어린이집 교사가 인식하는 부모 이미지 연구: 은유 분석을 중심으로 (A Study on Child Care Center Teachers Awareness of Parental Images: Focusing on a Metaphor Analysis)

  • Objective: The goal of this study is to examine child care center teachers'awareness of parents through a metaphor analysis. Methods: Metaphorical expressions and reason-statements were collected from 276 teachers. Metaphor analysis was used through categorizing and assorting by meanings. Results: The teachers' metaphorical image expressions of parents were analyzed by using 13 metaphorical expression words and 3 categories which included, influence on teacher's attitudes, parent-teacher relationships, and parents' attitudes. Metaphorical image expressions that had a high ratio were 'a companion' and 'a client.' First, child care center teachers had images of parents that parents provide courageous energy to them, and images of clients who demand service instead of being parents. Second, child care center teachers had images of parents that parents cooperate with teachers for the sake of their children. Third, child care teachers had images of parents that parents need help with their children. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggests that teachers will be able to positively correct their awareness of cooperative parent-teacher relationships by reviewing their metaphorical expressions of parental images.

Elementary School Students' Mathematical Metaphors for Line Segments, Straight Lines, and Rays

  • This research investigates the development of elementary students' concepts of line segments, straight lines, and rays, employing metaphor analysis as a research methodology. By analyzing metaphorical expressions, the research aims to explore how elementary students form these geometric concepts line segments, straight lines, and lays and evolve their understanding of them across different grades. Surveys were conducted with elementary school students in grades three to six, focusing on metaphorical expressions and corresponding their reasons associated with line segments, straight lines, and rays. The data were analyzed through coding and categorization to identify the types in students' metaphorical expressions. The analysis of metaphorical expressions identified five types: straightness, infinity or direction, connections of another geometric concepts, shape and symbols, and terminology.

디자인 과정에서 나타난 은유사고의 분석 (An Analysis on Metaphorical Thinking in Design Process)

  • 본 연구는 디자인 과정 중에 발생하는 디자이너의 사고행위를 해석하는 디자인 과학 연구의 하나로서 인지심리학의 이론을 바탕으로 디자인 과점에 대한 인지실험을 실시하여 은유사고를 이해하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 건축 디자이너를 대상으로 디자인 개념 설정 과정에 대한 디자인 리뷰(review)실험을 실시하여 겉으로 드러나지 않는 은유사고를 언어표현으로 끄집어내고 그 내용을 분석하여 디자인 과정에서 은유사고의 특성을 살펴보았다. 주어진 디자인 상황에서 디자이너가 문제를 해결하고 개념을 설정하는 사고과정을 회상해서 이야기한 내용을 분석하여 디자인 과정을 디자인 아이디어의 발생과정으로 재구성하고 이 과정에서 나타난 은유사고를 아이디어 발생 측면에서 분석하여 디자인에서 은유사고의 특성을 파악하였다. 연구결과 디자인 과정에서 발생하는 아이디어의 생성에 가장 중요한 접은 어느 시점에 다수의 새로운 아이디어가 생성되어 디자인 사고가 확산되는 젓이며 이러한 디자인 아이디어의 확산에 은유사고가 결정적인 역할을 담당하고 있는 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 은유분석을 통해 놀이중심교육에 대해 예비유아교사들이 어떠한 인식을 하고 있는지 조사하여 예비유아교사들이 생각하고 있는 놀이중심교육의 의미를 파악하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 경상남도 C시에 소재한 4년제 및 3년제 대학교 유아교육과에 재학중인 예비유아교사들로 최종 183명이 참여하였다. 연구도구로 놀이를 은유적으로 표현하고 그 이유를 서술하도록 한 질문지를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 체계적 은유분석 단계를 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 놀이중심교육에 대한 예비유아교사들의 은유적 표현 범주에서 교수학습방법이 가장 많았으며, 환경, 즐거움·행복, 자율, 성장발달, 상호작용관계, 유아주도, 삶의 본, 흥미, 창의성, 잠재력, 가변성, 일상, 시작과 끝의 모호성, 자연스러움, 기타 순으로 분류되어 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 개정 누리과정에서 놀이중심교육을 어떻게 구현할 것인지에 대한 구체적인 예비유아교사교육 방법에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을것이다.

역할놀이에 대한 어린이집 교사의 은유분석 (Metaphorical Analysis on Role Playing of Day Care Center Teachers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 교사들의 역할놀이에 대한 은유의 경향과 은유의 의미를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 A지역 대학 보수교육에 참여한 어린이집 교사 166명을 대상으로 문장 완성형 은유 방법을 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 은유분석에 관한 선행연구에 기초하여 유아교육전문가 2인이 질적 연구의 방법을 활용한 범주화의 과정을 거쳐 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 역할놀이 은유의 경향은 3개 범주, 8개의 내용으로 분류되었으며, 3개 범주는 '사회성 발달', '정서발달', '발달'의 순서로 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 8개의 내용 중 '사회성 발달' 범주에서는 '모방'이 가장 빈도가 높게 나타났고 '정서발달' 범주에서는 '정서표현'이 가장 높은 빈도를 나타냈다. '발달' 범주에서는 '발달의 필수요인'이 단독내용으로 나타났다. 둘째, 역할놀이 은유의 의미는 먼저 '사회성 발달' 범주에서는 '사회적 기술', '역할체험', '모방', '사회이해'의 의미, '정서발달' 범주에서는 '상상력', '정화작용', '정서표현'의 의미, '발달' 범주에서는 '발달의 필수요인'으로 인식하고 있었다. 연구결과를 기초로 하여 유아교육기관에서 이루어지는 역할놀이의 가치와 교사의 역할에 대한 재조명이 필요함을 논의하였다.

직접적 섹스어필광고와 은유적 섹스어필광고의 비교분석 -언더웨어 브랜드를 중심으로 (The comparative Analysis between Direct Sex Appeal Advertisements and Metaphorical Sex Appeal Advertisements)

  • 본 연구는 언더웨어 브랜드 광고를 직접적 섹스어필 광고와 은유적 섹스어필 광고로 구분하여 비교 분석을 시도하였다. 섹스어필 광고 표현의 차이에 따른, 광고태도, 브랜드 태도, 구매의도를 성별, 디자인 전공 여부를 중심으로 통계 분석하여 효과적인 광고 표현의 가능성을 모색하였다. 연구결과 언더웨어 브랜드의 특성상 직접적 섹스어필 광고가 여성에게 효과가 높다는 결론을 도출하였다. 또한 은유적 섹스어필 광고에 대해 남성이 광고 태도 및 브랜드 태도, 구매의도에 높은 호감도를 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 디자인 전공 여부에 따라서는 직접적 섹스어필 광고와 은유적 섹스어필 광고 선호도는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 언더웨어 광고에서 직접적 섹스어필 광고의 경우 섹스어필이 상품의 이미지와 조화될 때 여성에게 효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었으며, 남성은 언더웨어 브랜드광고에서 은유적 섹스어필 표현에 관심을 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

감성주거공간디자인을 위한 신소재의 은유적 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Metaphorical Expression Characteristics of New Materials for Emotional Housing Space Design)

  • This study analyzed metaphorical characteristics of composite materials in terms of a visual aspect on a new material that is applicable for housing space. The results are as follows. First, the recent trend of housing space tends to stimulate emotions of residents through visual finishing materials, and for this reason, visual expression of a new material that is applicable to finishing materials plays an important role. Second, convertibleness, association and duplicity were selected as items of metaphorical expressions through the precedent studies. Third, most of combinations of materials were shown different from the existing materials in an expressive characteristic of composite materials through analysis, and application of a technology showed a different visual effect of patterns and textures from the existing materials. This implies that visual expression and directing are being attempted using such technology on finishing materials of housing space with development of digital technologies. Fourth, for metaphorical characteristics of composite material for housing space, combination of various materials and a digital technology were applied on convertibleness. For association, a combination of materials that have each different characteristic associated with the third material, and combination with subsidiary material of optical fiber and a digital technology were appled for duplicity. Data obtained from the results of this study has high efficiency in planning finishing materials for emotional housing space in future, and it will be basic data for a study on development of new finishing materials.

현대 중국적 패션 디자인의 미적 특성 연구 - 전통문화코드 분석을 기반으로 - (A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Contemporary Chinese Fashion Design - based on traditional culture code analysis -)

  • This study aims to clarify the identity of contemporary Chinese fashion design by examining how the characteristics of Chinese tradition are accepted and presented in fashion under the influences of western cultures. This study performed a literature survey on related works. Also this study performed demonstrative analysis of Chinese daily newspapers (People's Daily and Xinmin Evening News, 2007-2010) and fashion collections by Chinese and Chinese descent designers(2007-2011). The results are as follows: First, China is trying to express Chinese traditional ideas and factors in the design areas, and also trying to achieve an universal generalization. Second, the Chinese designers emphasized traditional ideas and culture in their designs. The Chinese descent designers were affected more by western culture. The common aesthetic consciousness were the beauties of sophisticated and splendorous decoration, vastness and elegance. Also the compromised images, neutral images and antique images were common in both groups. Third, the Chinese designers presented fashion designs on formalized and imitation stage. Also they tried to make a metaphorical stage. The Chinese descent designers showed designs on a metaphorical stage. In conclusion, the contemporary Chinese fashion design should find the way to globalize and identity of the traditional culture code simultaneously.

Using metaphorical techniques in focus groups to uncover mothers' feelings about family meals

  • Traditional nutrition education has not been shown to consistently produce behavior change. While it has been suggested that using emotion-based messages may be a better way to influence nutrition behavior change, this has not been well tested. Producing emotion-based messages is a multi-step process that begins with exploring subconscious barriers to behavior change rather than the more obvious and typically reported barriers. The purpose of this research was to uncover the emotional reasons, sometimes referred to as emotional pulse points, for mothers' choosing or not choosing to have more family meals. This would then serve as the first step to developing emotion-based messages promoting the benefits of family meals. Five focus group interviews were conducted with 51 low-income Black (n=28) and white (n=23) mothers. Metaphorical techniques were used to determine underlying feelings toward family and family meals. Discussions were video-taped, transcribed, and manually analyzed using a content-driven, immersion/crystallization approach to qualitative data analysis. Four themes emerged around the definition of family: acceptance, sharing, chaos, and protective/loyal. Some mothers felt mealtime was merely obligatory, and described it as stressful. Some reported a preference for attending to their own needs instead of sitting down with their children, while others felt that mealtime should be used to interact with and educate children and felt guilty when they were not able to provide family meals. Three themes emerged around feelings towards having or not having family meals: unimportant, important, and guilty. When explored further, mothers indicated that using the feeling of guilt to encourage family meals might be effective. Data obtained are being used to develop innovative, emotion-based messages that will be tested for effectiveness in promoting family meals.

서양복식에 나타난 양적과장의 미의식에 관한 연구 (II) - 현대패션을 중심으로 - (The Aesthtics Consciousness of Voluminous Enlargement in the Western Costume - In the 20th Century -)

  • This Studies on 20th century fashion was carried out according to the classification of the times as made up Belle Epoque, New Look, Big Look, and Body-Consciousness. Aside from research in literatures, research into 20th fashion also include the analysis of photo had been taken from various collection. The enlargement beauty of costume had been place under the aesthetic category and, by interpreting the analogies of presented in aesthetic consciousness. the true nature of the voluminous enlargement in costume had been traced. To conclude, this study finds there are between the aesthetic characteristic differences in the aesthetic consciousness of the costumes in history and the present-day fashion. The aesthetic consciousness of the voluminous enlargement of the present-day was found to have the following characteristic ; (1) History-oriented tradition (2) Metaphorica autonomous (3) Freedom of breaking with restriction (4) Dismantling the irregularity (5) Hedonistic play instinct (6) Psychological compensation (7) Sexual sensuality (8) Ideal of the times (9) Aesthetic ornament (10) Feeling of satisfaction through self-enlargement. From list above. metaphorical sensuality, aesthetic ornament and the feeling of satisfaction driven by Self-Enlargement are the same characteristics found in the aesthetics consciousness of the voluminous enlargement of the costume In history in that they are the aesthetic consciousness above time and space. It is metaphorical sensuality which transform woman's body in to distorted images as influenced by both capitalism and materialism in the last 20 years. These are represented by the sadomasochistic and fetish images as the woman's metaphorical voluminous enlargement is apparently becoming more positive, radical and obscene especially in terms of expression.
