This study aims at comprehending the characteristics of fashion communications through case study about an art marketing that Prada develops in the field of modern fashion and providing theoretical materials on creativity-based art marketing and communication spread as expression strategy for brand philosophy and personality. For its research method, theoretical study was reviewed about art marketing and Prada's fashion philosophy and then cases on Prada's art marketing were analyzed according to their types. Prada's types in their art marketing are classified into several groups: support of art foundation and artists, differentiation via flagship store, application of image fashion, exhibition project, and cooperative work with different realms. From the above marketing strategies, we can find the values in that the brand image imbedded in enterprises with culture and art was contributable to set up the brand identity, that they were much beneficial to continuous activation for fashion culture and art fields, and that fashion communications of artistic emotion based on challenge and innovation were proposed. This fashion communication in Prada via way of art marketing is not just expression of Prada's luxury fashion brand but willingness to make their unique style from different facades. This also suggests the orientation that modern fashion should look forward to in finding a new way through cooperative relationship with other fields.
The Norwegian architect, Sverre Fehn who was born in 1924 and died in 2009 designed various buildings in his country. Since he studied architecture, he had been interested in the domestic/local architectural environment as well as international modern movement such as CIAM. Pavilion of the Nordic Nations designed in 1960s gave him world reputation for the peculiar design characteristic in which Scandinavian tradition and modern design were integrated. Fehn introduced his unique architectural philosophy that is called 'Platform Architecture'. This concept is based on the Fehn's long-term interest in the philosophy of Genius Loci and place-specificity. It consists of three theoretical elements: Tectonic of Place, Horizontality of Space and Visual-Perception by Light. This paper focuses on three case projects: Villa Busk in 1990, Norwegian Glacier Museum in 1991, Aukrust Museum in 1993. It is aimed to discover differences as well as similarities of the projects, and ultimately to summarize the cases under the light of 'Platform Architecture'. As a conclusion, it is found that each case project has unique spatializing method to organize the given place and program by 'Platform' architectural design. 'Platform Architecture' is still relevant in the contemporary architecture and interior design because of its deep consideration on place, environment and human.
The beauty of Korean architecture is in its natural beauty. Traditional residence of Korea is architecture that expresses modesty that is embraces the nature. Hanok is designed based on understanding of the nature and responding to it. For this reason, Hanok is a nature-friendly residential space. There are many unique traits of Hanok and one of them is that it is built based on scientific principles. Hanok, without using modern technology and machines, utilizes effectively the natural environment and the climate, e.g., the sun and the wind. Hanok, based on Korea's geographical condition and climate characteristics, have produced a variety of residential houses. The principle of Hanok is not to challenge the nature but embrace and accept it. Furthermore, in Hanok is embedded Korea's traditional philosophy and ideas and it is not simply a simple residential space but also a place for meditation and spiritual training. As the time passes, there are more researches are being done to enhance health in addition to traditional role of protection and convenience. Accordingly, more efforts are being made to bring the nature into human life. Hanok, the traditional residential form of Korea, has environment-friendly architecture and characteristics that could promote human health and enhance our life. Therefore, the nature-oriented philosophy and environmental elements of Hanok should be more systematically studied to take advantage of its architectural advantages and create healthier modern residential culture.
Unlike the era of manufacturing-oriented industrial economy in the past, the era of service economy has characteristics intangible goods center, knowledge universalization, and expansion of needs, and many things that are of the economy are changing. In the past, the change in the environment was not fast, so even after analyzing the changed environment and deriving the talent needed for the company, it was possible to maintain a talent for the organization for a long time, so it is not proactive to build and apply talent. It became difficult to manage effectively. Therefore, in this paper, we conducted a normative study for deriving a desirable talent model rather than a descriptive human resource model. Human resources image suitable for the modern service economy era, the modern economic society and modern spirit were analyzed and reflected. The model in which the two opposing members of the organization, managers and employees, interact intensely and balance dialectically. A desirable talent in a modern organization must play the role of a manager, and the management and talent models in a modern organization can be said to be connected to each other like the front and back sides of a coin. The philosophy of human resources was presented in five dimensions: human, historical, social, economic, and management. The human resource model from eight factors: mastery, rationality, wisdom, customer orientation, innovation, flexibility, autonomy, collaboration. This study suggested that general talent model may vary depending on the company's type, empirical follow-up studies are needed the talents in each company in the future.
Scandinavian design has special meaning in design history. Especially the Swedish designers have developed elegant and humane design style by combining the functionalism originated in Germany in the beginning of 20th century with their own crafts tradition. Now 'Swedish Modern' or 'Swedish Grace' is regarded as the most preferrable style for modern industrial society. American design as well as European design has been much changed under the influence of this democratic, simple and beautiful style. To find out the essential qualities of Swedish design style, I want to investigate the history of modern Swedish design and the design mechanism in Swedish corporates. Also I want to introduce the design education system in Sweden, which has contributed to developing contemporary Swedish design philosophy.
This study is on historiography of Modern Architecture since its beginning to present. As a critical review of the history of the writing history of Modern Architecture, this study tends to be a meta-history and criticism of historical text. This study try to analyse historiographical project of Modern architecture at specific phase since the beginning of modern architecture. The historiography of Modern architecture shows that writing a history is making a discourse of Modern architecture as a imaginative representation to define and justify Modernism in architecture. The analysis of canonic text since early 20th century proves that the history of writing history of Modern architecture played a critical role not only to shape of our ideal but the practice of architecture with a ideology construction in retrospect. With a name of truth or morality they made myths about the modernity in architecture. So we can find deep 'Hagelean Unconscious' in writing history of Modern architecture not even the first generation of historians but the second generation who were influenced by earlier writer in spite of their intention of revision and overcoming, which is in itself the key concept of Hegel's philosophy of History. Under this kind of 'operative' discourse our view point of Modern architecture were confined and the historiography of Modern architecture itself was narrowly defined as a kind of melodrama that a few architect and work of art matters. The rise of critical history fundamentally has changed the way of seeing and writing the history of Modern architecture. but it has also a new kind of dilemma as regard to writing history and involving practice. This review of historiography traces the texts of historians as like Pevsner, Giedion, Banham, Rowe, Tafuri, Frampton, and Curtis relating to different discours making. When we consider Benjamin's famous concept of constellation, writing history necessarily is a kind of montage making in time and we always need to recognize the historicity of historiography.
The purpose of this study is to study the inner meaning and formative with distorted and atypical Informel image, body image expressed in modern fashion. Method of the study is as follow. The study method examined philosophy of art 19th century?in order to consider interconnections between social and cultural characteristics of expressionistic abstract art, a form of Informel and changed physical style. Based on this method, the Informel image that appeared in the plastic arts in terms of artistic significance and aesthetic value was examined. Based on the above discussion on modern fashion Informel images were expressed in any formative characteristics were considered. The results of this study are as follows. Contingencies through the spontaneous act of art to transcend the image of atypical lines formed elements of coincidence, was developed. Liberation was expressed from liberation of physical boundaries and created outward expansion of the free formative. Atypical was organic forms pursuing spontaneous plasticity and diversity, and appeared in the form of distortion and deformation.

In a today, our concerns have been changed from a single material to relation, communication and time. The human life made up of science, technology, philosophy and art of the modern society can decide whoerness by connecting or replacing a comprehensive and many kinds. This one is exhibited in interior actively. The space of the pluralistic world is sustained by not simple and fixed relation but complex and flexible relation. And it is shown as an undecided phenomenon by effecting and modifying each other. In here, the boundary has a phase of undecided relation but at the same time it can make possibility to be abundant to infinity. The purpose of our study with considering the uncertainty of the boundary is to solve the discord of between division and unify of modern architecture space and suggest new way to be mediation and to occupy independent area.

As fashion is a visual symbol that reflects age and culture, cosmetics and beauty are other products of fashion that move the time. A dominant designer of 20th century Chanel does not merely stand for a design innovation of fashion industry that created a vogue. With liberation from corsets that cruelly exaggerated and suppressed female body, meaning of style in modern fashion could be found not only in clothing but also in make-up and hair style. Simplest possible comfort was aimed for, and philosophical concepts of minimalism, modernism and dandyism were incorporated with clothing, cosmetics, perfume, make-up and hair style to establish aesthetical concept of total fashion. Chanel thought of cosmetics as an accessory with essential role and although her philosophy on cosmetics and beauty is not as well known as her clothing style, the authors believe that understanding such philosophy will become an important stepping stone for accurately understanding Chanel style. The purpose of this study is to firstly illuminate the idea that cosmetic beauty can be studied with artistic and philosophical background in addition to its functional side and to secondly investigate the reason why Chanel style is being loved by women with such durability over time and space and with what tempo fashion is connected with cosmetic beauty culture and develops. Third, by studying the ways in which characteristics of Chanel's fashion philosophy are expressed in cosmetics and beauty culture, this study aims to accurately understand Chanel's philosophy on cosmetics and beauty. The meaning of this study can be found by showing the evidence that globalization of Korean fashion beauty culture can be achieved only when cosmetics and beauty culture moves with an intimate connection to clothing culture.
The so-called "Needham's Grand Question" (NGQ) can be formulated as why modern science was developed in Europe despite the earlier successes of science and technology in ancient China. Numerous answers have been proposed. In this review, it will be pointed out that traditional Chinese natural philosophy (TCNP) and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are in fact dealing with problems of highly complex dynamical systems of Nature and human beings. Due to the lack of mathematical machinery in dealing with such complex phenomena, a holistic approach was taken by ancient Chinese instead. It was very successful for the first eighteen centuries. In the recent three centuries, however, the reductionist and mechanistic viewpoints of Western natural philosophy, sciences, and medicine have been prevalent all over the world up to now. The main obstacle in preventing the advancement of TCM, TCNP and its sciences is actually the lacking of proper mathematical tools in dealing with complex dynamical systems. Fortunately, the tools are now available and a "chaotic wave theory of fractal continuum" has been proposed recently. To give the theory an operational meaning, three basic laws of TCNP are outlined. These three laws of wave/field interactions contrast readily with those of Newton's particle collisions. Via the proposed three laws, TCM, TCNP and its sciences can be unified under the same principles. Finally, an answer to NGQ can be accurately given. It is hoped that this review will help promoting a genuine understanding of natural philosophy, sciences, and medicine in an ecumenical way.
