공자(孔子)의 실천적 덕론(德論) - 인(仁)과 예(禮)를 중심으로 - (Kongzi's Practical Teachings on De 德 (Moral Virtues): Ren 仁 (Benevolence) and Li 禮 (Ritual Propriety) as the Main Topics)

  • 공자(孔子)로 대표되는 선진유가의 주된 관심은 어떻게 하면 인간이 도덕적 완성을 이룰 수 있는가 하는 문제에 있었다. 유가의 모든 이론들은 도덕적 완성을 이룬 성인(聖人)이나 군자(君子)를 설명하기 위한 이론이라고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도로, 이 문제는 유가의 근본 문제에 해당된다. 유학에서의 덕(德)은 행위의 도덕적 원칙이나 사물의 특성을 가리키는 범주로서, 도덕 근원으로부터 부여받은 존재 내면의 도덕적 성품 혹은 도덕적 능력을 의미한다. 공자는 내재적 정신인 인(仁)과 표현 형식인 예(禮)를 통하여 덕의 내용과 실천방법을 구체화 하였으며 도덕적 실천성을 강조하였다. 나 자신은 물론 타자와의 관계에 있어서, 그리고 더 나아가 내가 마주하고 있는 여러 사물과 세계와 자연과의 올바른 관계맺음을 위한 근본적인 원리는 효제(孝弟)와 애인(愛人) 등 다양한 실천을 통해서 전개되고 있다. 또한 이러한 실천은 타자배려의 원리로서 관통되고 있지만, 구체적인 현실사회의 다양한 조건에 따른 역동적인 실천규범은 다각도로 모색되고 있다. 삶의 철학이며 실천윤리였던 공자의 사상을 덕론과 관련하여 탐구하는 것은 현 시대의 교육적 문제와 관련하여 성찰적 의미가 있다.

조직 구성원들의 정보보안 정책 위반에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Understanding an Employee Information Systems Security Violations)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 왜 조직 구성원들이 정보보안 정책을 위배하는지에 대해 알아보기 위해 도덕적 해방이론을 기반으로 수행되었다. 분석 결과 도덕적 신념과 처벌에 대한 인지는 보안 정책 위배에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 도덕적 해당이 존재할 경우 처벌에 대한 인지는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 정보보안 인식교육과 도덕적 신념, 그리고 처벌에 대한 인지는 도덕적 해방에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 도덕적 해방은 정보보안 정책 위배에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

일 지역 간호사의 도덕적 고뇌 정도 (A Study on the Degree of Moral Distress of Nurses in a City)

  • Purpose: This study was carried out to understand the degree of moral distress of nurses and to provide scientific data for searching measures to efficiently manage their moral distress. Method: The survey was conducted with 302 nurses at the general hospital in City D by using the self-report type of questionnaire composed of 66 questions of 5-point Likert scale in four dimensions. Result: The mean scores of moral distress of nurses showed higher than average in all four dimensions: $80.54{\pm}14.82$ of 150 in the situational dimension, $52.99{\pm}9.98$ of 90 in the cognitive dimension, $13.30{\pm}2.85$ of 25 in the behavioral dimension, and $48.06{\pm}7.76$ of 65 in the emotional dimension. In addition, moral stress of each factor in the situational area showed $34.20{\pm}7.27$ in negative medical behavior, $10.98{\pm}2.53$ in lack of respect for autonomy of patients, excessive economic burden $10.86{\pm}2.94$, $7.40{\pm}1.89$ in irrational organizational administration and $17.10{\pm}3.50$ in negative nursing behavior. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop the intervention program to help nurses to reduce their moral distress since its degree showed considerably high.

간호대생과 의대생의 도덕판단력 발달에 관한 종단적 연구 (A Longitudinal Study on Moral Judgment Development in Nursing and Medical Students)

  • Purpose: In this longitudinal study, we examined the moral judgment level and its related factors, such as individual characteristics. The result of this study will provide baseline data to establish policy of ethics education for college students and healthcare professionals. Method: We enrolled 37 nursing students and 20 medical students as the subjects in a university in Suwon, Korea. We conducted a questionnaire on the subjects using Korean version of Defining Issues Test(DIT) to analyze the subjects' moral judgment level. Collected data was coded using ASCII document and scored using Fortran program for computer. Then the data was statistically analyzed by SPSS Version 10.0. Result: Nursing students' moral development score at each stage were consistently higher at stage 5A across 4-years rather than other stages. On the other hand, medical students' moral development score were consistently higher at stage 4 than other stages. There was no significant difference in the change P(%) score at each academic year in both groups. In the perspective of the subjects' general characteristics, P(%) score showed no significant in both groups. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, further studies will examine the correlation between curriculum and moral judgment development in detail. Moreover, we suggest that the current ethics education should be developed and evaluated in more realistic manner.

청소년의 냉담성이 도덕적 이탈을 통해 반응적 및 주도적 공격성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Adolescents' Callousness on Reactive and Proactive Aggression Through Moral Disengagement)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of adolescents' callousness on reactive and proactive aggression through moral disengagement. Methods: The participants were 315 freshmen and sophomore high school student in Korea. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). Results: First, adolescents' callousness did not show a significant influence on reactive aggression directly or indirectly through moral disengagement. Second, adolescents' callousness had a significant influence on proactive aggression directly and indirectly through moral disengagement. That is, adolescents' high level of callousness not only predicts a higher level of proactive aggression directly, but also influences moral disengagement which may result in a high level of proactive aggression. In addition, the gender difference in this model was confirmed. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study indicated that adolescents' callousness could have different influences on aggression through moral disengagement by the types of aggression and gender. The results suggest that it is necessary to approach the emotional and cognitive process of adolescent aggression differently, depending on the type of aggression and gender.

간호대학생의 임상실습스트레스와 도덕적 민감성이 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of clinical practice stress and moral sensitivity on clinical competency in nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to explore how clinical practice stress and moral sensitivity affect the clinical competency of nursing students. Methods: Participants had completed at least a one year (2 semesters) clinical nursing practicum through K University in D Metropolitan City. A total of 188 nursing students were recruited: third grade (n=104) and fourth grade (n=84). The questionnaires were adopted with clinical practice stress, Korean version of moral sensitivity questionnaire (K-MSQ), and the clinical competency. Results: Clinical competency was positively correlated with patient-oriented care (r=.27, p<.001) and the professional responsibility (r=.32, p<.001) of the moral sensitivity (r=.27, p<.001). The attitude of medical personnel experiencing clinical practice stress shows a significant positive relationship with clinical competency (r=.15, p=.038). The attitude of medical personnel (β=.09, p=.194) experiencing clinical practice stress, patient-oriented care (β=.16, p=.041) and professional responsibility (β=.23, p=.003) of the moral sensitivity explained 12% of the variance in clinical competency (F=9.17, p<.001). Therefore, the influential factors on clinical competency were two sub-factors of moral sensitivity. Conclusion: Moral educational programs should be considered to develop a nursing students' clinical competency.

가치명료화 기법을 활용한 공직윤리 교육 콘텐츠 개발 방향 (A Way to Develop Contents for Officials Ethics Education using Value Clarification)

  • 이 연구는 가치명료화 기법을 활용한 공직윤리 교육 콘텐츠 개발의 기본적인 방향을 설정하는 데 주안을 두었다. 가치명료화 기법은 도덕성의 다양한 측면인 도덕적 감수성, 도덕적 판단력, 도덕적 동기화, 도덕적 실천력 중에서 도덕적 판단 역량을 길러주는 데 효과적인 교수학습방법으로 알려져 있다. 이 연구는 가치명료화 기법에 대한 이론을 바탕으로, 실제 공직윤리 교육을 위한 교수학습 방안과 그 평가 방안 등을 개략적으로 제시한다. 이 연구는 콘텐츠 모형을 제시하는 데 주안을 두기 때문에 자체 검증 결과를 제시하지 하지는 않는다. 향후 연구에서 이에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.

유아의 도덕적 및 인습적 규칙에 대한 판단 (Preschool Children's Judgment on Moral and Conventional Rules)

  • This paper is to examine the development of Korean young children's judgement on moral and conventional rules. The subjects are 120 children, 30 each at four age levels; age 3(2.8-3.5), age 4(3.7-4.4), age 5(4.8-5.5), and age 6(5.7-6.5) in a day care center in Taegu. Results are summarized as follows: 1. In terms of nonpermissibility, there was a significant difference in regard to the moral and the conventional rule transgression between the group of age 3 years and three groups of ages 4, 5, and 6. 2. In terms of seriousness, there was a significant difference according to domain. Three groups ages 4, 5 and 6 years evaluate moral transgressions to be more serious than conventional transgressions. 3. In terms of rule contingency and generalizability, there was a significant difference in regard to the moral and conventional transgression between the group of age 3 years and three groups of ages 4, 5 and 6. 4. In terms of punishment, there was significant difference according to domain. Three groups of age 4, 5, and 6 years evaluate moral transgressions to be more punishable than conventional transgressions. 5. Children of age 5 with institutional experience do not make a distinction between moral and conventional rules on punishment criterion.

간호대학생의 윤리적 가치관과 도덕적 고뇌 (Morl Distress and Ethical Values of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생이 지각한 도덕적 고뇌와 윤리적 가치관의 관계를 규명하기 위해 시도되었다. 일 지역 간호대학생 150명을 대상으로 하여 2019년 5월 1일부터 31일까지 설문조사를 시행하여 얻은 자료를 분석한 조사연구이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 연구결과 간호대학생이 지각한 도덕적 고뇌와 윤리적 가치관은 양의 상관관계를 나타내고 있었다. 대상자의 학년, 간호학과 선택 여부에 따라 도덕적 고뇌의 차이를 보였고, 윤리적 가치관은 나이, 학년, 간호학과 선택 여부, 교우 관계에 따라 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 하여 예비 간호사인 간호대학생의 도덕적 고뇌와 윤리적 가치관을 위한 중재방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.

상급종합병원 간호사의 공감 역량과 도덕적 민감성이 임종간호 수행에 미치는 영향 (Factors Influencing the Empathy Competence and Moral Sensitivity of Nurses at Tertiary General Hospitals Performing End-of-life Care)

  • Purpose: The goal of this study aimed to understand the factors influencing the empathy competence and moral sensitivity of nurses working in tertiary general hospitals who offered end-of-life care. Methods: Descriptive data were collected from self-reported questionnaires completed by 164 nurses with direct nursing care experience with end-of-life patients at two tertiary general hospitals located in Busan, Korea. The variables examined were empathy competence, moral sensitivity, and end-of-life care performance. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27.0 software. Results: Participants scored 3.73±0.40 on empathy competence, 4.97±0.51 on moral sensitivity and 2.91±0.37 on end-of-life care performance. There was a significant positive correlation between empathy competence and end-of-life care performance, and between moral sensitivity and end-of-life care performance. The factors affecting nurses' end-of-life care performance, empathy competence and moral sensitivity, exhibited with an explanatory power of 31%. Conclusion: Programs to increase empathy competence and moral sensitivity should be developed to improve nurses' end-of-life care performance.
