Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between employee authenticity and customer loyalty. This study also examined whether rapport positively mediated the above relationship. In addition this study address the moderating role of customer emotional intelligence in the relationship between employee authenticity and rapport. By developing moderated a mediation model, we addressed indirect conditional effect of customer emotional intelligence on the relationship between employee authenticity and customer loyalty via rapport. Methods: The survey data was collected by customers who used various services in Korea. The main hypotheses were tested using a cross-sectional design, with questionnaires administered to 292 customers. Results: The result of empirical analysis has shown that employee authenticity was significantly positively related to customer loyalty. We have also found that rapport positively mediated the relationship between employee authenticity and customer loyalty. While there was a significant moderating effect of customer emotional intelligence on the relationship between employee authenticity and rapport, the moderated mediating role of customer emotional intelligence was found. Conclusion: The results provide useful theoretical and practical implications to the organizations and managers who want to improve customer loyalty. Future research directions with the limitation of the study were discussed.

This study aims to focus on the text analysis, production methods of text, and reproduction of production methods, based on a film (2010) taken by mobile devices. As a digital film in which the objects and images have no characteristics of index, this work has the post-cinematic attributes in the aspect of consumers' recipience. This thesis paid attention to the interactions between essential change and production/consumption throughout the whole film culture in the receptive aspect. Just as the main character is a mediator-shaman in the film, this film works as a mediating position of cinematic possibility. In this film, there are different kinds of mediation such as mediation of shaman inside the text, mediation of film in the relationship between text and consumers, and consumers' instrumental desire for others'tool outside the text. Outside the text, this relevant film stimulates the imitation desire of consumer subjects as others. In other words, this is connected to the desire of consumers who aim to create a digital film through mobile devices as an author. This is connected to Simondon's thinking in which such technical objects not only generate new relationships, but also become a revolutionary seed that newly collectivizes human society.
Recently, knowledge transfer has been recognized as one of the major factors for success of IT projects but little investigated in Information Systems research. IT project, which needs collaboration between organization's IT project team and external partner, is an critical source for a firm to acquire external knowledge and to achieve its competitive advantage. Based on this recognition on knowledge transfer under IT project, we investigate a mediation role of knowledge transfer to IT project performance after identifying its antecedents such as project team capabilities and partner capabilities. The research model is tested by analyzing 161 sample data gathered from firms' employees who have participated IT projects within last two years. The results reveal that knowledge transfer has full-mediation effect between its antecedents and IT project performance. Moreover, project team capabilities have more impacts on knowledge transfer than partner capabilities do.
Multinational corporations (MNCs) usually face indigenous business environments in host countries which are different from a home country's. In this circumstance, MNCs would accomplish low-investing performance if they pursuit the same as the home oriented business strategy in the host country. The more different kinds of specialized environments a host countries have, the more pressure of modifying the international strategy needed for MNCs. This paper examines that how a different market environment between a home country and a host country, through MNC's local responsive managements, can influence investing performance in a host country. This paper conducts structural equation analyses with collected empirical data focusing upon a MNC's market orientation efforts and the realization of management localization (i.e., increasing local sourcing intensity or local sales intensity) as mediators between the specialized environment in a host country and the MNC's investing performance. This paper has several contributions in developing the prior approaches: first, the market orientation variables are regarded not as normal independent factors but mediators; second, two step mediation model is examined to make link between host market's heterogeneity and MNC's performance.
This study aimed to examine the influence of problem gambling on suicidal ideation through depression among stayers in the area of casino and to investigate the moderated mediation effect of gender. For the purpose, this study used a sample of 298 stayers in the area of casino, and conducted data analyses by utilizing Process Macro for SPSS. The main results are as follows. First, problem gambling positively significantly influenced suicidal ideation among stayers in the area of casino. Second, depression perfectly mediated the influence of problem gambling on suicidal ideation. Third, gender moderated the influence of depression on suicidal ideation. Fourth, the moderated conditional mediation effect of gender in the influence of problem gambling on suicidal ideation through depression was found. Based on the findings, this study concludes with discussing intervention strategies to address problem gambling and suicidal ideation among stayers in the area of casino.
Purpose: This paper investigated the effects of issue leadership on employees' work performance. It also explored the mediating role of job challenge in the above relationship. We also tested the moderating effect of psychological ownership in the relationship between issue leadership and job challenge. Finally, this paper examined the moderated mediation effect of psychological ownership in the course of affecting issue leadership on work performance via job challenge. Methods: This paper used a cross-sectional design with questionnaires administered to 390 employees working in Korean firms. It applied an hierarchical and multi-regression analysis by using SPSS 22.0 and Hayes' Macro Process to test the proposed hypotheses including a moderated mediation model. Results: As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the issue leadership had a positive effect on the work performance. Second, it was also found that issue leadership had a positive effect on the job challenge. In addition, job challenge was found to positive mediating effect in the relationship between issue leadership and work performance. Third, we found that the psychological ownership positively moderated the relationship between issue leadership and job challenge. Finally, the moderated mediating effect was found by confirming that the higher the degree of psychological ownership, the stronger the effect of issue leadership on the work performance via job challenge. Conclusion: This paper contributes to the leadership and work performance studies by identifying the role of issue leadership enhancing employee work performance while confirming connection mechanism and boundary conditions strengthening the positive effect of issue leadership on employee work performance.
Purpose - Our primary goal of this study is to investigate the positive relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations (i.e., RAI: relative autonomy index) and job performances with the mediation of their job creativity in service industries. This study also examines the moderating role of creative efficacy on the relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations and creativities. Finally, based on mediation and moderation hypotheses, we also tested moderating effect of creative efficacy on the mediation effect of job creativity. Research design, data, and methodology - Drawing on SDT(Self-determination theory) and COR(conservation of resources) theories, we developed three research hypotheses. Service female managers from a several service organizations(i.e. banking, retailing, and restaurant/hospitality service) in South Korea were surveyed using self-administered instrument for data collection. A total of 331 usable questionnaires were obtained after list-wise deletion. To test reliability and validity of measurement model, we employed the CFA(confirmatory factor analysis) using M-plus 8.1 Software. Also, internal consistency was tested by Cronbach's α. We, furthermore, used the SPSS PROCESS MACRO 2.16, which was suggested by Hayes (2013; 2015), to test mediation, moderation, and moderated mediation. Results - Our results revealed that self-determined motivation and job performance were positively and fully mediated by job creativity. Furthermore, the positive relationship between female managers' self-determined motivations and job creativities was stronger when their creative self-efficacies were high than when it was low. In addition, female managers' creative self-efficacies also amplified the positive relationship between their self-determined motivations and job performances with the mediation of job creativity. Conclusions - Our research empirically elaborated the previous model of self-determined motivation and manager/female creativity literature by presenting the findings that female managers' self-determined motivations significantly influence their job performances via job creativity and that creative self-efficacy effectively strengthen these positive impacts. Also, our research offered new insight for practitioners (i.e. top service managers) by suggesting that they may enhance female service managers' job performance if they pay more attention to employee creativity in service marketing.
This study recognizes that the externalizing problem behaviors of child with disabilities are the result of the social interaction between mother and child, and empirically verifies its systematic causal structure and multidimensional influence relationship. It was attempted to derive practical implications that can help the smooth normalization process of children's families. Therefore, 135 children with disabilities and their mothers selected by convenience sampling were targeted, and in the relationship between maternal overprotective parenting and externalizing behaviors of child, effortful control was used as a mediating variable, and defense style of mothers and children was used as a moderating variable. A Conditional Process Analysis(CPA) that can verify the moderated mediation Effect was performed by establishing a research model. As a result of the analysis, first, the overprotective parenting behavior of mother was statistically significant in both direct and indirect effects in increasing externalizing behaviors of child, and the mediation effect by effortful control was also statistically significant. Second, it was confirmed that the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the mother's defense style was statistically significant, and the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the child's defense style was not statistically significant. Based on the above results, assuming the importance of the influence of maternal parenting, a direct strategy for change in maternal overprotective parenting, child's Practical implications of parallel strategies with the tendency toward effective control and suboptimal strategies through the application of mothers' coping strategies were discussed.
This study aims to examine the impacts of service quality (SQ) on consumer-brand relationship quality (BRQ), the mediation effects of brand trust (BT) in those relationships and the moderated mediation effects of BT by the level of perceived product quality (PQ). A 376 valid sample was obtained from the consumers who have visited the service centers of automotive brands. The findings demonstrate the direct effects of SQ of the service centers in automotive brands on BRQ are not significant, while the mediation effects of BT between SQ and BRQ are significant. Moreover, the findings reveal that the mediation effects of BT in the lower perception group of PQ are stronger than those in the higher group. Based on these findings, not only the necessary roles of a service center to improve BRQ but also the transferring process from service centers' SQ to building a strong brand are discussed.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the mediation effect of a positive stress coping strategy between clinical practice stress and clinical practice satisfaction in nursing students. Methods : In this study, data was collected from 248 nursing students at K University in South Korea from October of 2015 to November of 2015. The collected data was analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 Statistics Program. Results : Clinical practice stress and a positive stress coping strategy were significant predictors of clinical practice satisfaction (${\beta}$=.442, p<.001). The explanatory power of the measure of clinical practice satisfaction was increased to 29.3% (p<.001) with solely clinical practice stress, and it reached 44.2% (p<.001) when a positive stress coping strategy was reflected. The results of this study confirmed that a positive stress coping strategy has a mediation effect on clinical practice stress and clinical practice satisfaction levels. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop a program to take advantage of positive stress coping skills so that nursing college students can smoothly overcome stress during their clinical training and thus improve their clinical practice experience.
