  • Surface mounters are used to mount the parts of electronic products on PCB(Printed Circuit Board. Those machines rely on high precision, high productivity, and software for accomodation of use. In this paper, two algorithms and a software which can give the users the acco-modation and high productivity for rotary type surface mounters are presented. The algo- rithms for development of of the software consider all factors which affect the effeciency of the operation. And the interface between user and machine for the accomodation of use can be achieved through the developed software.

  • Casts are often transferred to the articulator by arbitrary means, because the method of locating the true hinge axis point thought to be a complicated and time consuming procedure, and because the importance and significance of the true hinge axis in the construction of dental prosthesis is not sufficiently understood. In this report, the author constructed the hinge axis locator and determined the variations in location of the true hinge axis points from the location of the hinge axis point determined by arbitrary means. For this report, the procedure was followed on 50 persons with normal occlusion and sound T.M.J. function, so 100 true hinge axis points were recorded and compared with the arbitrary hinge axis point. The results obtained were as follows. 1. The mean distance from the arbitrary hinge axis point to the true hinge axis point was as follows. Right; (O)5.17mm., (V)3.44mm., (H)3.55mm.. Left; (O)5.63mm., (V)3.95mm., (H)3.51mm.. 2. The percentage of true hinge axis points classified at intervals of 2mm was as follows. 0-2mm; 4%, 2-4mm; 21%, 4-6mm; 37%, 6-8mm; 26%, 8-10mm; 10%, Over 10mm; 2%. And only 50% of the 100 true hinge axis points were located within a 5mm. radius of the arbitrary hinge axis point. 3. Instead of transferring the casts to the articulator by arbitrary means, the careful location of the true hinge axis points is recommended to avoid potential sources of error in mounting casts.

  • A detail design of overhead catenary system can be divided into a pegging plan and a design of MD(mounting diagram). In the pegging plan, the mast location, staggering and tension length are determined in the longitudinal point of view according to track condition, location of substation and etc. In the MD, a transversal diagram including masts, all of wires, cantilever, foundation and etc. and materials used are shown. This study presents a development of a software to design the MD for a conventional catenary system automatically. In the program, thin walled steel pole, foundation, cantilever, all of wires and etc. are automatically drawn according to the input and catenary conditions. And materials used in the MD and the section can be also managed respectively in the program. This application of the program is developed using C# for input/calculating and using C++(ObjectARX) for drafting the MD, respectively.

  • Data required in a wireless sensor network environment requires more accurate figures as technology advances and its complexity increases. However, in the case of operating a large number of sensor nodes in a large area, the balance between the power consumed and the data quality that can be acquired accordingly should be considered for that purpose. In particular, in complex, densely populated urban areas or military operations with specific goals, location data requires increasingly detailed and high accuracy over a wide range. In this paper, we propose a method of mounting a Global Positioning System(: GPS) only on some of the sensor nodes deployed in the wireless sensor network and improving the error of GPS location data measured on that sensor node through Angle of Arrival(: AoA) and Received Signal Strength Indicator(: RSSI).

  • In this study, we propose a cow behavior recognition system based on YOLOX and OC-SORT. YOLO X detects targets in real-time and provides information on cow location and behavior. The OC-SORT module tracks cows in the video and assigns unique IDs. The quantitative analysis module analyzes the behavior and location information of cows. Experimental results show that our system demonstrates high accuracy and precision in target detection and tracking. The average precision (AP) of YOLOX was 82.2%, the average recall (AR) was 85.5%, the number of parameters was 54.15M, and the computation was 194.16GFLOPs. OC-SORT was able to maintain high-precision real-time target tracking in complex environments and occlusion situations. By analyzing changes in cow movement and frequency of mounting behavior, our system can help more accurately discern the estrus behavior of cows.

  • The kinematic and complicance characteristics of torsion beam axle is structurally related to the location and section profile of torsion beam and the span from body mounting point to wheel center. This paper presents the effect of section properties in torsion beam on the structural characteristics and roll behavior of suspension. The structural characteristics is on the maximum stress on the welding area of torsion beam and the roll behavior is on roll steer and roll-camber of suspension which are important for controllability and stability in cornering. Four factors are used for the section design of torsion beam, which are thickness , midline length, are inner radius, and sector half angle . Through the structural and quasi-static analysis made for six torsion beam axle models, it can be noticed that roll steer and the structural durability of suspension are closely related to warping constant and shear center in section properties of torsion beam.

  • Recently, pedestrian protection related research topics have been actively studied by automotive designers and engineers due to the enhanced pedestrian protecting regulations. It is required to design an energy absorbing structure, such as crumple zone that can sufficiently absorb the impact energy to reduce the leg injury when accident happens. The structure is designed by reducing the height of front end module, considering the mounting location, and investigating impact characteristics. In this paper, the concept of the crumple zone was introduced and the role of the crumple zone was investigated by analyzing the performance of upper legform impact to a bonnet leading edge test, and the design process was suggested.

  • The effects of the mounting location of ICI cables on severe accident mitigation systems, specially IVR-ERVC (In-Vessel Retention by External Reactor Vessel Cooling) and core catcher (Ex-vessel corium retention and cooling system), are investigated. The effects of bottom-mounted ICI strategy on severe accident mitigation are summarized and advantages of top-mounted ICI to improve severe accident mitigation are also highlighted.

  • In this paper, zero-energy house in order to monitor the energy savings come with Zigbee communication temperature humidity, smoke detection, illumination and CO2 to develop complex sensor board a protocol for handling about it dealt. In particular, indoor space to mount the sensor based on the location of the control algorithm, so it varies through the Zigbee wireless sensor mounting position is free, and the advantage of being able to change. Also, the energy loss that occurs through the window can be reduced to the room lighting can play an important role in the control system.

  • Gas springs have been widely used in motor vehicles as well as in most areas of industry. Instead of coil springs, these gas springs are easily opreated to open(extension process) or close (compression process) the doors because $N_2$ gas with high pressure and oil are charged in tube. Most of manufacturers are using the trial & error method in order to decide its specification(reaction force, damping force), which tends to waste time and money. Therefore, gas springs have been improved by properly changing the control pressure of $N_2$ Gas with its mounting location and weight to maximize its effect and to minimize its space. Although it has been researched on damping structure to minimize impact which is applied to vehicle when its back door is fully opened, the characteristics of damping structure are not known clearly. There(ore, this paper will not only clearly define the effect of important factors(open & close force)for gas springs through theoretical analysis but also provide optimum design specification through development of program to avoid traditional method of specification determination such as the trail It error method which is widely used in whole industries including automotive industry.
