  • This paper elucidates the effect of characteristics of service quality on continuance usage intention of digital healthcare service using mediating factors of user expectation and user utility. First, we classified independent factors into three types such as service system characteristics, user characteristics, and healthcare service characteristics from the previous studies, and investigated the effect of three independent factors on continuance usage intention of digital healthcare service. Second, we analyzed the impact of two mediating factors, user expectation and user utility, on the continuance usage intention. We developed a research model that includes three types of independent factors, mediated factors of user expectation and user utility, and a dependent factor of continuance usage intention. We surveyed a total of 357 samples from digital healthcare service users and analyzed the research model. The research results significantly show that Characteristics of Users is essential factor impacting a dependent factor of Continuance Usage Intention. The results indicate the followings: (1) Characteristics of Users including the variables of Innovation impacts User Expectation, and User Expectation affects Users Utility, and Users Utility also affects Continuance Usage Intention. (2) Characteristics of Service Systems including the variables of Functionality, Compatibility, and Convenience and Characteristics of users of Innovation variable impact the mediating factor of User Expectation, and User Expectation also affects the factor of Continuance Usage Intention. • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between failure mindset of the mother and adolescent, along with the mediating effects of mother's happiness and mother-adolescents (first and second-year middle school students in Seoul) open communication. For this study, self-reported data of 270 mother-adolescent dyads were analyzed using SPSS and Process macro Model 6. The results revealed that the mother's failure mindset directly predicted their adolescent's failure mindset. The mediating effect of the mother-adolescent open communication was significant, but the mediating effect of the mother's happiness was not significant. However, the mediation effect of the mother's failure mindset on the adolescent's failure mindset through mother's happiness and mother-adolescent open communication was significant. These results suggest that "failure-is-enhancing" mindset of mothers improve their positive affect and parenting skills, which contributes to developing adolescent's belief system about failure. Putting the results together, this study is significant in that it identified the intergenerational relationship of the failure mindset. Besides, the study results serve as a foundation for intervening on the adolescent's failure mindset by verifying the developmental mechanism of the failure mindset.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between PJF(person-job fit) and members' organizational commitment focusing on the mediating factor. Previous Studies have found that person-job fit has positive effect on organizational commitment, and self-efficacy has positive effect on the organizational commitment. On the other hand, the studies to identify whether self-efficacy has a role in mediation between PJF and the members' organizational commitment has been insufficient. To that end, we considered self-efficacy as the mediator of the relationship between PJF and organizational commitment. We used the data which to perform national policy research from 690 workers at a small or medium firm. As a result of verifying the suitability of the research model, it was suitable for the acceptance criteria. Besides the hierarchical regression analysis, bootstrapping was conducted to verify significance of mediating effect of self-efficacy. The main results are as follows. First, the variables, PJF, self-efficacy and organizational commitment showed a positive correlation. Second, PJF has a positive effect on self-efficacy and organizational commitment significantly. Also self-efficacy has a positive effect on organizational commitment significantly. Third, the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between PJF and organizational commitment is significant. In order to improve person-job fit, this study suggested that SMEs' owners should consider job rotation system and career development program for employees. Based on this study result and implications, we discussed limit of research and direction for future research.

In this study, Giorgi's phenomenological research method and an in-depth interview were used, and data was collected from seven participants in general hospital nurses who had experienced sexual harassment from August 6, 2022 to March 25, 2023. The main question used in the in-depth interview was "What does sexual harassment mean to you?". The transcribed data was analyzed according to the method presented by Giorgi through the stages including reading of the data, breaking of the data into some kind of parts, organization and expression of the data from a disciplinary perspective and synthesis or summary of the data for purposes of communication to the scholarly community. As a result, 159 meaning units, 37 essential psychological meanings, 13 sub-constituents, 5 constituents were drawn. The five components include 'exposed to the front line of sexual harassment', 'struggling alone', 'feeling abandoned from the organization', 'finding a way to get through together' and 'feeling changing'. Based on the above results, it is expected to prevent sexual harassment of nurses and provide basic data useful for preparing systematic intervention measures for them and improving the system.

  • Medical tour can be said to be a new high added-value tour industry of 21st century. The development of varied and distinguished medical tour products by each country will further vitalize the medical tour industry. As the interest in such medical tour increases, it is necessary to analyze the demand and interests of tourists accurately and prepare medical tour products to be provided in order to develop and promote medical tour products. The government considers the medical tour industry as an industry with high expected effects in job creation through promotion of experts in global healthcare industry and national economy development through high added-value creation, and has expanded aid policies in medical tour field with improvement of medical tour immigration system, one-stop service system for medical tourists, and medical tour labor force promotion system. Nevertheless, there are disputes between foreign patients and medical tour inviting businesses, along with medical accident disputes between foreign patients and medical staff and disputes with those working in the tourism industry. This article reviews the types of disputes occurring around the inviting businesses related to medical tours and tried to review the resolutions. Through this, it was found that medical tour inviting businesses have the responsibility to connect the mediated benefits and risks and also the responsibility to process the tasks. Thus, in case dispute occurs due to passive actions from establishing agency agreement to active mediation results, it is difficult to escape the liabilities. Also, in a medical tour agency contract, the inviting business must be aware that it bears the responsibility to explain and advise the details on benefits and risks to foreign patients. The "Guide to arbitration system for resolution of medical disputes with foreign patients" by Korea Health Industry Development Institute Act presents a method to resolve disputes according to the [laws on medical accident damage relief and medical dispute arbitration] in case a dispute due to medical accidents occurs to foreign patients when the foreign patients prepare diagnosis agreement, Whether such method is sufficient to protect foreign patients, however, is thought to require discussions from more diverse perspectives. In order to vitalize medical tourism, the development of diverse products is also important, but the countermeasures against related disputes should also be prepared. Such is expected to contribute to a greater advancement based on trust of foreign medical tourists alongside excellent medical technologies.

  • Public resistance is an essential factor of the democratization process. Due to this, public resistance has been recognized as an important element in discussing the democratization of China. Recently in China, and a new era of resistance especially the agrarian resistance has been being expanded. This paper identifies trends and characteristics of that. With searching changes in the relationship between the nation and the societies in China, we will check whether democratization can be built from the whole bottom of the nation's ideology or not. It is a paradox of china's economic growth that the peasant uprising increased is a factor to the growth. The farmers' smoldering discontent exploded with rage because rural communities have been forced to sacrifice during the growth. The authoritarian party-state system in China has been faced with the limits in calming the peasant revolt down with the traditional suppression and restriction. Even though the party-state system in China has accepted farmers' dissatisfaction somewhat, and it has tried to improve its image of a benevolent government and pursued buying stability strategy, the gap between urban and rural areas has been expanded in the sustainable economic development and modernization process, therefore the authorities could not soothe the farmers' sense of alienation. Accordingly, the peasant revolt has not flickered out easily, and has been getting uncontrolled across China. Resistance characteristics of Chinese farmers have also changed. In the past, they had been sporadic and indirect ways, whereas in recent years, they have changed into organized and active ways. Of course, it is generally evaluated that the party-state system has sustained a strong social control so far. Buying stability strategy has prevented farmers' complaints from spreading to a threat to its regime, because civil societies in rural areas have still weak foundations from being formed. The party-state system, because of tensions and conflicts, will control the growing powers of civil societies in rural areas with institutionalization of interaction between the nation and the societies, and they will induce street protests to legalized struggle for a while. However, the relationship between the state and the societies has already started new rearrangement, in terms of that the conflicts between the state and rural communities have continued, and the changes of resistance ways.

  • According to the available data, in these days, the number of medical accidents and disputes have significantly increased since 1990 in Korea. From this aspect, a variety of approaches and efforts to solve these problems is needed before it is too late. This study intended to identify the thoughts of patients who are directly connected with medical accidents and disputes and then to consider reasonable settlement methods of the increasing disputes. For achieving the purpose of this study, the self-administerd questionnaire was conducted with 450 out-patients who visited three university hospitals, five small and medium-sized hospitals, and ten clinics in Seoul from June 13 to 17, 2005. Incomplete questionnaires were omitted and 410 respondents(91%) were included for the analysis of this study. Each section of the survey was composed of six categories such as the recognition of malpractice, a compensation system about no-fault medical accidents, the recognition of the judgement of medical accidents in court, reasonable settlement of medical accidents, reasons of lawsuit, and the need of the medical dispute settlement organization. The major results of this study were as follows. First, more than half of the respondents, 51.9 percent, worry about malpractice. And many respondents think malpractice causes their symptoms to persist or become worse, and also some respondents think that the doctor's prescription changed too frequently. Second, as for a compensation system about no-fault medical accident, 55.7 percent of the respondents insist that a proper compensation for suffering patients or their families should be provided. And also as for the responsibility of compensation, respondents think joint compensation of both the medical institution and the government is needed foremost, followed by the medical insurance company and finally by the medical institution. The government as well as the related institutions should take responsibility for malpractice accidents for which the doctor is not responsible. Third, as for the acknowledgment of medical accident judgements by the court, 32.8 percent of respondents think that it is best to compromise with a medical institution, followed by lawsuit(26.2%), the assistance of civil organization(23.2%), and a powerful physical protest(7.6%). Fourth, as for the lawsuit of medical accidents, 62.9 percent of respondents think that patients and their families would be in a disadvantageous position in relation to medical institutions and doctors mentioning the lack of professional medical and lawful knowledge, experience and know-how as the reason. So many people have given up appeals owing to the difficulties involved in defending themselves through evidence. Fifth, about a half share of the respondents indicated that the medical institution's neglect of the responsibility of medical accidents is one of the most important reasons of lawsuit. And next respondents mentioned the lack of the medical dispute settlement organization and a general distrust of medical institutions and doctors. Sixth, a majority of respondents consented to the introduction of the need of the medical dispute settlement organization, And about a half of the respondents mentioned a readiness to accept the mediation of the organization, but the rest did not express a clear opinion. It seems that conflict among the parties concerned have existed in relation to the medical dispute settlement organization and related legislation for many years. But as this study has shown, the needs of the medical dispute settlement organization is in desperate demand. Therefore, more negotiation efforts from all interest groups should be considered for the birth of the medical dispute settlement organization and related legislation.
