여과형 비점오염 처리장치의 오염물질 제거특성 및 역세척 분석 (The Performance of Pollutant Removal Using Nonpoint Treatment Filtration Device and Analysis of the Filter Backwashing Effect)

  • Hydrocyclone is widely used in industry, for its simple design, high capacity, low maintenance and low operational cost. The objective of this study is to develop hydrocyclone coagulation and filtration system. The system is made of hydrocyclone ballasted coagulation with polyaluminium chloride silicate (PACS) and upflow filter to treat micro particles in urban storm runoff. Roadside sediment particles (< $200{\mu}m$) was mixed with tap water to make various turbid suspensions to simulate urban storm runoff. The filter cartridge was filled with polyethylene media system and ran 1hr per everyday and total operation time were 8.19hrs and backwashing everyday after end of operation. The operation condition of flowrate was $8.2{\sim}11.9m^3/day$ (mean $10.1m^3/day$) and surface overflow rate (SOR) based on filter surface area was $45.5{\sim}65.9m^3/m^2/day$ (mean $55.7m^3/m^2/day$). The range of PACS dosage concentration was 14.0~31.5 mg/L. As the results of operation, the range of removal efficiency of turbidity, SS were 81.0~95.8% (mean 89.5%) 81.8~99.0% (mean 91.4%), respectively. An increase of filtration basin retention time brought on increased of removal efficiency of turbidity and SS, and increase of SOR brought on decreased of removal efficiency. During the first flush in urban area, storm runoff have an high concentration of SS (200~600 mg/L) and the filtration bed becomes clogged and decreased of removal efficiency. Backwashing begins when the drainage pipe valve at the filtration tank bottom is completely open (backwashing stage 1). Backwashing stage 2 was using air bubbles and water jet washing the media for 5 mins and open the drainage valve. After backwashing stage 1, 2, 61.83~64.04%, 18.53~27.51% of SS loading was discharged from filtration tank, respectively. Discharged SS loading from effluent was 7.12~14.79% and the range of residual SS loading in fliter was 2.26~5.00%. The backwashing effects for turbidity, SS were 89.5%, 91.4%, respectively. The hydrocyclone coagulation and filtration with backwashing system, which came out to solve the problems of the costly exchange filter media, and low efficiency of removing micro particles of filter type nonpoint treatment devices, is considered as an alternative system.

센서용 거대자기저항 스핀밸브소자의 열처리 효과 (Post-annealing Effect of Giant Magnetoresistance-Spin Valve Device for Sensor)

  • 셀(cell) 단위의 생체분자의 자성특성 검출을 위한 거대자기저항-스핀밸브(giant magnetoresistance-spin valves; GMR-SV) 바이오센서로서 미세 패턴된 모양에 따라 길이 방향과 폭 방향 용이축에 의존하는 자기저항 특성을 연구하였다. 바이오센서(biosensor)로서 사용할 스핀밸브 다층구조는 glass/NiO/NiFe/CoFe/Cu/CoFe/NiFe 이었다. 자성 다층박막의 일축이방성을 만들기 위해 증착시와 소자 패턴닝 후 진공 열처리를 $200^{\circ}C$에서 300 Oe 정도 외부자기장을 인가하였다. 형상자기이방성 효과를 고려하여 광 리소그래피 과정으로 얻은 미세 활성영역 패턴 사이즈는 $2{\times}5{\mu}m^2$로 정하였다. 2단자법으로 길이방향의 센싱전류와 폭 방향의 고정층의 용이축 방향 각도에 의존하는 자장민감도의 변화는 바이오센서 소자로서 활용에 중요한 요인임을 확인하였다.

랩온어칩 내부 미세유동제어를 위한 새로운 유동제어기법 (A New Flow Control Technique for Handling Infinitesimal Flows Inside a Lab-On-a-Chip)

  • A syringe pump or a device using high electric voltage has been used for controlling flows inside a LOC (lab-on-a-chip). Compared to LOC, however, these microfluidic devices are large and heavy that they are burdensome for a portable ${\mu}-TAS$ (micro total analysis system). In this study, a new flow control technique employing pressure regulators and pressure chambers was developed. This technique utilizes compressed air to control the micro-scale flow inside a LOC, instead of a mechanical actuator or an electric power supply. The pressure regulator controls the output air pressure by adjusting the variable resistor attached. We checked the feasibility of this system by measuring the flow rate inside a capillary tube of $100{\mu}m$ diameter in the Re numbers ranged from 0.5 to 50. In addition, the performance of this flow control system was compared with that of a conventional syringe pump. The developed flow control system was found to show superior performance, compared with the syringe pump. It maintains automatically the: air pressure inside a pressure chamber whether the flow inside the capillary tube is on or off. Since the flow rate is nearly proportional to the resistance, we can control flow in multiple microchannels precisely. However, the syringe pump shows large variation of flow rate when the fluid flow is blocked in the microchannel.

이중구조 거대자기저항-스핀밸브 박막의 자기등방성 영역분포에 관한 연구 (Regional Distribution of Isotropy Magnetic Property of Dual-type Giant Magnetoresistance-Spin Valve Multilayer)

  • NiFe/Cu/NiFe/IrMn/NiFe/Cu/NiFe 이중구조 GMR-SV 박막의 열처리 조건에 의존하는 자기등방성 영역분포 특성을 조사하였다. 진공 챔버내에서 이중구조 GMR-SV 박막을 후열처리 온도를 조절하여 면상에서 강자성체 층의 자화용이축 회전을 유도하였다. 자유층과 고정층의 자화용이축 방향에 의존하는 이중구조 GMR-SV 박막의 자기저항곡선은 외부자기장의 각도를 $0^{\circ}$에서 $360^{\circ}$까지 변화시킨 후 외부자기장의 세기에 따라서 측정하였다. 후열처리 온도가 $107^{\circ}C$일 때, 외부자기장의 방향이 $0^{\circ}$에서 $90^{\circ}$까지 영역에서 자장감응도가 약 1.52 %/Oe인 자기등방성 특성을 보였다. 이러한 특성은 고정층과 자유층을 형성하는 강자성층들이 면상에서 서로 직교한 결과임을 나타내며, 자기등방성 GMR-SV 박막 소자는 임의 방향으로 자화된 마이크로 자성비드를 검출할 수 있는 고감도 바이오센서로 사용할 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • Micro hydraulic power generation of which the output is less or equal to a 100kW is attracting considerable attention. This is because of its small, simple, renewable, and abundant energy resources. By using a small hydropower generator of which main concept is based on using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines, energy which was initially wasted by use of a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline, is collected by turbine in the hydropower generator. A propeller shaped hydroturbine has been used in order to use this renewable pressure energy. In this study, in order to acquire basic design data of tubular type hydraulic turbine, output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the flow coefficient are examined in detail. Moreover influences of pressure and velocity distributions with the variations of runner vane angle on turbine performance are investigated by using a commercial CFD code.

  • OBD-II regulations are already effective in many countries. The California Air Resources Board(CARB) first issued regulations in 1985 for the 1988 model year, known as OBD-I, and required the vehicle's engine management computer to warn the driver by means of a dash-mounted light if a malfunction occurred in either the oxygen sensor, the exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) valve or the evaporative emission system purge solenoid, and to store information on troubles that have no recurrent characteristics. This paper presents two methods of wireless monitoring OBD signal, which is one of the ECU output for self diagnostic measurement. RF module is used to monitor ECU's Self diagnostic signal remotely. Two kinds of measurement systems which are based on micro-controller(80C196KC) for portable detection and PC for sever are considered for receiving the RF signal. Therefore, possibility of real-time monitoring of ECU's self diagnostic signal remotely is verified on this paper.

  • The combustion phenomena of a reciprocating engine is one of the most important processes affecting performance and emissions. One effective way to improve the engine combustion is to control the motion of the charge inside a cylinder by means of optimum induction system design, because the flame speed is mainly determined by the turbulence at compression(TDC) process in S.I. engine. It is believed that the tumble and swirl motion generated during intake breaks down into small-scale turbulence in the compression stroke of the cycle. However, the exact nature of their relationship is not well known. This paper describes cycle resolved LDV measurement of turbulent flow inside the cylinder of a 4-valve engine under motoring(non-firing) conditions, and studies the effect of intake port configurations on the turbulence characteristics using following parameters ; Eulerian temporal autocorrelation coefficient, turbulence energy spectral density function, Taylor micro time scale, integral time scale, and integral length scale.

운전자 피로 경감을 위한 향 분사 시스템의 적응 특성 분석 (Analysis of adaptation character of an aroma blast device for reduction of fatigue of drivers)

  • 본 연구에서는 운전자의 피로감을 경감시킬 수 있는 자동차용 향 분사 시스템을 개발하였다. 또한 향 분사시스템의 운전자 적응 특성을 분석하였다. 향 분사 시스템은 휘발된 향을 산소 (공기)와 혼합시켜 외부로 분사하는 방식을 이용하였다. 8051 마이크로프로세서를 이용하여 2-Port Solenoid Valve의 on/off 시간을 변경 가능하도록 하였고 이를 통해 향 분사량을 제어할 수 있도록 하였다. 평균나이 22$\pm$2세인 남녀 대학생 20명을 대상으로 네 가지 천연 향 (쟈스민 30%, 쟈스민 50%, 페파민트 30%, 페파민트 50%)을 사용하여 향의 적응화가 발생하는 시간과 향에 대한 적응화가 제거되는 시간을 결정하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 쟈스민 30% 향의 적응화 발생시간은 1분 28초, 적응화 제거시간은 3분 15초, 쟈스민 50% 향의 적응화 발생시간은 2분 41초, 적응화 제거시간은 4분 3초, 페파민트 30% 향의 적응화 발생시간은 1분 47초, 적응화 제거시간은 2분 59초, 페파민트 50% 향의 적응화 발생시간은 1분 58초, 적응화 제거시간은 4분 11초였다.

국산 $^{18}F$-FDG Auto Sysnthesizer의 수율 향상과 성능 개선 (Improved Radiochemical Yields, Reliability and Improvement of Domestic $^{18}F$-FDG Auto Synthesizer)

  • Purpose: 2-[$^{18}F$]Fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose ([$^{18}F$]FDG) particularly plays as a important role in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in nuclear medicine. Domestic [$^{18}F$]FDG auto synthesizers are installed in Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) at June 2008, these modules were known that it's synthetic yields were guaranteed in average $45{\pm}5%$ so far. To improve yields and convenience of domestic [$^{18}F$]FDG auto synthesizer, numerous trials in reaction time, base concentration, pressure and temperature were performed to increase [$^{18}F$]FDG yields. Materials and Methods: Several synthetic factors (temperature, time and pressure) and shortcoming were corrected based on many evaporation test. Syringe dispensing of tetra-butylammonium bicarbonate (TBAB) was replaced with micro pipette to prepare tetrabutyl ammonium fluoride salt ([$^{18}F$]TBAF). Troublesome refill of liquid nitrogen every 2 hours which was used to protect vacuum system was changed to charcoal cartridge, base guard filter. To monitor the volume of delivered $[^{18}O]OH_2$ from cyclotron by surveillance camera, we set up the volumetric vial on the cover of the module. In addition to, the recovery vial was added in [$^{18}F$]FDG production system to recover [$^{18}F$]FDG loss due to the leak of valve ($V_{13,14}$) in [$^{18}F$]FDG purification process. Results: When we used micro pipette for adding TBAB ($30\;{\mu}L$ in 12% $H_2O$ in acetonitrile), this quantitative dispensation has enabled to improve $5.5{\pm}1.7%$ residual fluorine-18 activity in fluorine separation cartridge compared to syringe adding. Besides, the synthetic yields of [$^{18}F$]FDG has increased $58{\pm}2.6%$ (n=19), $58{\pm}2.9%$ (n=14), $60%{\pm}2.5%$ (n=17) for 3 months. The life cycle of charcoal cartridge and base vacuum was 3 months prior to filling liquid nitrogen every 2 hours and additional side separator can prevent pump corrosion by organic solvent. After setting of volumetric indicator vial, the operator can easily monitor the total volume of irradiated $[^{18}O]OH_2$ from cyclotron. The recovery vial can be used for the stabilizer when an irregular [$^{18}F$]FDG loss was generated by the leak of valves ($V_{13,14}$). Conclusions: We has optimized appropriate synthetic conditions (temperature, time, pressure) in domestic [$^{18}F$]FDG auto synthesizer. In addition to, the remodeling with several accessories improve yields of domestic [$^{18}F$]FDG auto synthesizer with reliable reproducibility.

충전전압에 따른 겔형 VRLA전지 양극판의 파손방식 (Failure Mode of the Positive Plate on Charging Voltage in Gel Type Valve Regulated Lead Acid Batteries)

  • 겔형 VRLA전지의 파손방식을 조사하기 위하여 $100\%$ 방전심도에서 5시간율 전류로 충방전 수명시험을 하였다. 정전압 충전방식을 사용하여 충전전압을 2.40V와 2.50V로 하였을 때 1,000회 이상의 수명을 나타내었으며, 전지의 무게변화를 측정한 결과 각각 426.4g과 391.2g의 전해액이 감소하였다 2.50V로 충전한 전지가 우수한 수명특성을 나타내었으며, 전해액 손실량이 충전계수와 비례하는 것을 알 수 있었다 1,000회의 충방전 수명시험을 한 전지의 양극기판에는 약 $50{\mu}m$의 부식층이 관찰되었고, 활성물질의 미세구조는 크게 변하였다. 양극판의 파손방식은 활물질 탈락이며, 전해액 손실이 방전용량 감소의 원인인 것을 알 수 있었다.
