공간에서 빛의 유형분류와 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Categorization and Characterization of Light in Space)

  • Light has primary function to enlighten the darkness. However, as development and progresses in media has caused big change in our life, the range of usage and application of light is broadened. And these days, light is actively used as a communication tool in a space. This thesis is based on an idea that a new prospect of light is required and at the same time the theoretical foundation should be established to take active advantage of light. In Chapter two, analysis criteria are established to verify study hypothesis. The applied methodology is to analysis the contents based on literature review. Key words related light in space design are extracted and the frequency of those key words are quantitatively measured. Taking advantage of the result, the characteristics of light are divided into three categories, 'light as symbolic information', 'light as communication medium' and 'light as topological form'. In chapter three, analysis of cases is performed. The cases are selected based on space analyzing criteria established in Chapter two. Qualitative analysis is performed on the cases categorized into natural light and artificial light. Basic analysis elements are evaluated for each case. And each case is allocated to one of three categories, 'light as symbolic information', 'light as communication medium' and 'light as topological form'. Through this analysis, it is found that light in space has prevailing characteristics of 'light as symbolic information' and 'light as communication medium'.

종교공간에 있어서 현상학적인 빛의 연출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of the Phenomenological Light in the Religious Space)

  • From the ancient to contemporary architecture, the light has been an important theme determining the characteristics of interior space. Especially in the religious space, the light was manipulated to express the worship for a god more than a physical element of the nature. It implied that human's space perception through the light was considered prior to the space itself. The perceptual experience in space was primarily elicited by the light with other factors, such as water, texture, and sound which temporarily renewed and updated the information of space. In this study, we critically analyzed the effects of the light which enhanced human's perceptual experience in the religious space in the view of Merleau Ponty's phenomenological philosophy. We suggested that the light was one of the mos4 effective factors to express the characteristics of the religious space with respect to the Phenomenological Light which contributed to the continuity of time, expansion and direction of space, immaterialzation, and perceptual illusion.

비구면 광학계를 이용한 고출력 LED 스포트라이트에 관한 연구 (A Study on the LED Spotlight with a High Power using an Aspherical Optical System)

  • In this study we researched a spotlight in LED lighting. Ordinary LED spotlight was manufactured with characterized property of traveling straightness of LED light source, but multiple use of shell type LED, a yellow band has formed caused by light source interference between the LED. Also, there was a high miscellaneous light efficiency with losing light source homogeneity and efficiency due to light source control uneasiness. The study uses aspheric reflector and aspheric lens, so we can control the light source of LED spotlight with effectively and we reached surface light source by using COB/COM for LED module. Furthermore it can change its use by a reduced scale of light system. It has been designed to make its various application from low power consumption of bicycle lamp, up to high power consumption of automobile lamps and lighthouse.

  • The optical properties of $TiO_2$ thin films dispersed in epoxy film, which were prepared with bis-(4, 4'-P-toluenesulfonylacidic isoproplyidene) cycolhexadiol(BTSPC) and UVI 6990 in dry sol-gel process, were investigated. In the case of irradiating UV light on $TiO_2$ thin films, how many nanopartlcles of $TiO_2$ are dispersed in epoxy film was investigated by AFM. The absorption peak of the films was showed at 360nm. Squarylium dye was dispersed in $TiO_2$-epoxy film. Photodegration concerned with amount of dye and time of UV light irradiation was investigated. UV light irradiation on the film occurred dramatical photodegration.

LED조명 기반 가시광통신 기술 및 시스템 연구 (A Study on Visible Light Communication (VLC) System Technology Based on LED light)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 각광받고 있는 융합기술 중의 하나인 가시광 통신 기술을 개발하고 실제 시제품을 구현하기 위한 시스템 기술에 대해서 기술한다. 전 세계적으로 LED조명 시장이 급성장하고 있고 또한 이를 활용한 가시광통신(visible light communication:VLC) 기술이 화두가 되고 있다. 이에 따라서 본 논문에서는 현재 개발중인 LED기반 VLC 시스템 기술을 송신 및 수신 모듈로 분류하고 개별 모둘에 대한 구체적인 개발 시스템에 대해서 소자 및 주요 부품의 특성을 기반으로 제시한다. 또한 실제 개발된 시스템을 통해 약 0.5m 거리에서 약 12Mbps의 데이터 전송이 가능함을 보인다. 개발된 기술은 가정 내 또는 실내 주차장 등과 같이 실내 측위 또는 데이터 서비스 등에서 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 각광받고 있는 융합기술 중의 하나인 가시광 통신 기술에 대한 동향을 살펴보고 발전 방향을 고찰해 본다. 먼저 세계 각국에서 개발 중인 내용 등을 살펴보고 이를 토대로 세부 기술적 요소를 먼저 살펴본다. 이를 통해 현재 국제 표준화가 진행되고 있으며 기술적 파급 효과를 확대하기 위해 각국에서 응용 기술을 개발 중이다. 본 논문에서는 무엇보다도 표준 기술의 개발을 통한 다양한 응용 및 산업 적용 분야 등을 살펴봄으로써 융합 조명 기술의 확산 방안을 살펴보도록 한다.

Light Effects on the Membrane Potential in Oat Cells

  • One of the reaction pathways in light-invoked signal transduction can be initiated through ion fluxes across the plasma membrane in higher plants. We isolated protoplasts from oat coleoptile and examined the effects of light on the membrane potential using a membrane potential-sensitive fluorescent probe (bisoxonol). Both red and far-red light initially induced a hyperpolarization in oat cells. Red light-induced hyperpolarization was effectively dissipated by 100 mM $K^+$, but the hyperpolarization induced by far-red light was not depolarized by any of the cations ($K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Li^+$, $Na^+$) tested. The depolarization induced by red light and $K^+$ was inhibited by 200 mM TEA, which is a $K^+$ channel blocker. These results suggest that $K^+$ influx through the inward $K^+$ channel may be a depolarization path in the phytochrome-mediated signal transduction.

  • These days we are more interested in the space of architecture that how the change is likely to affect and how to be realized human. Human beings are recognizable the space and the creation of the space is eventually effected through human beings being perceptible the space of architecture and the equivalence of the space. That is the light, one of phenomenological elements, has been the first visual experience at birth. This study will concentrate on the importance of the phenomenological light especially indoors and study how architectural elements influence human beings with the light as one of the basic design factors for human life. That is exactly purpose of this research paper and this paper can make our lives worth living significant with the actively various uses inside spaces through the phenomenological light as a natural light in our human beings.

  • Space and figure are formed not by themselves but by the existence of light. It is important that plays a role as an intermediary of cognition which enables the formation of space and figure through Human's recognition in the process of design. Human perceive space and identity every basic form by the contrast of light and dark. The existence of light is very inclusive concept in the space, so space and form are completed by light. The change of based on time, place, and its amount acts as an important element Which can change the form of Space. In Space light doesn't work simply as light itself, but have a very close relation with Space, Form, Structure, Material, Color elements, Space is limited by physical form but human perceive space relatively by many other conditions, So same space can be experienced differently by the characters of light. Human can recognized and observe an object in the space as he processes information collected through light. In this process light make it possible for human to see the shape in space. therefore, the shape of space can get meanings when light exists. the space recognized by light is the mean that activates human activates in space.
