In this paper, we suggest an algorithm that allows us to extract the important obbject from motion pictures and then replace the background with arbitrary images. The suggested technique can be used not only for protecting privacy and reducing the size of data to be transferred by removing the background of each frame, but also for replacing the background with user-selected image in video communication systems including mobile phones. Because of the relatively large size of image data, digital image processing usually takes much of the resources like memory and CPU. This can cause trouble especially for mobile video phones which typically have restricted resources. In our experiments, we could reduce the requirements of time and memory for processing the images by restricting the search area to the vicinity of major object's contour found in the previous frame based on the fact that the movement of major object is not wide or rapid in general. Specifically, we detected edges and used the edge image of the initial frame to locate candidate-object areas. Then, on the located areas, we computed the difference image between adjacent frames and used it to determine and trace the major object that might be moving. And then we computed the contour of the major object and used it to separate major object from the background. We could successfully separate major object from the background and replate the background with arbitrary images.

This paper proposes a moving object tracking algorithm by using hierarchical search method in dynamic scenes. Proposed algorithm is based on two main steps: generation step of initial model from different pictures, and tracking step of moving object under the time-yawing scenes. With a series of this procedure, tracking process is not only stable under far distance circumstance with respect to the previous frame but also reliable under shape variation from the 3-dimensional(3D) motion and camera sway, and consequently, by correcting position of moving object, tracking time is relatively reduced. Partial Hausdorff distance is also utilized as an estimation function to determine the similarity between model and moving object. In order to testify the performance of proposed method, the extraction and tracking performance have tested using some kinds of moving car in dynamic scenes. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm provides higher performance. Namely, matching order is 28.21 times on average, and considering the processing time per frame, it is 53.21ms/frame. Computation result between the tracking position and that of currently real with respect to the root-mean-square(rms) is 1.148. In the occasion of different vehicle in terms of size, color and shape, tracking performance is 98.66%. In such case as background-dependence due to the analogy to road is 95.33%, and total average is 97%.
This study aimed to investigate the effects of dimensions of movie clip (2D vs. 3D), viewing orders (2D ${\to}$ 3D vs. 3D ${\to}$ 2D), and gender difference on participants' subjective fatigue, recognition for the elements in the clips, and arousal level. The results can be summarized as followings. First, subjective fatigue level was higher in the 3D condition than 2D condition, but this tendency was more clear in the 2D ${\to}$ 3D condition than in the 3D ${\to}$ 2D condition. Second, correct recognition rates were significantly higher for 3D than 2D only in the 3D ${\to}$ 2D condition. In particular, male participants showed higher correct recognition rates than female participants in the 3D clip condition, whereas female participants showed higher correct recognition rates than male participants in the 2D clip condition. Third, although 3D clips tended to induce higher level of arousal, this tendency was showed only in the 2D ${\to}$ 3D condition, which implied previous exposure to 2D clip increased the arousal level in following 3D clip than vice versa.
Because of development of information technology, moving picture can run various platforms. We should consider and apply users' attitude as well as production technique because convergence between mobile and media technology may be increased full-browsing service using mobile device. Previous research related to production technique in various platforms only focus on video quality and adjustment of screen size. However, besides of technical side, production techniques should be changed such as image production as well as image editing by point of view aesthetic. Mise-en-scene such as camera angle, composition, and lighting is changed due to HD image. Also image production should be changed to a suitable full-browsing service using mobile device. Therefore, we would explore a new suitable production techniques and image editing for smart phone. To propose production techniques for smart phone, we used E-learning production system, which are transition, editing technique for suitable converting system. Such as new attempts are leading to new paradigm and establishing their position by applying characteries such as openness, timeliness to mobile. Also it can be extended individual area and established as expression and play tool.
The purposes of this research are firstly to define the characteristics of movement on the costume, secondly to demonstrate that fine art, expecially in relation to kinetic art, has become a good motif in modern costume de-sign, and thirdly to examin the characteristics of movement as shown in modern costume de-sign. For this study, we selected and analyzed some costume designs among those introduced in fashion magazines, which are Collections, Fashion-Preview, Fashion Show, Collezioni, and L'Officiel that have been issued since 1988. As this research is carried out only through the analysis of pictures, it is not ac-companied by a study on material itself. The result of this study is that the ex-pression of movement on modern fashion can be shown in two ways, one is the inclusive and subordinate movement expressed on the cloth-ing according to the motion of body when they are worn, and the other is the movement caused by the very designs of clothing. And the latter can be also divided in two ways, the illusionistic movement and the actual move-ment. The expression of actual movement is made through the emphasis of direction, rhythm, and dimension of the costume. And the illusionistic movement is expressed by the de-sign to which the textile pattern or reflection of light is applied so that the movement is larger than the actual movement. A sense of direction expressed on the cos-tume by the actual movement creates a light rhythm and adds interest to the costume. This reflects a part of psychology of modern men who are not accustomed to the statics. In the rapidly changing society of information our modern men seek after movement even in the statics. It is also true in the clothing and they seem to get a psychological rest through the immediated visual change as shown in fashion design. The simple and cheerful rhythm expressed by the illusionistic movement on the costume is attempted in order to overcome the static tediousness caused by simple design. These elements of movement cause the en-largement of visible range and create another enlarged shape other than the real one, so that they come to remove the dullness and monot-ony in costume design and provoke interest in costume, as if kinetic art reveals the various aspects that transcend the closed area of fine art upon the motif of 'movement'. finally, as this paper deals with the ex-pression of movement as shown in the costume design which prevailed after 1988, it is desir-able hereafter to study more about the fashion since 1950 when kinetic art began in earnest, along with the comparative study on the ex-pression of movement in our Korean designer's and foreign designer's works.

This thesis alms at analyzing various effects of color contrast, process of color, hue variation, and use of color according to the atmosphere of each cut and the process of plot by selecting the children's picture books which were published abroad and home on the basis of color concept, emotion, and image association which children feel In order to Investigate and analyze the symbolism of color and emotional effect expressed through the illustration of children's picture book, and presenting a direction of color use to produce high-level children's picture book with illustrators individuality and artistry.
Purpose: Nurse educators can use film effectively to promote nursing students' motivation and indirect experiences. The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching-learning design using films based on Kolb's experiential learning model for understanding of child growth and development, and to evaluate students' satisfaction with cinenurducation according to learning type and content. Methods: Participants were seventy-four first year nursing students in the spring semester of 2013 at a private university located in Busan. In each class, participants watched film, participated in peer-to-group discussion and an educator's lecture, and wrote a composition based on Kolb's four learning stages. After class, participants filled out a questionnaire developed by the researchers. Results: Results showed a high satisfaction with cinenurducation regardless of learning type and content concerning child growth and development. Advantages of cinenurducation included it being "fun and interesting," "helpful to understand the characteristics of children," and "develop critical thinking through discussions." Disadvantages included "length of time needed," and "burdensome." Conclusion: Films are advantageous in that they provide indirect experience for nursing students. Selection of appropriate films and evaluation of learning goal achievements are important to maximize the effectiveness of cinenurducation.

The H.264 standard is widely used due to the high compression rate and quality. The deblocking filter of the H.264 standard improves the quality of images by eliminating blocking artifacts of pictures, and it requires a lot of computation. We propose a new hardware architecture for the deblocking filter with pipelined architecture, 1-D filters which support both horizontal and vertical filtering and efficient memory management. Four memory blocks are configured for the efficient storage and access of the current macroblock and adjacent referenced sub-macroblocks, and the pixel data from the motion compensation unit can be transferred without waiting during the computation cycles of the deblocking filter. The number of computation cycles and the hardware area are reduced using the proposed architecture, and the performance of the H.264 decoder is improved. We design the deblocking filter using Verilog-HDL and implement using an FPGA. The designed deblocking filter can be used for decoding HD quality images at 77 MHz.

E-mail has been eidely used for unformation delivery as an Inernet serive. As multimedia etchnologies are developed rapidly, most of the recent Unternet infornation servies support multimedia data. E-mail system also needs to suport multimedia nesage. But Internet mail servise using simple maiol transfer protocol(SMTP) speci-fied in RFC 821/822 handles only ASCII text messages repressented with 7-bit code. Each line the message has the length limitation as well. Those are why it cannot satisfy the diverse user'w demands. Multipuepose Unternet mail extensions(MIMZE), which is a modification and supplement of RFC 822,was proposed for supporting transportation of multimedia data.It can solve the limitations of sizes and types in contents of a message. In this study the E-mail system has been designed and implemented according to the MIME standard in order to solve the limitations of transpotation of messages regardless of the message content type. Hypertext markup language(HTML)syntax is applied to the mail system, and so it is possible to display a message consisting of differnt media as an intergrated from for the purpose of better understanding a message. No application program is needed for displaying a message including image data,and convenience for user is considered in the system. The futuer work is to improve the E-mail system so that it may support motion pictures and sound information,Thereby tge perfor multimeda E-mail system providing inergrated user's wiew will be developed.
In the early 20th century, Japan built theaters to take possession of colonial culture while establishing the Imperial University, libraries, and museums to accumulate and spread the knowledge of "imperial" Japan. Many different genres made a hit in theaters including theatrical troupes, theatrical companies, and motion pictures. One of the various features of expositions was "spectacles" or unusual events. They were integrated with a national festival in celebration of "5th anniversary of political commencement." In 1915, the longest hit series in Keijo (Seoul) was the dance performance by professional Japanese beauties and entertainers, whose songs delivered the legitimacy of governance. This study focused on the performance in the space of "cultural" spread called theaters, thus examining the "imperial" cultural waves they were in charge of. The study also focused on the tensional relations of Hierarchie along those cultural borders. The performance at the theater Engeikan(演芸館) in 1915 was especially an epoch-making event in the Japanese theatrical community of Keijo (Seoul): first, it marked the emergence of large-scale performance hall called Engeikan(演芸館); secondly, the performance kept its ongoing, stable streak for about 50 days; and it led to the appearance of leading troupes including Geijutuza(芸術座), which put on a show in Keijo (Seoul) in November, 1915. The study examined the issues of theater Engeikan(演芸館) performance in 1915 involving the art company, performance genre, and audience composition, showed that there was the coexistence of entertainment and governance through cultural ruling while securing amusement and entertainment, and found it was accompanied by the organized operation of "Keijo Sponsorship Council(京城協贊會)" which brought together the cultural capabilities of Japanese people living in Joseon. The performance at theater Engeikan(演芸館) in Keijo (Seoul) in 1915 fully reflected the issues involving the tensional relations between different artistic genres, the competing relations between the subjects of performance, and the cultural power.
