A Protocol Compression Scheme for Improving Call Processing of Push-To-Talk Service over IMS (IMS망에서 PTT서비스의 통화 처리 성능 향상을 위한 프로토콜 압축 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a protocol compression scheme for enhancing the performance of call processing of PTT(Push-to-Talk) which is one of the important services in IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem), a next generation integrated wired/wireless packet communication network. To service the PTT on an IMS network, it should use the same call setup procedure as legacy Mobile and TRS(Trunked Radio System) networks and have a fast call setup time and enough communication bandwidth because a number of terminals should be able to exchange same data in real time. The proposed A+SigComp scheme reduces the initial call setup delay of SIP by about 10%, which is used by PTT service for call setup. In addition, the A+ROHC scheme is proposed to compress the header of RTP packets transferred during PTT voice transmission and, as a result, about 5% of increase in communication efficiency is observed.

  • LTE 이동통신서비스는 네트워크의 속도와 용량을 증가시킨 4세대 이동통신기술을 향항 3G 이동통신기술의 진화형 서비스로, 유럽주도로 개발된 GSM-WCDMA 기반기술로 발전된 서비스이다. 다만, 현재 국내에서 제공되고 있는 LTE는 3GPP에서 정하고 있는 4G 이동통신기술의 기술규격을 충족시키지 못하기 때문에 본격적인 4세대 이동통신(LTE-Advanced)과의 구별을 위해 3.9G 서비스라고 불리기도 한다. LTE는 VoIP, 비디오 스트리밍, 음악 다운로드, mobile TV 등 다양한 응용서비스의 제공이 가능하다. 국내에서 제공되는 LTE는 음성서비스는 3G 이동통신망을 통해 음성채널을 구성하고, 데이터 서비스만 LTE 이동통신망을 통해 제공하는 방식으로 제공되고 있지만, 향후에는 VoLTE 기술을 통해 음성서비스 제공하면서 LTE가 이동통신서비스의 주요 트랜드가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 하지만, 이러한 only LTE 서비스가 제공되는 경우, 현재의 법체계 하에서 몇몇 이슈가 발생할 것으로 예상된다. 첫째, VoLTE 서비스의 역무 및 해당 통신사업자 지위문제이다. 현행 전기통신사업법에서는 VoIP인 인터넷전화에 대해서 PC를 이용하지 않고 서비스가 제공되는 경우에는 기간통신역무로, PC를 통한 소프트폰 형식의 서비스에 대해서는 부가통신역무로 규정하고 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 기존 3G 이동통신 단말기의 가입자인증 모듈(USIM)의 이동성 보장 여부로서, 현재의 법체계는 USIM 잠금장치 해제(USIM unlock)를 3G 이동통신에 대해서 적용하도록 하고 있기 때문에, 이를 LTE서비스에도 적용할 수 있는지에 대한 논란이 일고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 LTE 서비스의 기술적 특징과 다양한 법제도적 이슈에 대해서 살펴보았다.

  • The MANET that can make autonomous distributed Network with Routing function has many differences than past wireless communication. For upcoming ALL-IP environment, MANET device should be connected with wired Internet Network and MANET is required to have a gateway to bridge two different networks to share information from any place. In this paper, Using the GMAHN Algorithm proposed Proactive, Reactive, Hybrid method that provides Inteface between Wired Internet network and MANET, we learned each method's the advantage and disadvantage through the various network environments. And also, we presented the optimization method of Hybrid combined Proactive with Reactive.

  • Due to the diversity of device performances and the possibility of providing multimedia service through many networks, media consumption environment has been changed in various ways. In recent, mobile services and broadcasting services started to provided through IP network. According to this flow changes, there was great demand for various multimedia services through heterogenous networks. To solve this problem, MMT was suggested as a standard of multimedia transport which replaces MPEG-2 TS(Transport Stream) which is used for HD(High Definition) transport. MMT can be provided various broadcasting based on IP through terrestrial, satellite, cable broadcasting networks, and also deliver multimedia through many networks at the same time. MMT was risen as a method of servicing UHD broadcasting. In this paper, we present an implementation of service architecture for hierarchical UHD broadcasting over heterogenous networks using MMT.

  • CDMA 이동전화 서비스가 활성화되면서 유선과 무선의 경계를 허무는 대표적인 서비스로 Wireless PABX 서비스가 등장하였다. PABX(사설교환기)가 설치된 지역에서는 이동전화 단말기가 무선전화기를 대체하며 이 지역을 벗어날 경우 일반 이동전화기로 동작하는 서비스이다. SKTelecom은 Wireless PABX(이하 모바일존 서비스) 서비스를 제공하기 위해 기존의 CDMA2000 1X 시스템의 확장 시스템과, ALL-IP 시스템의 Multi-vendor 시스템을 채택하였다. 이러한 Multi-vendor 시스템의 관리와 서비스 품질관리를 위하여 SKTelecom은 고장관리시스템 구성 관리시스템, 서비스 품질감시 시스템 등의 망관리시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문은 이동전화 서비스와 모바일존 서비스의 차이점을 분석하고, 고장/구성/품질관리 시스템을 통한 효율적인 서비스 관리방안을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, we describe an arrival time guidance system of circular vehicles using GPS, CDMA and TCP/IP technology. The on-board equipment consists of a GPS receiver and a PDA phone. The on-board equipment sends the current position data of the vehicle to the positioning server via CDMA and Internet. The server predicts the arrival time to the next bus-stop. Any user can lookup the current position and the predicted arrival time of the vehicle utilizing his mobile phone, PDA phone, or Web.

  • 최근 모바일 시스템은 고성능 단말기의 보급과 발달한 인터넷 환경으로 인하여 점점 방대해지고 복잡해지고 있으며, 특히 많은 회사들이 기업경쟁력 향상의 극대화,고객 서비스 만족 극대화 등의 이슈로 무선인터넷망을 활용한 다양한 데이타를 필요로 하는 모바일시스템을 빠르게 도입하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 데이타를 활용함에 있어 불가피하게 기업시스템에 접근해야 함에 있어 기업 IP 정보등 사용자 정보가 노출되는 문제점을 분석하여 모바일 에이전트를 활용하여 이것을 해결할 하나의 모델을 제시함으로써 편리하고 안정적인 응용을 보이고자 한다.

  • This paper proposes the design of user centric pavilion information guide system based on mobile device such as PDA. which is composed of system interface factors as user wants. The suggested information guide system is convenient for user carrying because it is based on PDA mobile device and the used liquid browser system makes all data information displayed on a small screen in contrast with the other browser system. Indeed, factors of system interface can be re-composed by user interaction. And this system can effectively provide the detail information about the exhibited objects as various media data such as text, image, voice, music, video etc. The proposed system is made up of media database server. mobile system control server and mobile system interface which accepts user interaction and displays the information. Each system is networked based on TCP/IP and uses XML (extensible Markup Language) and JAVA 2 micro edition to be able to update data. This feature enhances a wide use to be able to load this system on the any mobile device.

  • Recently, due to the rapid advances of mobile communication, multimedia service can be provided by mobile devices. Cellular network tends to uses SIP as a call setup protocol in order to provide various multimedia service to consumers. Cellular network holds the characteristic of higher BER(Bit Error Rate), narrower bandwidth than the wired network. The value of SIP RTI(Retransmission Time interval) based on the wired network decreases a network efficiency and increases a call setup delay over cellular network. By using NS-2 simulator, we show new SIP RTI value adequate over cellular network. We design and implement home network by using the modified SIP that is suitable for cellular network.

  • IPTV(Internet Protocol Television)is the point in commercial and broadcast content from the numerous channels that are growing exponentially, Many people with mobile devices anywhere, anytime you want to use IPTV, demand will increase. Numerous channels for collecting information about EPG (Electronic Program Guide) service, IP (Internet Protoco) communications using a fast search of content for broadcast EPG is time to take advantage of the service. Using the current wired network, the Android-based IPTV services to take advantage of the EPG in the mobile environment to provide an environment being studied, and Country of the European digital broadcast standard DVB-MHP standard is followed by subsequent research and development of the EPG service is required. In this study, using the existing wired network, IPTV EPG service information of the channel in a mobile environment user-friendly as possible by providing channels for EPG service information to users quickly and easily search for content to provide an environment and Android-based mobile IPTV environment to take advantage of the EPG service channels of broadcast channels with in the EPG service for users to gather information retrieval system is proposed.
