Particulate contamination is known to be a significant cause of failures of removable storage media. In this work, The effect of particles on the surface damage of removable hard disk media was investigated. The particles of different materials and size were introduced to the head-disk interface using a particle injection system. It was found that the particles of particulate size and property serious damaged the media. This study showed that cleaning pad is effective for reducing particle contamination, except for the particles of specific size and property. As a means to removed the particles of specific size, the concept of using a stepped taper at the leading edge of the slider is proposed.

This paper proposes a method to estimate directly the incoherent scattered intensity and radar cross section (RCS) from the effective permittivity of a random media. The proposed method is derived from the original concept of incoherent scattering. The incoherent scattered field is expressed as a simple formula. Therefore, to reduce computation time, the proposed method can estimate the incoherent scattered intensity and RCS of a random media. To verify the potential of the proposed method for the desired applications, we conducted a Monte-Carlo analysis using the method of moments; we characterized the accuracy of the proposed method using the normalized mean square error (NMSE). In addition, several medium parameters, such as the density of scatterers and analysis volume, were studied to understand their effect on the scattering characteristics of a random media. The results of the Monte-Carlo analysis show good agreement with those of the proposed method, and the NMSE values of the proposed method and Monte-Carlo analysis are relatively small at less than 0.05.

In this competitive environment which changes rapidly na extensively we can perceive that the role of education is getting important more and more. The challenge that we face is how we can handle the information and convert it to the knowledge. A lot of schools have already tried to improve the effect of education by using the computers. Besides providing the content of education newly and interestingly the educational use of the integrated Media has a strong point in terms of efficiency and effectiveness that it is excellent in storage, communication, control and handling enormous information as well as in a peculiarity of reciprocity, the high usefulness of communicative education using the experience of vision, audition and simulation in the method of participating of students themselves in education that the previous media systems didn't have. This thesis brought up a substantial problem in producing the consequences of education for children by investigating the psychological and recognitional abilities of children and by understanding the essence of the Integrated Media. And this study provided the solution in terms of the content and the viewpoint in design to raise the educational efficiency and effectiveness of the Integrated Media even though it is just a partial solution.

This study emphasized the self-examination to using webmedia. Proliferation of media-mediated experience cause the reduce and infringe of human experience, and It is suggested to problem to negative operation for Self-identity. Expecially, A tendency of addictive using of Webmedia produce the serious anxiety. Based on this discussion, the relationship of web-media addictive experiences and Self-identity has been studied. There are 9 groups of panels who are divided by using degree of web media experience, the quantitative dimension and addictive involvement, the qualitative dimension. As a result high significance was suggested between the level of web-media addictive experience and Self-identity. Expecially, highly web media experienced group has less Self-identity than low web-media experience group. therefore, Concerns on Web-media mediated experiences were demonstrated. According to the results, in terms of web-media experiences, addictive involvement level affects more meaningfully to the Self-identity than quantitative dimension approach.

Preeminent water treatment plans are essential to preserve the water quality of aquatic biotopes. Previous studies have not been sufficient to provide cost-effective maintenance method since they focused only on the purification of deteriorated water that requires a continuous supply of clean water. This study proposes an economical method of water quality maintenance using water treatment media block constructed vertically using porous ceramics, zeolite, and river pebble. The water treatment media block does not require a separate purification area because it functions as a purifier within the ecological pond which can maximize the biotope area. To evaluate the performance of the water treatment media block, we longitudinally tracked the change of water quality indicators (pH, TDS, COND, DO, T-P, T-N, COD) suggested by Water Environment Standards, Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea. We compared the water quality of one control (A: general ecological pond composition method of the laminated structure) and two experimental groups (B: a combination of aquatic plants and a water treatment media block, C: a water treatment media block only). As a result, we confirmed that the water treatment media block is an efficient and economical method to maintaining the water quality of the ecological pond for a long time. The water treatment media block will be a great help in providing a better aquatic biotope space for aquatic insects and fishes living in clear water.

This study attempted to grasp the status and perception of Uljin Geumgangsong by grasping mass media issues and user perception using big data, and to present basic data when constructing monitoring using user perception by examining the establishment relationship of agenda setting from a time-series perspective. The results of collecting and analyzing text data that can identify mass media and visitor awareness are as follows. First, both mass media and visitor keywords were related to the importance of the value and meaning of Uljin Geumgangsong. Second, in the case of the connection network, Geumgang Pine Agriculture was centered, but in the case of difference in perception between mass media and visitors, such results were derived due to the object of interest. Third, in the case of the connection relationship structure, the connection strength was strong because there were many overlapping contents of mass media. Fourth, as a result of the centrality analysis, both mass media and visitor-aware keywords were positively recognized as spaces created and maintained through institutional support, and objective perception could be grasped by finding hidden keywords. Fifth, as a result of time series analysis, it was possible to grasp the flow through the issue keywords that appeared by period, and unlike the past, it was recognized as a place for tourism and travel. Finally, as a result of examining whether the agenda setting is consistent, there is a mass media influence, so it is thought that more diverse and more information and publicity are needed by utilizing it.

근접장 초해상 기술 중 대표적인 Super-RENS (Super Resolution Near Field Structure) 기술을 이용하여 25GB 용량의 BD(Blu-ray Disc) 다음 세대로 예상되는 100 ${\sim}$ 200 GB 용량의 Media 및 기록 재생 기기를 개발하고자 한다. 현재까지 이 기술의 어려움이었던 Stability 특성은 10만회 재생 내구성을 확인하엿고 CNR (신호 대 잡음 비) 특성은 50 nm 미세 마크에 대하여 40 dB의 특성을 확보 하였다. 이 특성은 대략 75 GB에 대응하는 것으로 BD System을 그대로 사용하면서 달성한 세계 최고의 기록 밀도로 평가된다. 향후 과제는 Jitter. Error Rate등 실제 신호 특성의 확보로서, 이의 확보를 통하여 기술의 상품화 가능성이 확인될 것이다.

This study sought to look at why Facebook and Twitter, which have dominated the social media market, are moving away from other services. To this end, we sought to identify the causes of churn in terms of firm-level strategic direction and resource allocation, which have not been actively presented to the studies. For this purpose, this study divides the social media firm's strategies into horizontal expansion strategy and vertical integration strategy based on the existing reports and researches, and how each of the representative firms' strategies affects users' switching behavior. As a result, there was a significant difference in the strategic direction of the social media firm, when a horizontal expansion strategy is taken, user's switching intention is higher than when a vertical integration strategy is taken. In addition, the switching intention according to the level of dependence showed that the lower the dependence on social media, the higher the intention to switch to other media. The findings are expected to provide highly realistic and concrete strategic alternatives for a variety of economic actors, such as individuals and companies who want to do business using social media.

In this paper, we propose a DNN based speech detection system using acoustic characteristics and context information of media audio. The speech detection for discriminating between speech and non-speech included in the media audio is a necessary preprocessing technique for effective speech processing. However, since the media audio signal includes various types of sound sources, it has been difficult to achieve high performance with the conventional signal processing techniques. The proposed method improves the speech detection performance by separating the harmonic and percussive components of the media audio and constructing the DNN input vector reflecting the acoustic characteristics and context information of the media audio. In order to verify the performance of the proposed system, a data set for speech detection was made using more than 20 hours of drama, and an 8-hour Hollywood movie data set, which was publicly available, was further acquired and used for experiments. In the experiment, it is shown that the proposed system provides better performance than the conventional method through the cross validation for two data sets.

Recently, malicious code infiltration and leakage of confidential documents using external USB medium are frequently occurring in each field. We investigate the media to investigate incidents using external USB media, but there are many difficulties in that they can be lost or damaged. Ultimately, in order to investigate cases of external USB media, it is necessary to conduct a direct analysis of the external USB media as well as the system to which the media is connected. This paper describes an analysis of the artifacts of Windows systems to which external USB media is connected, and how to check the job history on the media. Therefore, it is expected that the system can be used to analyze the job history of the USB medium even if the external USB medium is not secured.
