We consider a deformation method suitable for fractal. In IFS fractal, the position of a point is characterized by its code as well as by its coordinates. Code has a meaning of address for fractal. If we move a point by changing its code, the resulting movement shows fractal behavior. We propose three deformation methods based on code information. For the deformation vector of a point in fractal, 1) we use the vector of a given vector field at the point obtained by code transformation, 2) we use the vector constructed by adding predefined displacement vectors according to the code information of the point. Both methods show a fractal-like character as well as an ordinary continuous deformation character. Also, 3) we can deform fern-fractal more naturally by restricting its deforming region using code form.

In the present the usage of bicycle has increased steeply due to well-being and convenient way of movement. In car to bicycle accident, the throw distance of bicycle is very important factor for estimating collision situation. In this study, simulations and collision tests in actual car to bicycle were executed for obtaining throw distance of bicycle. The simulations were executed by PC-CRASHTM s/w with vehicle of sedan type. Sand bags were used for the behavior of bicyclist instead of dummy and factors considered were vehicle velocity, the crashed angles and part of bicycle to vehicle, and bicycle was adult type. From the results, the throw distances of tire collision of 00 was longer than that of 450 tire crash, and the throw distances of 900 frame crash were longer than those of 450 frame crash. With based on actual crash tests and simulations, restitution coefficient of between vehicle and bicycle was estimated as 0.1. Finally the increaser vehicle velocity the longer the throw distances of bicycle and the simulation results were relatively good agreement to the results of experiment.

The 250ppm hydrogen-charged Zircaloy-4 sheets, homogenized at $400^{\circ}C$ for 72hrs in vacuum, were corroded under the autoclave conditions of $350^{\circ}C$, 2350psi. The corrosion behavior of the Zircaloy-4 sheets was evaluated by measuring their weight gains with the exposure time. The electrical characteristics were investigated in the ranges of 5000~1x10\ulcornerHz using AC impedance technique in 1N $H_2$$SO_4$aqueous solution. The corrosion rate of the hydrogen charged specimen was more rapid than the normal specimen at the early stage of the corrosion. With a longer corrosion time, however, the normal specimen corroded faster than the hydrogen-charged specimen. At the same time the hydrogen pickup in the hydrogen-charged specimen was more suppressed compared with the normal specimen. Such appears to be occurred because the impedance for the movement of the hydrogen ion into the metal was higher in the hydrogen-charged specimen compared to normal specimen at the interface between the oxide layer and the uncorroded metal. Thus the corrosion rate of the hydrogen-charged specimen was likely to be decreased with a longer corrosion time.

The goal of this study is to develop a biomarker used in monitoring abnormal behaviors of Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) as a model organism caused by hazardous chemicals. Japanese medaka was treated by copper and fluoranthene of appropriate sublethal concentrations after starvation for 48 hr. In this study we investigated neural toxicity of copper and fluoranthene in Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) along with comparative analysis of corresponding behavioral responses. The untreated individuals showed common behavioral characteristics (i.e., smooth and linear movements). Locomotive activity of the fish was monitored using an image processing and automatic data acquisition system. When treated with copper (100 ppb), the fish showed shaking patterns more frequently. As the concentration of copper increased to 1,000 ppb, activity decreased, and the fish showed an erratic movement. The treated with fluoranthene, however, showed stopping and abrupt change of orientation (100 ppb), and severely reduced locomotive activity and enhanced surfacing activity (1,000 ppb).

Numerical modeling was conducted to estimate the amount of dislocation that may occur across a frictionless fracture during an earthquake using commercial code FLAC3D (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua in 3 Dimensions). The applied motion was calculated to represent a Richter 6.0 magnitude earthquake at distances of 2 km from the fracture. The velocity-time history was generated from Svensk $K{\ddot{a}}arnbr{\ddot{a}}anslehantering$ AB report. In the report, The velocity field resulting from an earthquake on a fault located in the near-field (2 km distance) was modelled using a finite difference program, WAVE. The stress-time history was substituted for velocity-time history to perform dynamic analysis using FLAC3D. During the earthquake, the maximum dislocation and change of shear stress were about 1 cm and 2MPa, respectively. Because the fracture is frictionless in this study, all dislocations relax to zero after the earthquake motions have ceased.

This paper purposes on stimulating the dynamic behavior of a floating structure model with the image processing and the close-range photogrammetry, instead of the contact sensors. Previously, the movement of structures was presented by the exterior orientation estimation from a single camera following the space resection. The inverse resection yields to 6 orientation parameters of the floating structure, with respect to the camera coordinates system. The single camera solution of interest in applications is characterized by the restriction in terms of costs, unfavorable observation conditions, or synchronization demands when using multiple cameras. This paper discusses the theoretical determinations of camera exterior orientation by using the least squares adjustment, applied of the values from the DLT (Direct Linear Transformation) and the photogrammetric resection. This proposed method is applied to monitor motions of a floating model. The results of 6DOF (Six Degrees of Freedom) from the inverse resection were signified that applying appropriate initial values from DLT in the least square adjustment is effective in obtaining precise exterior orientation parameters. Therefore, the proposed method can be concluded as an efficient solution to simulate movements of the floating structure.
This study was conducted to know degradation products of the synthetic pyrethroid insecticide bifenthrin under soil, aqueous solution and UV-light irradation, and know its movement by leaching in soil. The major degradation product of bifenthrin was identified with 2-methylbiphenyl -3-y1 methanol by HPLC, UV, Mass and NMR under soil, aqueous solution and UV-light irradiation, The main degradation route was hydrolysis of the ester linkage. On exposure to UV-light, bifenthrin was decomposed almost completely in concentrations of 10 and 100 ppm in 24 hr but decomposed about 80% in 1,000 ppm. Bifenthrin was immobile in soil column system and on soil thin-layer chromatography system. Mostly bifenthrin remained in the 0-2.0㎝ layer of soil column and soil TLC.
During a wearer's movement, the apparel fabric layers collide each other in a highly complicated manner. The collision involves cloth-cloth, and cloth-body collision. The diversity of the textile fabrics, including silk, wool, cotton, and other synthetic fibers, together with the complex details of the apparel construction, makes the collision and other calculation procedure involved in the 3-dimensional clothing software system much more complicated. Therefore, there is a need to measure the behavior of the fabrics during the fabric collision cycles. In this study, as a first step, static measurements pertinent to the factors governing the appearance of the apparel fabrics were implemented. The drape profile, stiffness(Sd and Sf), tensile properties, thickness, and the air permeability were measured. The correlation between the parameters were calculated and reviewed. It is found that there is a high correlation of 0.97 between the actual fabric drape parameters and the 3D virtual fabric drape parameters. The measured drape coefficients of the fabrics show relatively good correlation with the measured fabric stiffness.

In this paper, an analytical model is developed to describe the dynamic characteristics of a roller bearing. In order to obtain accurate dynamic response of roller bearing, each roller is modeled as a rigid body, which has radial and axial movement and rotational constraints. Beam element between outer race segments is used to consider flexibility of outer race. Beam deflection is calculated from beam forces and used for contact between roller and outer race. The efficient contact search kinematics and algorithms in the context of the compliance contact model are implemented to detect the interactions between roller and race for the sake of speedy and robust solutions. The numerical results are validated with another analysis results which are calculated using waviness condition. Increasing rollers, dynamic responses are compared with each other. In order to confirm dynamic behavior and nonlinear characteristic of roller bearing, Poincare map is used.

Ecological corridor is the facility to connect two habitats fragmented by roads, dam, housing and industrial area. Critics of faunal corridors have suggested that they are simply an untested application of unproved island biogeography theory. But, everyone agree that ecological corridor is important useful structural components that help animal movement in fragmented landscapes. There are 52 ecological corridors in Korea. We investigated 43 ecological corridors of these and recorded the size of corridor, planting species, management and growth condition. We compared planting species to nearby exiting vegetation species and structure. We found that there are no considerations for many aspects of planting, for example, planting species, structure, animal migration and behavior, surrounding vegetation etc. Expecially, It was ignored management of plants, difference of surrounding vegetation, lacks of diverse planting species and structure. We suggest planting the native species of tall tree, shrub and ground cover, edge planting for transitional space between road and natural habitat, planting for foraging and breeding of target animal, diverse layer vegetation, and open space of center for rapid animal dispersal.
