  • 우리나라는 지질특성상 각종 토공사를 시행할 때 암반 절취가 필수적이다. 그러나 소음진동 규제법의 강화, 각종 건설민원 발생 및 안전관리를 강화하기 위하여 종래에 해오던 일반발파(대발파)공법을 적용할 현장은 거의 없는 실정이므로, 미진동 발파공법과 진동제어 발파공법에 대한 기준품셈 및 시공기술에 대한 연구가 더욱 필요하다. 또한 종래의 미진동 발파공법의 품셈기준으로 되어있는 미진동 파쇄기(CCR, 상품명 Fine Cracker)를 사용한 발파공법은 기존의 암절취에 기술적 문제가 일부 대두되므로 이를 보완하기 위해 퇴적암 절취현장에서 미진동 파쇄기.정밀.에멀젼 화약을 사용하여 비교실험을 하였으며, 최근에 새로운 미진동 파쇄기(상품명 : Fine Cracker Plus)를 개발 시판하게 되어 이를 비교 검토하였다. 그 결과 일축 압축강도 $1623~2060kg/\textrm{cm}^2$의 경암 내지 극경암에서도 양호한 발파효과를 볼 수 있었다.

  • The use of arc tubes made of ceramic material further enhanced some of the metal halide lamp’s properties. These properties translate into higher efficacy with better color rendering, stable color through lamp long life. Recently, due to an increase in the application of the ceramic metal-halide lamp, the study for the property etc. according to Ballast's driving scheme and the study for arc tube material, optimization of gas and so on are being proceeded to improve the property of the lamp. Especially, to control ceramic metal-halide lamp, the vigorous study and practical use with respect to Electronic Ballast, which has been improved in the disadvantages of the conventional Magnetic Ballast are made. In this paper, Electrical characteristics and gas insulation destroy time are analyzed by comparing magnetic ballast with electronic ballast.

  • A temperature gradient focusing (TGF) via Joule heating phenomenon was numerically studied. The governing transport equations are implemented into a quasi-1D numerical model to predict the resulting temperature, velocity, and concentration profiles along a microchannel of varying width under an applied electric field. The model is used to analyze the effects of varying certain geometrical parameters of a microchannel on the focusing performance of the device. We show the effects of varying width of the microchannel having a fixed length, and propose the optimal geometry of the device. This method can be easily implemented into lab-on-a-chip (LOC) applications where focusing is required based on its simple design.

  • In this paper, we describe the design method of carbody structure with side-buffer. Recently railroad industry has a new interest with stability, fixed time, low environment pollution and mass transportation. Accidents have little on the railroad but railroad industry is trying to minimize carbody damage and passenger injury in case of accidents. So a side-buffer having anti-climber is applied to meet each special needs. Carbody with side-buffer is assembled with aluminum(6005A-T6) parts that are extruded. As the results of the study, it is showed that carbody with side-buffer has sufficient energy absorbtion about crashworthiness.

  • 원자력발전소를 비롯한 여러 산업플랜트들은 복잡한 파이프 시스템들이 필수적으로 필요한데, 이러한 파이프들 중 일부 파이프들은 안전성과 중요성을 고려하여 Over-haul 기간이나 가동 중에도 반드시 안전성 검사를 수행해야한다. 이 검사에는 검사자의 작업 공간 확보 어려움과 고위험 지역에 따른 작업환경으로 인하여 로봇을 이용한 검사 방안이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 파이프 등반 로봇을 개발함에 있어 영상을 이용한 파이프 자동 파지 기술과 로봇 원격제어 기술개발에 대하여 기술한다.

  • In this paper, the purpose is evaluation of the effect of using fractal feature in machine learning based pancreatic tumor classification. We used the data that Pancreas CT series 469 case including 1995 slice of benign and 1772 slice of malignant. Feature selection is implemented from 109 feature to 7 feature by Lasso regularization. In Fractal feature, fractal dimension is obtained by box-counting method, and hurst coefficient is calculated range data of pixel value in ROI. As a result, there were significant differences in both benign and malignancies tumor. Additionally, we compared the classification performance between model without fractal feature and model with fractal feature by using support vector machine. The train model with fractal feature showed statistically significant performance in comparison with train model without fractal feature.

  • A diaphragm spring is an important component of a clutch assembly, characteristics of which depends largely on that of a diaphragm spring. A diaphragm spring is subject to high stress concentration in driving condition, which frequently causes cracks and fracture around finger area. In this paper, behavior of a diaphragm spring is analysed by finite element method to calculate sensitivity of design parameters, which is used to perform optimal design of diaphragm spring shape. As an object function, hoop stresses are taken and minimized to improve durability. Characteristics of the diaphragm is used as equality constraint to maintain the original design purpose and sequential linear programming(SLP) is utilized as an optimization tool. With optimized design, it is verified that concentrated stress is decreased maintaining release load characteristic.

Effects of Dehairing Methods and Sex on Pork Quality and Boar Taint Compound Levels in Tissues

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of dehairing methods and sex on various traits of pork quality, as well as on tissue levels of the boar taint compounds androstenone and skatole. At the early postmortem period, dehided pigs showed higher muscle pH levels (p<0.05), lower temperatures (p<0.05) and lower drip loss (p<0.001) than scalded pigs. Thus, the dehairing method can affect the early postmortem glycolytic rate and water-holding capacity. Moreover, the differences in meat quality traits between the genders were small, and not considered to have practical importance. The scalding method had only a limited effect on the androstenone content. On the other hand, the scalded entire males exhibited a lower content of skatole than the dehided entire males (p<0.01). These results appear to indicate that the heating treatment from the scalding process influenced the reduction of skatole content for the scalded entire males.

  • Electroactive polymers have attracted considerable attention in recent years due to their sensing and actuating properties which make them a material of choice for a wide range of applications including sensors, biomimetic robots, and biomedical micro devices. This paper presents an effective modeling strategy for nonlinear large deformation (small strains and moderate rotations) dynamic analysis of polymer actuators. Considering that the complicated electro-chemo-mechanical dynamics of these actuators is a drawback for their application in functional devices, establishing a mathematical model which can effectively predict the actuator's dynamic behavior can be of paramount importance. To effectively predict the actuator's dynamic behavior, a comprehensive mathematical model is proposed correlating the input voltage and the output bending displacement of polymer actuators. The proposed model, which is based on the rigid finite element (RFE) method, consists of two parts, namely electrical and mechanical models. The former is comprised of a ladder network of discrete resistive-capacitive components similar to the network used to model transmission lines, while the latter describes the actuator as a system of rigid links connected by spring-damping elements (sdes). Both electrical and mechanical components are validated through experimental results.

  • If the ambient temperature rises in AC PDP, some of the discharged cells arc turned off because of the addressing failure. Particularly, the addressing failure at the last scan line is more serious than at the first scan line. The failure is accompanied with delay of the address discharge and reduction of total charge involved. In order to compensate this kind of misfiling, the progressively increasing address voltage waveform is used instead of constant one. In this method, we found that the total charge and address time at the last scan line are similar to those of the first line. As a result, we can have stable discharge without misfiring even at the high ambient temperature.
