항공보안장비 성능인증제의 고도화 방안에 관한 연구 (Aviation Security Equipments Certification System in Korea: Suggestions for Improvement)

  • Purpose: This study was performed for advancement of aviation security equipments certification system. Methods: We investigated aviation security equipments certification-related registrations and the latest research trends of explosive detection technologies. Based on the literature studies, we draw the critical issues of the aviation security equipment certification system and suggested improvement direction. Results: We found some inaccuracies of the definition of explosive trace detection equipments, accreditation review committee, and performance evaluation test method. These problems should be modified to suit being practical. Conclusion: The present results would be useful for basic data for modifying aviation security equipments certification systems.

  • The pre-heat free consumables for GMAW, SAW and FCAW processes that matches the Cu-bearing PFS-700 steel which has yield strength over 700MPa were developed and evaluated to see the suitability in military such as submarine and battle ship. Explosion bulge test in underwater was developed and applied to see the reliability of welded structure. All welding was conducted without pre-heat before welding, the interpass temperature was below $150^{\circ}C$ for all welding conditions. Tensile strength for the weld metal in GMAW, SAW and FCAW process is 887MPa, 875MPa and 813MPa, respectively, these values are similar to the base metal of PFS-700 steel of 838MPa. EBT results in GMAW, SAW and FCAW show 14.0%, 14.02% and 15.9% reduction of thickness without generation of crack, respectively and stand-off distance was set up properly to have over 14.0% reduction of thickness. Through EBT results, the developed new consumables are applicable to the weapon systems such as submarine and battle ship.

  • Free-Flooded Ring (FFR) transducer array for use in Sonar system can be driven with large amplitude in a wide frequency band due to its structural characteristics, in which two resonances of a ring mode (1st radial mode) and an inner cavity vibration mode occur in a low frequency band. Since its sound wave generation characteristics are not influenced by the water pressure, the FFR transducer array is widely used in the deep sea. So FFR has been recognized as a low-frequency active sound source and has received much attention ever since. In order to utilize the FFR transducer array for SONAR systems in military and industrial applications, its equivalent electric circuit model is necessary especially to design the matching circuit between the driving power amplifier and the FFR transducer array. Thus this paper proposes the equivalent electric circuit model of FFR transducer array by using measured values of parameter, and suggest the improved method of parameter identification. Finally it verifies the effectiveness of the proposed circuit model of FFR transducer array by experimental measurements.

터보등화를 이용한 직접대역확산통신 기반의 은밀 수중통신 성능분석 (Turbo Equalization for Covert communication in Underwater Channel)

  • 전송되는 정보들의 가로채기 확률을 감소시키기 위한 피감청 기술 중 대표적인 대역확산통신 기법을 적용함으로써 통신 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 최적의 은밀 수중음향통신 시스템의 모델을 제안한다. 대역확산 통신 된 신호의 레벨이 낮아져 주변의 배경소음과 같은 레벨로 전송하기 때문에 피탐지 확률이 감소하고 은밀성의 특징을 갖게 된다. 본 논문에서는 BCJR(Bahl, Cocke, Jelinek, Raviv) 복호방법과 대역 확산 기법 중 직접 수열 대역 확산 기법을 적용하였으며, 은밀 수중 통신에서 고려되는 송수신 모델은 크게 두 가지로 나뉘는데, 경판정 기반의 송수신 모델과 반복기반의 터보 등화 모델의 성능을 시뮬레이션과 호수 실험을 통해 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

새롭게 개발된 항재밍 위성항법장치 점검 시스템 설계 및 검증 (Design and Verification of Newly Developed Anti-jamming GPS Test System)

  • 현재까지 개발된 항재밍 위성항법장치는 주로 대형 무반향 챔버 및 필드시험을 통하여 검증하였다. 대형 무반향 챔버를 이용할 경우 노이즈 등 외부환경에 독립적으로 장비를 검증할 수 있는 장점이 있지만 높은 비용과 챔버 시설 가용 문제 등의 단점이 있다. 그리고 필드시험의 경우 실제 재밍환경과 유사하게 시험할 수 있는 장점이 있지만 군용장비의 경우 보안 문제 및 항상 동일한 조건으로 시험을 할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 점검 시스템의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 항재밍 위성항법장치 점검 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안하는 점검시스템은 크게 소형 챔버, 재밍 분배기, 재밍신호 발생기, 위성 모의기로 구성된다. 소형 챔버에는 다수 재밍을 모의하기 위해 다수의 안테나를 내부에 설치하였고, 다수의 재밍 신호를 제어하기 위한 재밍 분배기를 새롭게 설계하였다. 점검 시스템의 자체 성능 시험과 항재밍 위성항법장치와의 연동 시험을 통해 제안한 점검 시스템의 신뢰성을 확인하였다.

12m × 3m 스틸 모듈러 시스템의 보-중간기둥 접합부 구조성능 (Structural Performance of Beam-Middle Column Connection of 12m × 3m Steel Modular System)

  • 최근 들어 군막사 및 학교건축물의 증축 등 공사기간의 최소화가 가장 중요시 되는 건설프로젝트에 모듈러 시스템이 적용되고 있다. 기존 모듈러 시스템의 표준모듈은 ${6m\times3m}$로 모듈간 접합부에 기둥이 자주 중복되어 부재수와 벽체두께가 증가한다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 ${12m\times3m}$ 모듈을 제안하였다. 이 모듈을 실현하기 위해 필수적인 다양한 중간기둥-보 접합상세를 제안하였으며, 실험과 해석을 통해 기둥-보 접합부의 최대하중과 파괴모드를 평가하였다. 해석 및 실험결과는 유한요소해석을 통해 비교적 정확히 접합부의 최대하중과 파괴모드를 예측할 수 있음을 보여준다. 제안된 상세 중 일부는 기둥의 설계하중을 상회하는 강도를 보유하고 있어, ${12m\times3m}$모듈의 보-중간기둥 접합상세로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

New Approach for Detecting Leakage of Internal Information; Using Emotional Recognition Technology

  • Currently, the leakage of internal information has emerged as one of the most significant security concerns in enterprise computing environments. Especially, damage due to internal information leakage by insiders is more serious than that by outsiders because insiders have considerable knowledge of the system's identification and password (ID&P/W), the security system, and the main location of sensitive data. Therefore, many security companies are developing internal data leakage prevention techniques such as data leakage protection (DLP), digital right management (DRM), and system access control, etc. However, these techniques cannot effectively block the leakage of internal information by insiders who have a legitimate access authorization. The security system does not easily detect cases which a legitimate insider changes, deletes, and leaks data stored on the server. Therefore, we focused on the insider as the detection target to address this security weakness. In other words, we switched the detection target from objects (internal information) to subjects (insiders). We concentrated on biometrics signals change when an insider conducts abnormal behavior. When insiders attempt to leak internal information, they appear to display abnormal emotional conditions due to tension, agitation, and anxiety, etc. These conditions can be detected by the changes of biometrics signals such as pulse, temperature, and skin conductivity, etc. We carried out experiments in two ways in order to verify the effectiveness of the emotional recognition technology based on biometrics signals. We analyzed the possibility of internal information leakage detection using an emotional recognition technology based on biometrics signals through experiments.

차량 항법용 자이로 센서의 특성분석 및 혼합항법 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic Analysis of the Gyro Sensor and Development of Hybrid Navigation Algorithm for the Car Navigation)

  • Today, the number of vehicle increased rapidly with the development of modem science technology, and it caused serious problems; traffic jam, accident and pollution etc. One of the solve methods these problems it is necessary to develope the vehicle navigation systems and it is already widely used to in field of military etc. Vehicle navigation system can increase the efficiency of traffic flow and offer at a drivers at a best driving conditions. In the vehicle navigation, most important thing is to measure of correct position. There are classifiable as three types. The first is G.P.S., method at artificial satellites which measures the present position and velocity any time, any where in the world at the same time. Secondly, a vehicle can determine its position and path information with a gyroscope and odometer signal, which is called Dead-Reckoning method. Thirdly, hybrid navigation system is the combined of two methods to make utilize the advantage of each navigation system. In the paper, we are analyzed to characteristics at a gyro sensor and introduce at a composition of hybrid navigation system which is combined with the G.P.S., D.R., and map-matching technique. We analyze deeply for the Map-Matching method and explain the coordinate transformation for G.P.S., and the Hybrid navigation algorithm is developed and experimented. Finally, we conclude and comment about our road test results.

항공기 투명체의 편각개념 설계 및 측정 시스템 개발 (Concept Design of Angular Deviation and Development of Measurement System for Transparency in Aircraft)

  • TA-50 항공기에 적용되는 투명체의 편각은 실제목표와 투명체를 통해 조종사가 인식하는 목표와 차이를 유발시켜, 부정확한 조준 및 이로 인한 무장계통의 정확도를 저하시킨다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 TA-50 항공기에서는 원드실드 투명체의 편각을 실측하여 편각 계수 형태로 항공기의 통합임무시현컴퓨터에 입력, 각도 편차를 보정하여 전방상향 시현기에서 목표물에 정확히 조준되도록 한다. 이러한 작동원리를 실전에 적용하기 위해 본 연구에서는 편각 자동측정장비를 국내 최초 독자적으로 개발하였다. 또한 편각 유도공식 산출 등 개발개념 및 운영 체계와 장비의 신뢰성 검증을 위한 정확성 및 정밀성에 대한 내용을 다룬다. 본 연구를 통해 개발한 장비의 정확성은 최종 판정기준인 1% 미만으로 매우 적합하였으며, 정밀성 또한 최종 판정기준을 모두 만족하여 매우 적합하다는 결과를 얻었다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 편각 자동측정장비는 우수한 품질로 입증되어 캐노피 투명체의 국방규격에 등재되어 사용되고 있다.

Heterogeneous Sensor Data Analysis Using Efficient Adaptive Artificial Neural Network on FPGA Based Edge Gateway

  • We propose a FPGA based design that performs real-time power-efficient analysis of heterogeneous sensor data using adaptive ANN on edge gateway of smart military wearables. In this work, four independent ANN classifiers are developed with optimum topologies. Out of which human activity, BP and toxic gas classifier are multiclass and ECG classifier is binary. These classifiers are later integrated into a single adaptive ANN hardware with a select line(s) that switches the hardware architecture as per the sensor type. Five versions of adaptive ANN with different precisions have been synthesized into IP cores. These IP cores are implemented and tested on Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA using Microblaze test system and LabVIEW based sensor simulators. The hardware analysis shows that the adaptive ANN even with 8-bit precision is the most efficient IP core in terms of hardware resource utilization and power consumption without compromising much on classification accuracy. This IP core requires only 31 microseconds for classification by consuming only 12 milliwatts of power. The proposed adaptive ANN design saves 61% to 97% of different FPGA resources and 44% of power as compared with the independent implementations. In addition, 96.87% to 98.75% of data throughput reduction is achieved by this edge gateway.
