반도체 산업의 정밀리드프레임에 대한 프레스 및 금형 변형 예측 (Press and Die Deformation for a Precise Semiconductor Lead Frame)

  • The metal lead frame, a semiconductor component, has product tolerances in micro units as compared to products made with a larger size mold. Therefore, small deflections of the mold and of the press as well as the press molding process itself have a strong influence on accuracy of the product. Hence, it is necessary for the process design to consider the structural response of the mold and the press during deformation. In the current study, the mold deflection and pressure on the punch is examined using the finite element modeling (FEM) program ABAQUS. The results from the simulation were verified with the dynamic deformation measurement equipment using digital image correlation (DIC).

  • Tricrecyl phosphate(TCP)-containing polyurea microcapsules were prepared by interfacial polymerization using aromatic 2,4-toluene diisocyanate(TDI) and ethylenediamine(EDA) as wall forming materials. The effects of the protective colloids of polyvinylalcohol(PVA) and gelatin were investigated through experimentation. The mean size of prepared polyurea microcapsules was smaller and the surface morphology of the microcapsule prepared by the PVA as protective colloid was much smoother than the gelatin. As the concentration of protective colloid increased, the wall membrane of the polyurea microcapsules became more stable, the thermal stability of the wall membrane increased, the mean particle size became smaller, and the particle distribution was more uniform. PET containg microTCPs have a higher activation energy of decomposition, higher char content and lower heat of combustion.

변형시효처리한 탄소강의 소성역 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Plastic Zone in Carbon Steel after Strain Aginig)

  • In this paper, the behavior of plastic zone in the notch tip was studied under Loye's Micro Vickers Hardness Measurement Method. The direction forming maximum plastic zone was estimated by finite element analysis. In the experiments, cold rolling sheet SGCD3, SK5 and hot rolling sheet SS41, S4SC was used to study the influence of carbon contents on plastic zone. The standard hardness test specimen and the notch hardness test specimen was made and loaded cyclically. The specimen was aged to stabilize the hardness. After aging treatment, the notch specimen was made and simple tension load of 50% yield strength was applied. The hardness test at the notch tip until the hardness data of standard hardness specimen was checked was performed.

  • This paper was designed to assess the adhesive properties of hard coatings on non-nitrided and nitrided various tool steels. Estimations of adhesion were done to scratch test which is mainly used in hard coating. The critical load(Lc) between coating and substrate is defined through analysis of frictional load vs. normal load curve, signals of acoustic emission and optical observations. Coatings employed in this study are TiN, CrN and TiAlN, tools as substrates are STD11, STD61 and SKH51. It was classified to substrates with/without nitrided layer and hard coatings on substrate were deposited by arc PVD. Results showed that harder substrates and coatings give higher values of critical loads.

  • The importance and interests for saving of energy and cost in industry has grown up. Therefore, process optimization to reduce the process and energy become one of the most important things. The non-heat treated steel, post-heat-treated is no necessary, has attractive points as structural materials. However, establishment of mechanical properties is necessary to apply non-heat-treated steel to structural parts. In this study, for non-heat-treated steel and pre-heat-treated steel, we have investigated microstructure, hardness, the tensile strength, compressive strength. And the FE analysis technology to predict the hardness value of forged part is developed on micro-alloyed steel forged part.

유리인서트 사출금형 설계를 위한 사출성형 및 구조해석 (Injection molding and structure analysis for design of glass insert injection mold)

  • This paper describes the process of structure analysis and injection molding analysis to manufacture the forming injection dies for huge glass insert. Factors such as filling time, filling pressure, material temperature, shrinkage, warpage were investigated by using the analysis software, Moldflow. Runner system and cavity structure were designed and manufactured through the results of deformation analysis data for glass insert. Filling time and filling pressure were analyzed in 3.756sec and 43.37MPa.

Nexus between Inflation, Inflation Perceptions and Expectations

  • We uncover a nexus between actual inflation, inflation perceptions and expectations in Korea through analyzing micro as well as aggregate data from the Consumer Survey. We document two novel findings. First, households' subjective perceptions of inflation exert more impact on expectation formation than actual inflation. Second, inflation perceptions are broadly in line with the trajectory of the inflation trend. This is attributable to the fact that changes in actual inflation have been generated mainly by the consumption items whose price changes are perceived more sensitively as those items are frequently bought or have a larger share in household expenditures. Conducting a cross-country comparison, we find that information rigidity in expectation formation process and the nexus between perceptions and expectations of inflation prove to be stronger in Korea. Additionally, we reconfirm the existing finding that the scope of information utilized for forming inflation expectations is fairly circumscribed.

  • In this paper, anisotropic tensile properties of the AZ31B Mg-alloy sheet are obtained with the tensile test at elevated temperatures. Change of microscopic structures and the hardness is inspected after the solution heat treatment process in order to confirm the micro-structural stability of the used sheet metal. Results obtained from tensile tests show that it is very difficult to apply the conventional modeling scheme with the assumption of strain hardening to the forming analysis of the magnesium alloy sheet which shows the strain-softening behavior at the elevated temperature.

Making Alumina Microcomponents from Al Powder

  • Alumina microcomponents have distinguishing advantages over Si counterpart. However, the shrinkage of alumina, as high as 20%, makes it difficult to produce precision components meeting a high tolerance. A new fabrication process presented to greatly reduce the shrinkage by producing alumina microcomponents from ultrafine Al powder. The process consists of forming Al powder components through sintering and turning the Al powder component into alumina. In this way, the shrinkage occurring in sintering the Al powder component will be compensated by the expansion appearing when the Al powder component turns into alumina. The process has proven successful.

  • In this paper, a new structure for a dC plasma display pane(PDP) with a wall-catode and a wall-auxilizry anode has been suggested. The wall-cathode with a sufficient discharge area maximizes the discharge volume. The auxiliary anode surrounding the discharge region makes the effective control of the charged particles possible. We have investigated the cahracteristics of the new cell structure with a 2-dimensional computer simulation and a micro gap discharge system, and compared experimentally with those of previous cell structure. The new cell structure with the wall-cathode and auxiliary wall-anode turned out to have improved luminance, discharge forming time and sustain voltage.
