PVdF계 미세기공 고분자 전해질의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics of Microporous Polymer Electrolytes Based on Poly(vinylidene-co-hexafluoropropylene))

  • 리튬 설퍼전지용 고분자 전해질을 개발하기 위해 상전이 방법으로 미세기공 P(VdF-HFP) 고분자 필름을 제조하였다. 미세기공 고분자 전해질은 NMP추출에 사용되는 증류수와 메탄올의 혼합 농도를 조절함으로써 고분자 필름 내부의 기공 구조 형성을 제어할 수 있었다. $80\%$ 메탄올로 제조한 미세기공 고분자 필름에 1M $LiCF_3SO_3-TEGDME/EC$의 액체 전해질을 함침시켜 제조한 고분자 전해질이 가장 높은 이온 전도도를 나타냈으며 리튬 이차전지에 사용 가능한 $2\times10^{-3}S/cm$의 이온전도도를 나타내었다. 또한 고분자 필름의 기공도가 균일하고 저장 시간에 따른 이온전도도 감소도 적었으며, 리튬 전극과의 계면저항도 가장 낮게 나타났다. 리튬염에 따른 이온전도도를 측정한 결과 $LiPF_6$를 사용한 고분자 전해질이 상온에서 $3.3\times10^{-3}S/cm$로 나타났다.

  • Spray dried $Cr_2O_3$ 분말은 겉보기밀도를 향상시키기 위해 plasma flame에 투입하여 실험을 진행 하였다. 첫번째 고밀도화 공정에서의 분말은 입자내부 공간까지 완전히 용해되어지지 않았으며, 두번째 공정 이후 완전히 용해가 되었다. 두번째 공정 결과 분말 입도는 작아졌으며, 용해 및 표면 연화에 의해 겉보기 밀도와 유동도는 향상이 되었다. 두번째 고밀도화 공정이 후 부분적으로 입자들이 $30{\mu}m$ 이상의 hollow structure을 보여주고 있다. 분말의 이러한 고밀도화는 plasma flame에 의해 응집되어진 응집체내의 열전도율 및 내부 가스압의 관점에서 정량적으로 논의 하였다.

  • In order to process plastic with similar mechanical performance to metal materials, it is necessary to improve the strength and hardness of core parts of the injection equipment in extrusion system. The tempering process is a heat treatment performed to reduce brittleness and improve elongation along with improvement of dimensional defects of martensite formed after quenching. In this study, changes in microstructure and mechanical properties according to temperature were evaluated after quenching and tempering of SM30C material. As a result, the strength and hardness were gradually decreased by tempering at 250~400℃, and the decrease was greatly increased under the tempering condition at 450℃. Under the tempering condition of 200~400℃, the main structure was lath martensite, and the precipitation amount and size of needle-shaped cementite increased along the lath with the increase of the tempering temperature. Most of the shape of cementite has a needle-like structure, and the formation of some spherical cementite is observed. Under the tempering condition of 450℃, a mixed structure of ferrite and martensite was formed according to the decomposition of martensite.

  • Recently the use of ultra high strength steels (UHSS) in structural and safety component is rapidly increasing in the automotive industry. For example, 1.5GPa grade hot stamping with die-quenching of boron steel 22MnB5 could apply crash-resistant parts such as bumpers and pillars. The development of laser welding process of hot stamping steels, fundamental bead-on-plate welding and lap joint welding test were carried out using 3kW Nd:YAG laser. Local hardening & HAZ softening occurred in hot stamping steel as a result of metallurgical change caused by the welding heat input in the Nd:YAG laser welding process. The size of soft zones in the hot stamping steel was related to the welding heat input, being smaller at high speeds which generated a smaller heat input. Also in the case of lap joint design structure, same welded characteristics were shown. The HAZ softening degree was controlled to ensure the joint strength.

해저열수광상 기술.경제성평가 모델 개발 (Development of Technical and Economic Evaluation Model for Seafloor Massive Sulfide Deposits)

  • The Kuroko-type seafloor massive sulfide deposits found in the western Pacific have been considered to have potentials for economic recovery of Au, Ag, Cu, Zn, and Pb. In this study, a preliminary model was developed for the technical and economic evaluation of them. The FRSC site on Lau Basin in the Tonga EEZ was selected as a target. In this study, no construction In for the metallurgical processing subsystem was accounted for. Instead, it was assumed to sell the Cu, Zn, and Pb concentrates to the existing sulfide customer smelter. The low total investment costs for the development make the venture very attractive. However, the result of the economic feasibility evaluation is still less attractive with the mean metal yield of the Kuroko on land. It is considered that commercial mining may be plausible if the richer metal yields are applied to the development. Quantitative information for metal yield is necessary for a more accurate evaluation. However, the important resource potential information regarding the amount of ore body, the inside structure, and the metal yields have not yet been clarified sufficiently. h addition, the flotation of ore body using seawater has not been tested yet. It is necessary to solve these problems through the experimental R&D and a survey.

고압비틀림 공정을 이용한 구리 분말의 치밀화 (Densification of Copper Powders using High-pressure Torsion Process)

  • In this study, electrolytic copper powders were consolidated by high-pressure torsion process (HPT) which is the most effective process to produce bulk ultrafine grained and nanocrystalline metallic materials among various severe plastic deformation processes. The bulk samples were manufactured by the HPT process at 2.5 GPa and 1/2, 1 and 10 turns. After 10 turns, full densification was achieved by high pressure with shear deformation and ultrafine grained structure (average grain size of 677 nm) was observed by electron backscatter diffraction and a scanning transmission electron microscope.

Sn-Zn합금의 주조조건과 응고특성 (Casting Conditions and Solidification Characteristics of Sn-Zn Alloys)

  • An investigation has been conducted to describe solidification characteristics in Sn-Zn binary system and Sn-Zn-Ag ternary system added by Ag produced by the continuous casting process using heated mold as a basic study for developing Pb-free solder materials. To obtain the continuous casting rods with mirror surface and near net shape at higher casting speed, water flow rates must be increased and mold temperature must be lowered. However, surface tearing in the casting rods occured at lower continuous casting speed while break out occured at higher continuous casting speed even if optimum conditions such as water flow rate and heated mold temperature are determined. Primary ${\alpha}Sn$ and eutectic structure in unidirectioally solidified Sn-Zn alloys were finer with increased casting speed. But, directionality may not be expected for primary Zn in hypereutectic Sn-Zn alloy. It was found that the addition of $0.2{\sim}0.8%$ Ag promoted the growth of primary ${\alpha}Sn$ dendrites. The changes of tensile strength and elongation in Sn-Zn binary alloys were not observed while the increase of tensile strength and the decrease of elongation in Sn-Zn-Ag ternary alloys were observed with increased casting speed.

EVALUATION OF FRICTION WELDABILITY OF TYPE 5052 ALALLOY/LOW CARBON STEEL JOINT.

  • The mechanical and metallurgical properties of friction welded joints type 5052 Al alloy/A36 steel have been studied in this paper. The joint strength increased with increasing upset pressure and friction time till it reached the critical value. The joint strength was fixed at low strength compare to that of base metal in the case of increasing friction time. Microstructure of 5052 Al alloy was greatly deformed near the weld interface. The very fine and equaxied grain structure was observed at the near interface. The elongated grain was formed outside dynamic recrystallizatoin region at the peripheral part, while the A36 steel' side was not deformed. The hardness of the near interface was slightly softer than that of 5052 Al alloy base metal. The maximum softening width was about 8mm from the interface. In the present work, the friction welding condition, t$_1$=0.5sec, P$_2$=137.5MPa, showed a maximum joint strength (202MPa) when friction pressure, upset time and rotation speed were fixed at 75MPa, 5sec, 2000rev/min and these were the optimum friction welding condition of 5052Al/A36 steel joints.

Studies of point defects for annealed $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ epilayer

  • The $AgInS_{2}$ epilayers with a chalcopyrite structure grown using a hot-wall epitaxy method have been confirmed to be a high quality crystal. From the optical absorption measurements, a temperature dependence of the energy band gap on $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ was found to be $Eg(T)=2.1365eV-(9.89{\times}10^{-3}eV)T^{2}/(2930+T)$. After the as-grown $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ was annealed in Ag-, S-, and In-atmospheres, the origin of point defects of $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ has been investigated by using photoluminescence measurements at 10 K. The native defects of $V_{Ag},\;V_{S},\;Ag_{int}$ and $S_{int}$ obtained from photoluminescence measurements were classified as donors or accepters. It was concluded that the heat-treatment in the S-atmosphere converted $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ to an optical p-type. Also, it was confirmed that In in $AgInS_{2}/GaAs$ did not form the native defects because In in $AgInS_{2}$ did exist in the stable form.

Rheo-compocasting법에 의한 SiC입자분산 복합재료의 마모특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wear Characteristics of SiC Particle Dispersed Composites by Rheo-Compocasting Method)

  • Microstructure, hardness and wear characteristics of $SiC_p/Al-6.5wt%Si-1.7wt%Mg$ alloy composites fabricated by the method of rheo-compocasting and hot pressing are investigated in this study. The dispersion of SiC particles in the composites is homogeneous and the hardness improves as additional amount increases. The wear amount of the matrix metal increases highly as wear rates increase, for the wear mechanism changes from adhesive wear to melt wear, and the matrix metal was coated on the surface of revolving disc and its weight increases. In the 5vol% composites, Fe is adhered on the surface of specimen by the projection of the dispersed hard SiC particles which have net-work structure and the coating layer is about $300{\mu}m$. But in the composite more than 20vol%, the wear amount of composite decreases because the SiC particles which have superior hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance properties resist wear, the abrasive wear turn out predominant wear mechanism and so the wear amount of revolving disc increases.
