초등수학교육에 적용된 혼합연구법의 특성 및 시사점에 대한 연구 (Analysis on Mixed Methods Research in Mathematics Education: A Qualitative Approach)

  • 본 연구는 수학교육연구에서 적용되고 있는 혼합연구법이 질적연구와 양적연구를 어떻게 결합하여 활용하고 있는가를 탐색해 보고자 한다. 구체적으로 수학교육분야에서 질적연구와 양적연구의 혼합이 방법론적으로 어떠한 시사점과 과제를 줄 수 있는가를 탐구하고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 한국초등수학교육학회에서 발간하는 '초등수학교육학회지'에 2015년 게재된 전체 32편의 논문 중, 혼합연구법을 적용한 4편의 논문을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 기존의 선행연구들에서는 혼합연구에 대한 분석 결과를, 일반적인 양적연구의 결과와 유사하게 비교 항목별로 수치화시키며 양적인 정보를 중심으로 간략하게 설명하는 경향이 있어 왔다. 이와는 대조적으로, 본 연구에서는 질적 연구자의 관점에서 질적연구와 양적연구의 장점을 최적화할 수 있는 방안을 상세하게 논의하는 형식으로 분석 결과와 시사점을 제시하고 있다.

  • The purposes of the present article are to suggest pragmatism as offering a philosophical paradigm for mixed methods research, to explain the fundamental principles of mixed methodology, and to present examples of research for understanding how to apply it to family studies. Mixed methods research is the class of research where the researcher mixes or combines quantitative and qualitative techniques, methods, approaches, concepts or language into a single study. Mixed methodology has its roots in pragmatism, which is a new philosophical paradigm to criticize the traditional dualism and to endorse eclecticism and pluralism. The present article argues that mixed methods research has the potential to answer a broader and more complete range of research questions, and to provide strong evidence for a conclusion through convergence and corroboration of the qualitative and the quantitative methods.

  • Researching the phenomenon and answering research questions to generate an integrated management system to manage the post-disaster reconstruction phase calls for a well-created or structured framework for the research methodology plus a mixed method. Aim and Purpose: To produce an Integrated Management of Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems, a Disaster Management framework for Post-Disaster Reconstruction Projects Management and Empirically Validate the Framework. Research methodology and mixed methods framework study activities are the following stages: Literature Review, Formulating Research Methodology and Mixed Methods, The Research Aim and Objectives, The Research Question Statements - Mixed Methods (Qualitative and Quantitative), Planning and Procedures for Participants and Service Users' Involvements, Designing of Questionnaires and Surveys Research Question, Using Mixed Method Design Data Collection and Analysis with NVIVO and Final Development of the Integrated Management System for Post-Disaster Construction Management Phase, Recommendation and Conclusion. OBJECTIVES: Explore the awareness and practice of environmental, occupational health, safety, and quality management systems, as well as disaster management practices for the post-disaster reconstruction phase and routine reconstruction. Furthermore, the mixed methods part addresses the research aim and objectives. Then, it facilitates the achievement of the research goals and contribution to the knowledge and development of an integrated management system for the post-disaster reconstruction management phase. The end addresses the significance of the research methodology and mixed methods framework developed.

The Practical Research of Mixed Reality for Photographic Darkroom Education

  • With the continuous development and progress of science and technology, the field of mixed reality applications has involved scientific research, medicine, entertainment, education, information dissemination, and people's daily lives; This paper will focus on the application of mixed reality in the field of education and teaching, relying on the characteristics of mixed reality technology. This article will use the combination of mixed reality and smart glasses to fully consider the characteristics of photography darkroom teaching, design and produce a mixed reality photography darkroom teaching software, and explore the feasibility of the application of mixed reality in teaching. This paper will use literature research methods, practical research methods, and survey methods as the main methods of research topics to determine the importance, feasibility, and necessity of the relevant theories studied in this paper. The application of mixed reality technology in photography darkroom teaching can not only solve many problems in the existing darkroom teaching methods, but also develop and expand students' Independent learning ability. It is concluded from this that mixed reality teaching software has the feasibility of sustainable development, which brings particular application value to the development and research of other education and art discipline software.

수학교육연구 및 혼합 연구방법 동향 - 최근 10년간 발표된 국내 학술지 논문을 중심으로 - (Trends of Mathematics Education Research and Mixed Methods - Focusing on Domestic Mathematics Education Journals for the Last 10 years)

  • 본 연구는 2003년 1월부터 2013년 9월까지 국내 등재(후보) 학술지에 발표된 문헌 연구를 제외한 총 709편의 논문을 대상으로 연구 동향과 연구방법의 동향을 분석하고, 그 중에서 혼합 연구방법을 사용한 논문 중에서 연구단계별 혼합유형을 좀 더 면밀히 조사하였다. 그 결과, 연구방법의 동향은 질적 연구와 양적 연구가 대부분이고 혼합 연구가 10%미만으로 적었다. 또한 혼합 연구방법을 사용한 논문들을 조사한 결과, 혼합유형은 양적 연구방법과 질적 연구방법이 동등하게 사용된 논문이 대부분이었고 혼합 연구에 사용된 양적 연구방법의 동향은 기술통계가 가장 많았으며 질적 연구방법의 동향은 이론 기반 개념적 틀의 사용이 매우 저조했다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 본 논문은 수학교육논문에 연구방법이 어떻게 사용되었으며 앞으로 수학교육 연구에서의 연구방법의 다양성에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

A Comparison of Influence Diagnostics in Linear Mixed Models

  • Standard estimation methods for linear mixed models are sensitive to influential observations. However, tools and concepts for linear mixed model diagnostics are rudimentary until now and research is heavily demanded in linear mixed models. In this paper, we consider two diagnostics to evaluate the effects of individual observations in the estimation of fixed effects for linear mixed models. Those are Cook's distance and COVRATIO. Results of our limited simulation study suggest that the Cook's distance is not good statistical quantity in linear mixed models. Also calibration point for COVRATIO seems to be quite conservative.

초등 수학교육 관련 혼합 연구에서 적용된 질적 연구 방법에 대한 분석 (Qualitative Analysis on Mixed Research in the field of Mathematics for Elementary Students)

  • 본 연구는 수학교육에서 혼합 연구방법(양적 연구방법과 질적 연구방법을 혼합한)을 활용한 연구에서 질적 연구 방법이 어떻게 적용되고 있는지를 분석하고, 질적 접근의 적용이 연구 목적 성취에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 탐색하고 논의하고자 한다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 한국수학교육학회의 초등수학교육 학회지에 2012년 게재된 전체 16편의 논문 중, 혼합 연구법을 활용한 논문 5편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 비교 항목별 분석 결과를 양화된 수치로 간략하게 제시하던 기존의 혼합 연구물에 대한 분석 연구와는 달리, 본 연구는 질적 연구자의 관점에서, 자료 수집 및 자료 분석 방법, 연구 참여자 및 샘플링 선정 등을 중심으로 심도 있게 분석하여 그 결과와 시사점을 질적으로 제시하고 있다.

Mixed Methods Research on the Intercultural Sensitivity of Summer Program Participants; Comparison of US Participants and Korean Language Partners

  • This study was conducted as part of a summer Korean language and culture program at a university in Korea, aimed at examining the changes in intercultural sensitivity among American students who participated in the program, as well as the Korean students who served as their language partners. The research utilized a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. To derive research findings, pre- and post-program Intercultural Sensitivity Scale surveys were administered to participating students and semi-structured interview data were collected from a randomly selected group of six students. The research findings indicated that among a total of twenty-seven students including both American and Korean students, significant changes in intercultural sensitivity were observed in the domain of Interaction Engagement. Furthermore, fourteen American students showed significant changes in their Interaction Confidence, while the Korean students who participated as language partners did not exhibit significant changes in the five subdomains of intercultural sensitivity.

관련작업을 고려한 혼합모델 조립라인 밸런싱 (Mixed Model Assembly Line Balancing with the Related Task Consideration)

  • This paper deals with the problem of mixed model assembly line balancing. In mixed model assembly lines, tsks should be assigned to stations in such a manner that all stations have approximately the same amount of work on a production cycle basis. Further in balancing assembly lines, the related tasks, the performing task side and the team tasks should be considered to improve work methods, to give more job satisfaction to workers, and to allow greater flexibility in the design of assembly lines. In this paper, the heuristic dispatch assignment rule is developed to assign evenly tasks of each model to all stations. The heuristic method based on the assignment rule developed is presented for mixed model assembly line balancing with the considerations of the related tasks, the performing task side, and the team tasks. The proposed method is analyzed, and compared with other methods for line balancing.

ZrO2의 혼합방법 차이가 ZTA의 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Difference in Mixing Methods of Zirconia on Mechanical Properties of ZTA)

  • In this study, intermediate-mixed powders were prepared by loading zirconia powders initially in a ball-mill jar and loading alumina powders afterward; the initial-mixed powders were produced by loading zirconia and alumina powders together in the ball-mill jar. The effect of such differences in mixing method on the mechanical properties was investigated. In intermediate-mixed powders, the volume fraction of large particles slightly increased and, simultaneously, zirconia particles formed agglomerates that, due to early ball-mill loading of the zirconia powders only, were more dispersed than were the initial-mixed powders. For the intermediate-mixed powders, zirconia agglomerates were destroyed more quickly than were initial-mixed powders, so the number of dispersed zirconia particles rose and the inhibitory effect of densification due to the addition of a second phase was more obvious. In the microstructure of intermediate-mixed powders, zirconia grains were homogeneously dispersed and grain growth by coalescence was found to occur with increasing sintering temperature. For the initial-mixed powders, large zirconia grains formed by localized early-densification on the inside contacts of some zirconia agglomerates were observed in the early stages of sintering. The intermediate-mixed powders had slightly lower hardness values as a whole but higher fracture toughness compared to that of the initial-mixed powders.
