Improvement of Dynamic Characteristics of an Optical Image Stabilizer in a Compact Camera (초소형 카메라 흔들림 보정장치의 동특성 개선)

  • Optical image stabilization is a device to compensate the camera movement in the exposure time. The compensation is implemented by movable lens or image sensor that adjusts the optical path to the camera movement. Generally, the camera is moved by a handshake, thus the handshake is considered as an external disturbance. However, there are many other vibrations such as car and train vibration. In this paper, the optical image stabilization system in high frequency region is presented. Notch filter and lead compensator are designed and applied to improve the stability without changing the actuator. To verify the performance of the optical image stabilization system in high frequency region, the experiment equipment with moving object is established. It is confirmed that the opticalimage stabilization system does not diverge at the resonance frequency.

Study on Hydraulic Characteristis for Upstream Migration of Fish in a Pool-and-Weir Fishway (어족의 소상을 위한 계단식어도 수리특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, hydraulic characteristics for upstream migration of fish in a pool-and-weir fishway were analyzed through experiment. The results showed that streaming flow was preferable to plunging flow for upstream migration of fish and it was not good to make an orifice beneath the septum since it generates turbulent jet and eddies. Protrusions on the side wall of fishway were preferable to grooves since they decelerate flow velocity and make upstream migration easy. A vertically movable septum was necessary for a flushing of deposited bed material, and net installing over fishway was also needed for birds not to approach the fishway and eat fish.

A study of the round Variation Design Brassiere Pattern

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the applied brassiere pattern of women which are fitting for 75A. The constructing of this experimental brassiere were lower cup, upper cup, front panel and U-wing as well as a full cup embcing the entire breasts. Basing on the bra model from domestic experiment results, development of an applied design, round side type pattern, has been suggested. Thus, suggesting the round variation design bra, which is an applied design based on the basic model based on the breast volume. Based on the sizes that are in reference to Size Korea (2004) and related previous researches, the basic model that has been experimented with 11.4% polyurethane and 88.6% Nylon as the materials, has been selected as the model of research. This takes 75A, the size of which is set according to the underbust circumference and the breasts circumference, as the basic model. It is an application in terms of design, and there is no change to the cup volume or size because it has been moved only from the cutting line. The applied design changes the right side of the lower cup into an easily-movable form and attaches it to the upper cup, and the lower cup takes the right part of the upper cup to form a cup shape of round variation design. It also changes basic straight form of the wings, and alters them into U-shape.

Experimental Study on the Variation of Maneuvering Characteristics of Container Ship with Rudder Type (타의 종류에 따른 컨테이너선의 조종성능 특성 연구)

  • Generally Horn-type rudders have been used for single propeller and single rudder system. The reason is that the rudder torques of Horn-type rudder are smaller than those of Spade rudder with same lift force. But it is found that the rudder cavitation occurs on a Horn-type rudder of fast container ship. In this paper the comparison results of Horn-type and Spade rudders are described. HPMM tests are carried out to compare the effects of two rudder types on the maneuverability of a ship. It is shown that the maneuvering performance of a ship equipped with Horn-type rudder is better than that equipped with Spade rudder by comparing the test results and maneuvering coefficients at scantling condition. The reason is that the movable part area of Horn-type rudder is about 14% larger than that of Spade rudder with same total area. And the rudder torque of Spade rudder is greater than that of Horn rudder. At ballast condition, however, the effect of rudder type is negligible.

Hydraulic Characteristics in the Movable Venturi Flume with Circular Cone (원뿔형 벤츄리수로의 수리특성)

  • This study analyzed the hydraulic characteristics of a venturi flume with a circular cone using a 3-D numerical model which uses RANS(Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes Equation) as the governing equation. The venturi flume with the circular cone efficiently measures the discharge in the low-flow to high-flow range and offers the advantage of accurate discharge measurements in the case of a low flow. With no influence of the tail-water depth, the stage-discharge relationship and the flow behaviors were analyzed to verify the numerical simulation results. Additionally, this study reviewed the effect of the tail-water depth on the flow. The stage-discharge relationship resulting from a numerical simulation in the absence of an effect by the tail-water depth showed a maximum margin of error of 4 % in comparison to the result of a hydraulic experiment. The simulation results reproduced the overall flow behaviors observed in the hydraulic experiment well. The flow starts to become influenced by the tail-water depth when the ratio of the tail-water depth to the total head exceeds approximately 0.7. As the ratio increases, the effect on the flow tends to grow dramatically. As shown in this study, a numerical simulation is effective for identifying the stage-discharge relationship of a venturi flume with various types of venturi bodies, including a venturi flume with a circular cone.

Understanding on Characteristics of the Sand Bars' Movement in the Meandering Reaches by a Movable-Bed Experiment (이동상 수리모형실험을 통한 만곡부 모래사주의 거동특성 분석)

  • 최근 우리나라에서 하천 및 유역 환경의 급격한 변화로 인하여 하천 형태가 많이 변하고 있는 추세이다. 특히 사행하는 모래 하천에서 만곡부 사주의 형태 변화가 커지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이와 같은 모래 하천의 만곡부에서 사주의 변화 특성을 평가하고 그 원인을 파악하기 위하여 이동상 수리모형 실험을 실시하였다. 실험에서 하천 및 유역의 여러 상황 변화를 감안하여 유량, 유사 공급량, 공급 시간, 하천 변형 등 다양한 조건을 상정하였다. 연구 대상하천은 낙동강 본류이며, 중점 수리모형 실험대상 구간은 우리나라의 전통민속마을인 안동 하회마을을 태극형으로 감싸면서 사행하는 만곡부이다. 이동상 실험규모는 수평축적 1/110, 수직축적 1/50로 왜곡도가 2.2로써 비교적 대규모이다. 모형 하상재료는 입경 0.29 mm의 석탄분(anthracite)을 채택하였으며, 현장에서 하상재료조사와 상사해석을 통해 결정하였다. 실험 결과, 유량과 유사 공급량 변화에 따른 사주 변화가 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 유사 공급이 이루어지지 않을 때 국지적 퇴적양상을 보였다. 이는 사주 내 식생활착으로 이어지는 계기가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 설계홍수량 규모에서 구하도와 과거 사주가 재현되었는데, 이는 지역주민을 통해 입증되었다. 또한 천연기념물인 만송정 주변의 모래둔덕의 형성과정이 입증되었다.

  • 본 연구에서 이동상 모래하천에서 식생의 변화과정을 연구하였다. 연구 대상 하천은 낙동강 상류 하회지구를 대상으로 하였다. 이 지역은 우리나라에서 대표적인 모래하천으로서 지형적인 요인으로 형성된 사행하천의 만곡부에 해당하고 있다. 특히 상류에 댐과 취수보 등 수자원개발시설이 건설되면서 수십 년 동안 물과 유사의 공급이 조절되어 안동시권역에서부터 하류방향으로 향하면서 점차 바뀌어 가고 있는 실정이다. 이 가운데, 이동성을 지니고 있던 사주부에 식생이 유입되고, 식생역이 확장되면서 사주가 고정화되는 경향을 보이고 있다. 이러한 이동상 하도에서 이동사주내 식생역의 발달과정을 파악하기 위하여 사주내 토양의 물리화학적 조사를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 안동 하회지구내 모래사주에서 식생이 정착 발달 확장 되어가는 과정을 파악할 수 있었다. 하회지구의 식생역의 발달은 시기적으로 홍수기와 비홍수기의 반복적인 출현에 영향을 받고 있었다. 그리고 공간적으로는 홍수기 동안의 유사의 퇴적과 세굴과정과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 식생역의 확장과정은 이러한 시공간적 상황으로 인해 유발되는 토양의 물리화학적 특성과 높은 상관성이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Unambiguous Identification of Fugitive Pollutants and Determination of Annual Emission Flux as Diurnal Monitoring Mode

  • Toxic air pollutants are investigated in a petrochemical industrial park in Taiwan by using a movable open path FTIR. The results show the qualitative and quantitative analysis of emission gases from plants, and also provide the emission rate of different compounds. More than twenty compounds under usual operation are found from this industrial park. The concentration variation with time can be correlated exactly with wind direction. It means that by changing the measuring points, the source of emission can be unambiguously identified. An EPA proved PAL model is applied to estimate the emission rate of either a point or an area source. Local atmospheric stability is determined by releasing the $SF_6$ tracer. The origins of errors come mainly from the uncertainty of source's configuration and the variation of meteorological condition. Through the continuous measurement (half an hour base in this study) of OP-FTIR sensor, the maximum value of emission rate and the annual amount of emission can be derived. The emission rate of the measured toxic gases are derived by the model technique and the results show that the emission amount are in the order of ten to hundred tons per year.

  • This paper concerns attitude controller design for a 3-staged launch vehicle which has movable nozzle TVC systems for all stages as its control systems. The PD-type control gains are determined by shaping the corresponding closed-loop natural frequencies for the purpose of guaranteeing the required stability margin. Bending filters are also designed to stabilize the bending modes by using parametric optimization method. The designed controllers are verified using six degree of freedom flight simulations in MATLAB.

  • This article addresses issues related to environmental pollution.Particular attention is paid to the prevention of environmental pollution by livestock waste, which prompted the creation of closed ecological and biotechnical systems as environmentally closed production structures that can fit into the equilibrium system of the environment with minimal damage to it. An energy-saving and environmental protection technology for the processing and disposal of livestock waste with a maximum coefficient of energy transfer to livestock products has been developed, which consists in a combined treatment of waste in three stages, by transferring waste from one technological module to another, which makes it possible to completely utilize mineral substances in waste. The focus is on vermicultivation, microalgae cultivation and anaerobic fermentation in a bioenergy plant. To increase the productivity of growing microalgae, the authors proposed a deep type cultivator with submerged movable light sources.The technological parameters of the bioenergy installation for waste treatment are determined. An energy-saving and environmental-friendly technology has been developed for processing The main contribution of the study is the development of energy-saving and environmental technology for the processing and disposal of livestock waste with a maximum coefficient of energy transfer to livestock products.
