  • This study put the purpose to contribute in the way of complementing a qualification of the opened examination for the fire service to improvement of disposition and specialty of a firemen, and to development of a fire department. The subjects of the opened examination for the fire service are mostly same as those of general civil service examination, and they incite indiscreet competition. As a result, firemen morale became declining. On the basis of every kind of documents and data and the analysis of a questionnaire with students of the department of fire safety supervision, we should solve the problems of lack of qualification and professionality causing stress from work by the unit completion system, which qualifies those who complete prescribed unit in the opened examination for the fire service. It must promote the specialty of a fire fighter so that we can step up to the advanced fire department.

The subjects of the survey were 593 nurses of general hospitals in Tae-gu City. The survey was conducted from June 10, 1994 to October 3, 1994. The questionnaire included 34 question items concerning general characteristics, factors related to low back pain, physical nursing activities, and characteristics of low back pain. The results were as follows : 1. Among 593 of subjects, the prevalence rate of low back pain showed 62.1%. 2. In relation of health related life activities and low back pain prevalence, self-reported health state was highly significant(P=.000). 3. In relation of work environmental factors and low back pain prevalence, job satisfaction (P=.026), job stress(P=.020), and workload(P=.002) were significant. 4. In relation of physical nursing activities and low back pain prevalence, bending (P=.000), trunk twisting(P=.003), stretching(P=.006), and pulling and pushing(P=.046) were significant. 5. Physical nursing activities inducing back stress was varicant according to wards. The results of this study pointed out that the subjects' low back pain prevalence was related to the work-related physiologic and psychologic factors. Therefore, for the effective prevention of low back pain, both practicing the body mechanics and raising the morale of the nurses are needed in educational program.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe the role experiences of occupational health nurse. The research question was "what are daily experiences in practice?" Methods: The data were collected through the focus-group interviews with nine occupational health nurses and analyzed by the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin (1998). Results: The core category on occupational health nurse role experience was named as "struggling alone with the dual role". The causal conditions included 'unfamiliar area' and 'new work'. The contextual conditions included 'overload of work, 'tasks beyond OHN job' and 'disharmony with colleagues'. The intervening conditions were analyzed as supportive factors and discouraging factors. There were action/interaction strategies 'getting information about tasks', 'working as a professional', 'establishing a cooperative relationship', 'seeking help' by trying to regulate the phenomenon. Finally they succeed in 'establishing the identity' and 'feeling proud', but sometimes they could be 'suffering from low morale', or 'considering turnover'. Conclusion: Through these results, it can be explained that occupational health nurses have been exerting themselves to establish their role with various situation through the conflicted context. Based on the findings, we suggest developing the diverse continuing education programs to be tailored for OHN's needs and reinforcing the occupational health services under the legal and political support.

  • Technology has been viewed at various stages of civilization as leading to future progress. The building, its services systems and management of the work process all contribute to the well-being of people within an organization. Productivity relies on there being a general sense of high morale and satisfaction with the workplace. Now buildings are considered as providing a milieu for human creativity. Flexibility, adaptability, service integration and high standards of finishes offer an intelligence threshold. Building Automation System(BAS) - controlled lighting systems may offer incremental energy saving. Conventional Lighting control systems often control equipment in a single room or over the limited area, because they are centralized control systems, which means that all the controlled circuits must be wired to a single control panel. The computers used by these systems are typically dedicated microprocess that perform only lighting control functions. By comparison, modern Building automation systems are distributed control system, which means that their computing hardware and software are distributed as a network that microprocessor-based control modules and standard PC. PLC(Programmable Logic controller) is extensible virtually without limits, so that all the lighting in a facility can be controlled by single, unified system - the same system that also can control and monitor the building's HVAC, security, and manufacturing processed, elevators, and more. A Building automation system can control light using schedules, manual controls, occupancy sensors, and photosensors, either singly or in combination. Building Lighting control and monitoring system will be for a energy saving and efficient building management system.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how the management's leadership style influence on the job-satisfaction for the employees and the employee's turnover intension. • This study purposed to analyze how teacher experience of instructional change (EIC), teacher morale (TM), and school climate (SC) mediate or moderate the relationship between teacher efforts on instructional improvement (EII) and teacher efficacy (TE). For the purpose, the 6th year data of Gyeonggi Education Panel Study (GEPS) which was administered in 2017 for the 9th grade students and their teachers from 197 middle schools in Gyeonggi Province was used. As results, the mediation effects of EIC on the link between EII and TE was found only under the innovative climate. The moderation effects of TM on the connection between EIC and TE were appeared in both of the permissive and the innovative climate. Finally, the moderated mediation effects of the TM in the innovative climate were bigger rather than in the permissive climate.

  • This research used Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to analyze the importance and priority of functional space and evaluation factors of each functional space of the military dining facility. Dining in the military is an important factor in restoring combat power and promoting morale. The military dining facility serves as a not only for meals, but also for watching TV, education and club activities. Workers working in dining facility spend most of their work hours in dining facility, perform tasks such as cooking, dishwashing, and leftover disposal, and take breaks. As such, the military dining facility is a space where various functions are performed, and space planning should take into account these various functions when planning the building of the dining facility. However, the criteria for defense and military facilities, which are the basis for planning the space of military dining facility, are calculated only by simply analyzing the standard floor plan to match the size of the person-to. Therefore, when there is space to be reduced in the total area, there are side effects such as leaving visible table space without consideration for priority or functional space, unseen office space, and adjusting the entire area through reduction of the lounge. Accordingly, based on the priority of the space that the staff of the military dining facility considers important, this research aims to analyze the characteristics of each functional space through classification according to its unique function. This can be an indicator that can be used as a basis for future revision of the building floor area standards of the defense and military facilities standards, and it can improve usability with an efficient space plan that takes into account the characteristics of the Korean military and the satisfaction of its workers. Furthermore, efficient use of the defense budget through rational building plans can contribute to budget reduction.
