  • An electronic watt-hour meter with high-precision measurement technology can provide many valuable metering data of a real-time system measurements, such as per-phase voltage, ampere, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, and system frequency. Also many of accumulated metering data such as active energy, reactive energy, apparent energy, and load profile can be gettable from an electronic watt-hour meter[1]. This paper presents an approach of the small-sized AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) that provides customers with a very valuable electrical service. This AMR service transmits lots of a valuable metering data by using ZigBee communication module, so that users resided in their premises can use the information to audit a power quality and improve their electrical conditions by using the PQ monitoring device equipped with ZigBee receiver. This PQ monitoring device shows metering data on LCD and transmits to the PC through an internal network. Also, the device can keep the valuable meter data into a built-in non-volatile memory. The final goal of this paper is to better understand the power quality of electrical systems and offer the power qualify information for the convenience of all power consumers.

  • In this paper, we introduce automatic meter reading system for tap water. The system is composed of automatic meter, router using RF and CDMA network, and data server. This system will easily extend to fire detect, gas, and electric charge meter system. In addition, this system will be used to monitoring a water leak and human which live in solitude. Proposed system is installed at Gimhae-City and Gijang-gun. As a result of the automatic meter reading system for tap water, The leak of water and complain of user is decreased. But The building cost is still an obstacle to expand into entire city.

  • This paper is a IoT-based radon meter control system and a radon meter control method using it. The IoT-based radon meter control system is control system for controlling a radon meter by network-connecting radon meter and a user terminal. The radon measuring device may be provided with a radon sensor to measure a radon value of a preset management target area, it collect and store numerical data. The radon meter control system monitors the condition of the radon meter, it includes control center configured to deliver radon meter management information generated to a user terminal. Also radon measurements to determine the exact amount of radon gas. Therefore, the situation-specific actions based on radon numbers can be promptly implemented to ensure adequate protection for those who are vulnerable to radon and those who live in the area. Condition monitoring allows the radon meter to respond quickly to failure or failure of the radon meter. In addition, it is possible to secure a baseline of radon's influence and to obtain research data to cope with radon by establishing big data with radon measurements.

  • Power quality monitoring is the cornerstone for power quality analysis, diagnosis and improvement. The measurement of power quality (PQ) evolves from instantaneous metering to continuous monitoring. Furthermore, recent technologies enable us to construct more flexible, reliable, rapid and economical power quality monitoring system (PQMS). Therefore, this paper presents an improved PQMS with a new distributed monitoring structure. The proposed PQMS consists of a PQ meter, PQ analyzer and GUI. The PQ meter only collects raw data and the PQ analyzer performs power quality analysis. It has several advantages compared to conventional structures in economic efficiency, modularity, speed, etc. PQ monitoring algorithms to catch steady-state trends and to detect PQ events are also adapted to the proposed structure. Using the proposed structure and monitoring algorithm, a prototype PQMS is constructed and real-time testing is performed.

  • In recent years, the many electric saving methods are studied because of difficulty of meeting the demand. The electric energy management such as monitoring of branch power consumption, demand control, metering, power quality monitoring, electric safety monitoring can make energy saving. The purpose of this paper is to develop a system which can provide the integrated management of various functions required for energy management by consumers. In this system all functions which were embodied into each devices are integrated into intelligent meter. The developed systems are tested and implemented by installing at consumer electric distribution panel.

  • As meters become digital and smart, energy data such as electricity, gas, heat, and water can be accurately and efficiently measured with a smart meter, providing consumers with data on energy used, so that real-time demand response and energy management services can be utilized. Although it is developing from a simple metering system to a smart metering industry to create a high value-added industry fused with ICT, illegal counterfeiting of electronic meters is causing problems in intelligent crimes such as manipulation and hacking of SW. The meter not only allows forgery of the meter data through arbitrary manipulation of the SW, but also leaves a fatal error in the metering performance, so that the OIML requires the validation of the SW from the authorized institution. In order to solve this problem, a quantitative confirmation device was developed in order to eradicate the act of cheating the fuel oil quantity through encoder pulse operation and program modulation, etc. In order to prevent the act of deceiving the lubricator, a device capable of checking pulse forgery was developed, manufactured, and verified. In addition, the performance of the device was verified by conducting an experiment on the meter being used in the actual field. It is judged that the developed quantitative confirmation device can be applied to other flow meters other than lubricators, and in this case, accurate measurement can be induced.

  • 최근, 스마트 그리드, 스마트 홈 네트워크, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 등의 분야에서 필요한 정보를 수집 및 가공하여 실시간 양방향으로 교환하고, 제어 및 감시하는 스마트 정보 모니터링 기술에 대한 연구를 계속 해 왔다. 본 논문에서는 에너지, U-Farm, 차량정보 및 홈 네트워크에 관한 스마트 정보 모니터링 기술의 응용 제품 및 최근 동향들을 알아본다. 특히, 스마트 그리드의 핵심부분인 스마트 미터와 실시간으로 정보를 교환하는 구글 파워미터, 유비쿼터스 농업을 위한 실시간 모니터링 시스템, 차량상태 정보를 위한 실시간 모니터링 시스템, 저전력, 저가격의 ZigBee 기반 스마트 정보 모니터링 기술 응용 및 관련사례에 대하여 기술한다. 마지막으로 스마트그리드 제주 실증단지 구축현황에 대하여 기술한다.

교량 구조물의 정밀 계측 시스템 개발 (Development of Precise Measurement System for Structure Bridge)

  • In this paper, we concern for development of precise measuement system for civil structure by using one chip microprocessor based on communication system. The datalogger is developed by using 80C196KC microprocessor. It has RF communication modul and data acquisition function for several kinds of sensors such as load cell, tilt-meter, strain gauge, tension meter, themocouple and so on. The data is acquisited by datalogger is sent to a main server which is located at central monitoring office. The server has a function suppervising several data points located at civil structures, it analyzes the data and shows the data graphically. The effectiveness of the developed system is proven through experimental results by an application for the bridge of Nakdong river edge in Busan, Korea.

But the core technology of multifunctional electronic meter implemented by programmable one-chip IC, which can be the right answer of ail the power industy's efforts is now still under development in the advanced countries. Implementation of smallest size, lowest price three-phase meter with features which enable distribution automation such as bidirectional communication. The three phase metering IC and meter can be used as metering, automatic meter reading and transformer monitoring. Prepayment billing system.
