  • This study analyzed the regulations concerning odor management or control in Korea, Japan, and developed countries such as USA and Germany. The Korean restriction standards and measurement methods for offensive odor substances are very similar to the Japanese standards and methods promulgated in 1976. Japan promulgated the odor control act and the specific measurement methods of the offensive odor substances in 1973. In Japan, currently, the local governments can establish their own odor restriction areas and proclaim their own standards suitable for their situations. Also, Japan has more strict regulations and more offensive odor substances to be monitored than Korea. The restriction standards of odor in German is quite similar to the permissible limits and standards of air pollutants at emission sources in Korea. Many states in USA are adopting their own restriction standards and measurement methods, e.q., the ambient air pollution standards, organic functionstest methods by dilation, and establishment and addition of air pollution control equipment at emission sources. Finally, this study analyzed the problems of the regulations, standards, and measurement methods concerning the Korean offensive odor management. Since the direct organic fuctions measurement(DOFMM) method is depending upon the personal sensitives of odor substances, the measurement odor value can be equivocal. That is, the odor measurement value by an examines can differ from that by the other examines. Also, there can be conflicts with the measured odor values depending upon the applied measurement methods, e.q., the DOFMM, the dilation method, and the instrumental analysis method.

  • This study aims to examine the effects of integrated performance measurement on firm success of beverage businesses in Thailand. Integrated performance measurement, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, and firm success are the main variables of the study. In this study, all 653 beverage businesses from Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand are the samples of the study. The data collection was provided during February - April, 2016. A mail survey procedure via questionnaire was used for data collection. 163 responses were received. Of the surveys completed and returned, 159 were usable. The structural equation model (SEM) is conducted to examine the effects of integrated performance measurement on organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and firm success. The results show that integrated performance measurement positively influences organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and firm success. Organizational commitment positively affects both organizational citizenship behavior and firm success while organizational citizenship behavior positively impacts firm success. In summary, integrated performance measurement as a strategic management accounting approach is a key determinant of firms' business outcome. Firms need to support their resources and capabilities in developing, implementing, utilizing, and maintaining integrated performance measurement. Potential discussion, conclusion, and suggestions and directions for future research are highlighted.

  • This paper is presented to prepare NGN quality assurance management process under the quality system test methodology. The process should be drawn for NGN quality measurement framework of multimedia traffic. NGN test bed management process model are QoS measurement metrics, measurement interval meter above, and measuring tools, measuring equipment, measurement methods and measurement results from a series of processes for the analysis and methodology. This model, NGN quality assurance activities should be utilized in the future. Quality target level only when themselves constantly measured and managed, does not guarantee the communication quality of service. It is sensitive to the importance of NGN network technology paradigm for research on quality management in the NGN.

  • Many studies on the SCM related topics have been carried out during the last decade. However, most of research focused on identifying critical success factors of SCM with collaborations between partners. There have been a need for the integrated SCM success model and for identifying indicators of SCM performance measurement. In this study, we suggest the SCM success model classifying 5 aspects with key indicators for measurement. The suggested model can be applied to the measurement of SCM success.

  • Even though there have been a surge in demand for Internet addresses, but the existing IPv4 addresses are virtually depleted. Therefore, the conversion of IPv6 is being made consistently and the need for systematic situation grasp for IPv6 adoption through the measurement index of the IPv6 is on the rise. This study investigated domestic and overseas IPv6 usage measurement techniques and cases. Through evaluating existing measurement indices, this study derives the improved indices of measuring IPv6 usage and proposes the implementation methods of them.

  • In this paper we describe SLA metrics and software architecture for newly upcoming IP TV service. Firstly we show the general description for IP TV. This consists of brief description of IP TV, the general figure of configuration and elements of IP TV network and communication protocol stack of IP TV data transmission for deriving communication quality parameter. And we propose SLA metrics depending on quality measurement point. According to the measurement point the measurable SLA metrics are different. The total view of the IP TV SLA measurement and management architecture is shown. When the quality measurement point is the routers that consist of internet node, the IP media NMS is the quality collection system. And when the quality measurement point is the IP TV STB(Set-Top Box), the IP media collector and Quality Collection Server are the quality collection system. And we show the software block diagram of IP TV SLA processing system and the other related network management systems.

  • The Purpose of this study is to grasp the general effects of measurement-related investment by industrial firms. We presupposed the hypothesis that the measurement-related investment affects the decrease of product inferiority rates and analyzed the investigation results by means of PIMS(Profit Improvement of Market Strategy) model. As the results, we found out that the firms with positive measurement-related investment showed for less inferiority rates of products considerably. This study put an emphasis on the verification results showing that the considerable increase of measurement-related investment decreases the product inferiority rate by the statistical methods.

  • The research proposes the three-factor random measurement models for estimating the precision about operator, part, tool, and various measurement environments. The combined model with crossed and nested factors is developed to analyze the approximate F test by degrees of freedom given by Satterthwaite and point estimation of precisions from expected mean square. The model developed in this paper can be extended to the three useful models according to the type of nested designs. The study also provides the three-step procedures to evaluate the measurement precisions using three indexes such as SNR(Signal-To-Noise Ratio), R&R TR(Reproducibility&Repeatability-To-Total Precision Ratio), and PTR(Precision-To-Tolerance Ratio), The procedures include the identification of resolution, the improvement of R&R reduction, and the evaluation of precision effect.

  • This paper considers the problem of selecting the most profitable process mean for production processes where measurement errors exist in inspection systems. For such situations, a sequential inspection procedure is proposed to reduce measurement errors. The decision to accept, reject, or take an additional inspection of an item is made at every measurement point until the number of repeated measurements reaches its upper bound. An expected profit model is constructed and the optimal process mean, the cut-off values, and the upper bound of the number of repeated measurements are obtained when accepted(rejected) items are sold at regular(reduced) price. A numerical study is performed to investigate the performance of the proposed procedure.

  • So far. the common elasticity data of textile fabrics has not been present because the method depends on the knowledge of measurement operators. In this paper, the new measurement equipment using road cel1 is presented to measure the coefficient of textile fabrics in real time. The measurement method is based on the volta among textile fabrics. The textiles with strong elasticity are high voltage produced from others are low. The presented method can be applied to visualize the textile, sew the cloth, control textile fabrics. Also. these measurement datum are used to B2B electronic trading system.
