코네(Ennio Morricone)의 '시네마천국(Cinema Paradiso)'에 사용된 영화음악을 아론 코플랜드(Aron Copland)가 제시한 다섯 가지의 기능론과 현대의 대표적 영화음악의 기능 두 가지를 중심으로 분석한 논문이다. 영화 장면에 따른 각각의 테마음악을 변주시키는 변주법과 기능론을 제시함으로써 영화음악을 전공하는 학생들에게 음악의 테마 변주 테크닉과 장면에 따른 기능론을 습득시키기는데 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. 엔니오 모리코네는 1960년대 <황야의 무법자>등의 서부영화에서 탁월한 능력을 보이고 1980년대에 들어 <미션(Mission)>, <시네마 천국(Cinema Paradiso)>등에서 전성기를 맞았다고 평가되어진다. 또한 그의 작품들은 테마음악의 변주를 통하여 주인공 인물의 내적 표현과 장면의 효과를 극대화시키는 등 영화음악의 기능론을 다루기에 매우 효과적이다. 특히 '시네마 천국'에서는 테마음악의 다양한 변주를 통하여 영화의 일관성과 다양성을 동시에 추구하였다. 그리고 특정한 분위기를 강조하여 장면의 연속성과 영화의 진행감을 주고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 엔니오 모리코네의 '시네마 천국'의 음악을 연구 분석하여 영화음악의 테마 변주법 연구에 의미를 두고자 한다.

영화는 시청각 예술이고 다양한 시청각적 기법을 활용하여 이야기를 전달한다. 청각적 요소 중 음악은 표현할 수 있는 기법이 매우 다양하고 활용범 위가 넓으며 이야기를 전달하기 위한 독자적인 도구로 사용되기도 한다. 본 연구는 영화 "펀치 드렁크 러브"를 연구대상으로 삼아 영화에서 인물의 심리를 나타내기 위한 음악적 표현기법을 고찰한다. 인물의 내부 심리와 상황의 숨겨진 의미를 창출하기 위한 도구, 즉 영화 이야기 흐름에서 화면에 나타나지 않는 의미를 드러내기 위해 사용된 음악의 활용에 관해 연구한다. 이는 영화음악에서 인물 심리의 대조와 상징적인 표현에 대한 예시와 관점을 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 내용 기반 음악 정보 검색에 MPEG-7에 정의된 오디오 서술자를 적용하는 방법을 제안한다. 특히 Pitch 정보와 timbral 특징들은 음색 구분을 용이하게 할 수 있어 음악 검색뿐만 아니라 음악 장르 분류 또는 QBH(Query By Humming)에 이용 될 수 있다. 이러한 방법을 통하여 오디오 신호의 대표적인 특성을 표현 할 수 있는 특징벡터를 구성 할 수 있다면 추후에 멀티모달 시스템을 이용한 검색 알고리즘에도 오디오 특징으로 이용 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 방송 시스템에 적용하기 위해 영화나 드라마의 배경음악에 해당하는 O.S.T 앨범으로 검색 범위를 제한하였다. 즉, 사용자가 임의로 검색을 요청한 시점에서 비디오 컨텐츠로부터 추출한 임의의 오디오 클립만을 이용하여 그 컨텐츠 전체의 O.S.T 앨범 내에서 음악을 검색할 수 있도록 하였다. 오디오 특징 백터를 구성하기 위해 필요한 MPEG-7 오디오 서술자의 조합 방법을 제안하고 distance 또는 ratio 계산 방식을 통해 성능 향상을 추구하였다. 또한 reference 음악의 템플릿 구성 방식의 변화를 통해 성능 향상을 추구하였다. Classifier로 k-NN 방식을 사용하여 성능평가를 수행한 결과 timbral spectral feature 보다는 pitch 정보를 이용한 특징이 우수한 성능을 보였고 vector distance 방식으로는 특징들의 비율을 이용한 IFCR(Intra-Feature Component Ratio) 방식이 ED(Euclidean Distance) 방식보다 우수한 성능을 보였다.

This research investigated the relative influence of culture contents from Korea, China, and Japan published in the internet version of local newspapers for Malaysia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Spain (from January 2010 to December 2014) and from Singapore (January 2012 to December 2014) using content analysis focused on the frequency distribution of newspaper content. 'Food' showed the highest appearance frequency of the 11 culture contents investigated in the study. Among the articles related to Korea, 'Pop Music' showed the highest frequency for Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and Spain and 'Star' showed the highest frequency for Singapore and Mongolia. Among the Hallyu related contents, 'Pop Music' showed the highest frequency followed by 'Star', 'Movie', and 'Drama'. Articles related to Korea showed a significantly higher frequency than articles related to China and Japan in 'Pop Music' and 'Star' categories. Spain showed articles related to Korea only in the 'Pop Music' category.

인터넷과 컴퓨터의 성능이 향상됨에 따라 수 초 내에 영화 한 편을 내려 받을 수 있을 정도로 발전했다. 이에 따라 편의성을 이유로 합법적으로 비용을 지불하지 않고 영상 컨텐츠를 불법으로 다운로드 받아 감상하는 이용자들이 늘어가고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 국내외 적으로 저작권법을 강화 또는 개정하여 불법복제물을 상습적으로 게시하거나 복제하는 행위에 대해 강력한 법적 제재를 시행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 네티즌들이 영상 컨텐츠의 불법 공유에 대해 과연 어떤 수준의 의식을 가지고 있는지에 대해 탐구하였다. 컴퓨터 소프트웨어 및 음악에 대한 불법복제에 관한 연구 및 논의는 활발하게 이루어졌고 불법 복제 완화에 대한 거의 완벽한 해법이 이미 나와 있으나 영화를 비롯한 영상 컨텐츠에 대한 불법복제 의식에 대한 연구는 수행되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 가장 정평이 나있는 온라인 조사 사이트 월드 서베이를 통해 사용자의 영상 컨텐츠 불법복제에 관한 의식 조사를 시행했다. 응답 결과에서 열 명 중 아홉 명이 영상 컨텐츠를 불법 복제하여 사용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 놀라운 사실은 그와 같은 수준인 95%의 응답자가 불법복제는 위법이라고 생각하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Recommendation system is one way of implementing personalized service. The collaborative filtering is one of the major techniques that have been employed for recommendation systems. It has proven its effectiveness in the recommendation systems for such domain as motion picture or music. However, it has some limitations, i.e., sparsity and scalability. In this research, as one way of overcoming such limitations, we proposed the stepwise collaborative filtering method. To show the practicality of our proposed method, we designed and implemented a movie recommendation system which we shall call Step_CF, and its performance was evaluated using MovieLens data. The performance of Step_CF was better than that of Basic_CF that was implemented using the original collaborative filtering method.

With the rapid development of digital technology, the satellite DMB service is able to provide chance to watch on TV, movie and listen on the Radio to their subscriber with moving. From the mid 2005, Korean people can get the satellite DMB service which includes In many kinds of new telecommunication services such as watching on tv, movie, and listening the music on service charge. The objective of this study is to grasp the factors which affecting the use satellite DMB service on the consumers who pay service charge, and to make an analysis on the structure relationship between such factors with consumer satisfaction and consumer royalty.

In this study, we are going to discuss the role of sound, which exists as the background of a movie scene, and the relationship between seeing and hearing. In order to analyze the form in which the scene and sound are matched, the visual content of the image must be analyzed first. In this study, we analyzed Stanley Kubrick's film . Generally, there are both visual and auditory features in the scene of the movie. In some cases, the sound is emphasized more than the scene, and the scene is emphasized more than the sound. In particular, the sound in movies enables a wider imagination and a three-dimensional experience. Images and sounds will have different meanings and effects depending on the purpose of use. By analyzing the correlation between visual scene and auditory sound based on the role sound plays in the film in this study, we would like to confirm that sound is one essential element that has the role of equivalent and independent expression, not the role of assisting images.

The cinema circuit is facing a digital, network, and mobile age, which expands non-theater accessibility to movies. Application platforms are situated as the most competitive business model that provide digital content such as games, music, books, and movies. Consumers can acquire content-related information not just offline, but online as well. Therefore, item information provided by application platforms is required. The information provided by application platforms consists of richly descriptive information such as storyline summary, consumer reviews, and related articles, while non-descriptive normative information covers data such as sales ranking, release date, genre, rental or purchase cost, domestic/foreign classification, consumer rating, number of consumer ratings, film rating, and so on. In this study, we surveyed and analyzed statistically the correlation between real-time sales ranking and other comparable non-descriptive information.

영화에서의 음악의 역할은 중요하다. 영화에서의 내러티브(줄거리)를 전개, 암시해주며, 관객들로 하여금 영화에 더욱 몰입할 수 있도록 감성을 유도한다. 영화음악을 작곡하는데 있어서 선율, 박자, 화성의 연관성을 중요하게 생각하기도 하지만, 특히 서스펜스, 미스터리 스릴러에서의 긴장감을 위한 영화음악은 특정 악기의 음향적 음색 표현으로 영화를 극대화시키는 연출이 가능하다.
