The dynamics and Durability of Permanent Form Mortar were observed. The results were as the followings. To construct New permanent form, this study constructed permanent form with fiber mortar. In this course glass fiber and polymer, fine aggregate were substituted with river sand and crush sand. To understand material quality effect, flexible mortar and inflexible mortar were tested. According to the microstructure of polymermatrix test by SEM, higher density by Co-matrix effect from polymer addiction was observed. This is considered to increase acid-resistanc, impact proof strenght. In the test of durability of freezing and thawing, polymer mortar was proved to be water proof. It seems to be improved in its characteristics in proportion to increasing W/C ratio. When the W/C ratio is 30%, it is most effective.

This paper presents a detailed experimental study on the durability properties of mortar matrix made with two kind of recycled fine aggregates(RAA, RAB) and five replacement levels (0, 25, 40, 75 and 100) of the recycled fine aggregates as a partial replacement of natural fine aggregate (NA). The durability properties of mortar matrix was evaluated using compressive strength, chloride ion ingress, sulfate attack and carbonation. The test results indicated that the water absorption and Adhered mortar of the recycled fine aggregate was a major factor controlling durability properties. Hereafter, when using built recycled fine aggregate is expected, appropriate removal Adhered mortar and reasonable replacement ratio of recycled fine aggregates was 25% weight of cement are advised to apply to the concrete materials.

High ductile fiber reinforced mortar suitable for wet-mix shotcreting (sprayable ductile mortar) 10 the fresh state, while maintaining tensile strain-hardening behavior in the hardened state, has been developed based on micromechanics and workability control. In the development concept of sprayable ductile mortar, micromechanics is adopted to properly select the matrix, fiber, and interface properties to exhibit strain hardening and multiple cracking behaviors in the composites. Within the pre-determined micromechanical constraints, the workability is controlled by optimizing mix proportions. A series of spray tests show the excellent pumpability and sprayability of the sprayable ductile mortar. Subsequent direct tensile tests demonstrate that the tensile performance of sprayed mortar is comparable to that of cast mortar, for the same mix design.

This study incorporates fine waste glass (GS) as a replacement for natural sand (NS) in fly ash (FA) based alkali activated mortar (AAm). AAms were heated at elevated temperature of 200℃, 400℃, 600℃, and 800℃ to explore the residual mass, compressive strength, thermal expansion and change in microstructure of matrix. Results showed greater resistance of AAms with increasing GS content to 50% at each temperature. Owing to the melting of GS at 800℃, the greater matrix bond was observed for AAm incorporating 75% and 100% GS as a result, the residual compressive strength was increased.

Various methods have been used to reinforce the cementitious material such as mortar and concrete that have weak tensile strength. Major reinforcing method is to mix matrix with fibers which have strong tensile strength. Recently, micro-fiber reinforced mortar has been studied which removes coarse aggregate and uses micro-fiber with small diameter in order to homogenize the matrix properties and maximize the performance of fiber. Performance of micro-fiber reinforced mortar showing multiple cracking behavior is hardly represented only by the flexural toughness. Therefore, This paper reports the cracking behavior as well as mechanical behavior for various mixtures which have different fiber type and mixture proportions to find the proper parameter representing the cracking characteristic. Correlations between flexural toughness and various cracking characteristics such as cracking area, width and number are explored. As a result, it is found that flexural toughness, volume of fiber and number of cracks are suitable for representing the characteristics of micro-fiber reinforced mortar.
Polymer-modified mortar and concrete are prepared by mixing either a polymer or monomer in a dispersed, or liquid form with fresh cement mortar and concrete mixtures, and subsequently curing, and if necessary, the monomer contained in the mortar or concrete is polymerized in situ. Although polymers and monomers in any form such as latexes, water-soluble polymers, liquid resins, and monomers are used in cement composites such as mortar and concrete, it is very important that both cement hydration and polymer phase formation proceed well the yield a monolithic matrix phase with a network structure in which the hydrated cement phase and polymer phase interpenetrate. In the polymer-modified mortar and concrete structures, aggregates are bound by such a co-matrix phase, resulting in the superior properties of polymer-modified mortar and concrete compared to conventional mortar and concrete. The purpose of this study is to obtain the necessary basic data to develope appropriate latexes as cement modifiers, and to clarify the effects of the monomer ratios and amount of emulsifier on the properties of the polymer-modified mortars using methyl methacrylate-butyl acrylate(MMA/BA) and methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate(MMA/EA) latexes. The results of this study are as follows, the water absorption, chloride ion penetration depth and carbonation depth of MMA/BA-modified mortar are lowest. However, they are greatly affected by the polymer-cement ratio rather than the bound MMA content and type of polymer.
This study aimed to develop reference materials (RMs) for mortar that can simulate the initial flow characteristics with constant quality over a long period. Through the previous research on the development of RMs for cement paste, the combination of limestone, glycerol, and water was used as the basic matrix for developing RMs for mortar in this study. In addition, glass beads of three particle sizes (0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mm) and ISO standard sand were selected as tentative candidates to derive fine aggregate substitutes. The mixture of glass beads could simulate the initial flow characteristics of mortar, but under the same mixing ratio, replicates showed an unstable tendency to indicate inconsistent values due to the generation of electrostatic properties between materials and equipment. On the other hand, the mixture using ISO standard Sand not only simulates the constant flow characteristics for a long period of time, but also shows stable results with little error in replicates. Therefore, limestone, glycerol, ISO standard sand, and water were finally determined as components that met the required properties of RMs for mortar. The effect of each component on the flow characteristics of RMs was analyzed. It was found that glycerol increased the cohesion between the particles of standard sand, resulting in a constant increase both in the plastic viscosity and yield stress. Both limestone and standard sand had a dominant effect on the yield stress. The relationships between various mortar mixing ratios and the corresponding mixing ratios of RMs were established. In addition, the results of the verification experiment showed that the rheological properties of the RMs obtained through the relationships correlated with various water/cement ratios and the fine aggregate volume fractions of mortar obtained with same manner. In other words, the RMs for mortar developed in this study can be used as standard samples because they can simulate the initial flow characteristics of mortar of various mixing ratios for a long period without any chemical changes.

This paper describes the sulfate resistance of cement pastes and mortar with or without ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS). Sulfate attack was performed on the cement pastes and mortar, which had been prepared by using a water-binder ratio of 0.45. Variables were the fineness levels of GGBS and the concentrations of two sulfate solution. In this present study, compressive strength and length change were carried out to evaluate the sulfate resistance of GGBS with various fineness levels. From the test results, it can be concluded that the deterioration modes of cement matrix with GGBS were dependent on the exposure solutions. Moreover, the influence of fineness levels of GGBS on the sulfate resistance was somewhat little because of a relative short exposure period.
This paper aimed to investigate the effect of MWCNTs on properties of slag Geopolymeric mortar. Geopolymeric matrices containing different MWCNTs concentrations (0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 % by weight of the used binder) were synthesized. The Geopolymer mortar composed of aluminosilicate slag to sand (1:2), while the alumino silicate source binder composed of 50% air cooled slag and 50%water cooled slag both passing a sieve of $90{\mu}m$, while the sand passing a sieve of 1 ml. The materials prepared at water/binder ratios in a range of 0.34-0.39% depending on the added MWCNT, whereas the Gelenium Ace-30 superplasticizer used in the ratio of 1.4-2.2% from the total dry weight for better dispersion of MWCNT under sonication for 15 min. Alkaline activation of the Geopolymer mortar was carried by using of 6% NaOH. Curing was performed under temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ and 100% R.H. Results showed that the addition of MWCNTs enhanced the resulting amorphous geopolymer structure with marked decrease in the drying shrinkage as well as water absorption specially when using 0.1% MWCNT, while further increase in MWCNTs results in agglomeration in MWCNT within the matrix and so hinder the propagation of Geopolymerization reaction and negatively affect the formed geopolymer structure.
This paper summarizes the design procedure and constructibility of an ECC (Engineered Cementitious Composite), which is a synthetic fiber-reinforced composite produced with the Portland cement-based mortar matrix. This study employs a stepwise method to develop useful ECC in construction field, which possesses different fluid properties to facilitate diverse types of processing (i.e., self-consolidating or spray processing). To control the rheological properties of the composite, the aggregates and reinforcing fibers were initially selected based on micromechanical analysis and steady-state cracking theory. The stability and consequent viscosity of the suspensions were then mediated by optimizing the dosage of the chemical and mineral admixtures. The rheological properties altered through this approach were revealed to be effective in obtaining ECC-hardened properties, represented by pseudo strain-hardening behavior in uniaxial tension, allowing the readily achievement of the desired function of the fresh ECC.
