  • The purpose of this study was to examine the experience of child rearing in the life of school counselors and what this experience signified to them based on the narrative, a qualitative research method. For this study, two women who have at least eight year long experience, who work as school counselors and who have the experience of rearing their children during adolescence were selected as research subjects. They were subjected to interview and the following research results were drawn out. School counselors' child rearing experience was composed by focusing on the time, society and place, which are referred to as the Three-dimensional narrative investigation space. School counselors "discerned" that the experience of getting reared by original family exerts effect on children. After counseling study, they wished to "become a sufficiently good rearer" who strives to cultivate ideal parent-child relations by understanding their children after undergoing the phase of "self-reflection and apology" for discipline and forced attitude. Moreover, they were transforming into "genuine counselor" through experience based insight, and this in turn includes the meaning of "I, who function intactly."

  • 20th century music has been recognized as disconnected. Some criticized that it is not music. This controversy has been continued over decades in music history. This study applied Darwin's evolutionary theory to John Cage's 4'33", the most popular music in 20th century and tried to prove musical continuity embedded in it. 4'33" has always been a subject of controversy because it has no sound. However, the study found out that 4'33" has the common musical factor, the rest. 4'33" can be interpreted as the variation of the rest in evolutionary view. The rest has undergone a variety of variations in form and meaning since the beginning of the musical notation and was suitable for a new musical environment changed in 20th century. In the evolutionary view, 4'33" is evolved music, not disconnected.

  • Recently, one of the issues to be discussed from the viewpoint of product management in National R&D Programs is about the management of intellectual property produced by joint research and development. According to existing legislative system, the main R&D institute and collaborative enterprise own the patent produced by joint R&D activities together at the rate of investment. But, there are many discussions if that is right in legal principles and in substance. Patents by Cooperative National R&D Programs are very different from common patents because of its characteristics and have scheme controlled complexly by related laws and ordinances. This paper aims to review the legal theory on the possession and utilization of patents produced by Cooperative National R&D Programs, and to try to find out the improvement of existing legislative system. For this purpose, after looking into the meaning and the legal system of Cooperative National R&D Programs, and examining the ruling theory on the possession and utilization of co-invented patent, finally research the problems and improvement of existing related legislative system.

  • We all know that we can not keep a proper social life without language. Yet language is so much a part of our environment that we hardly realize it is there. The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding of the linguistical aspect of communication process in order to carry out a successful human relations in the operation of libraries. Human development rests upon man's capacity to digest large quantities of knowledge and it is language which allows facts to be communicated, stored, and disseminated. An attempt was made in this study to illustrate the elementary meaning-of-words aspect of communication. In order to share the most commonly agreed meanings in interpersonal communication, a careful study of semantic noises is important. In a constant struggle to meet client needs, staff and administrators, librarian must understand communication dialogues, their messages and be able to read all level of meanings. In order to perform a successful function of the librarian, to act as a link-man or communicator and to cope with its ever growing information, it is suggested that the deep understanding of the following linguistical aspect of communication elements is essential. 1. Characteristics of Language: (1) Words have different meanings to different people. (2) Words vary in the degree of abstraction. (3) Language is incomplete by its nature. (4) Language reflects not only the personality of the individual but also the culture of man's society. 2. Noises in transmitting meanings: (1) Mechanical or Technical noises. (2) Semantic Noises (3) Noises caused by the psychological factors a. attention b. perception, sensation, cognition and perceptual field. 3. Linguistic Stratum Languages differ considerably in vocabulary by the physical and cultural environment setting as well as situation of individual living. There are seven different language stratum which reflects different region, sex, age, profession, special social stratum, academic and tabooed words.

  • Layered Architecture is a kind of nodule decomposition techniques, which decomposes a program by generality This paper proposes a ]aver based method for recovering layered architecture from object-oriented program and checking conformance against architectural document. To specify the rules for layered style in object-oriented program, we define a partially ordered set on modules by module use relationship and module layer relationship by module override relationship. The meaning of module layer relationship is explained with an example from design patterns. Steps to recover layered architecture from program are described and a metamodel for the recovery is proposed. Architecture recovery is performed on source codes from open-source software project, and the implication of parts that do not conform to its architectural document is discussed. As a result of checking, it is pointed out that, although the parts are considered allowable exceptions of layered architecture, their modifications should be controlled carefully.

According to the result of this study, Eco-friendly Contemporary Han-ok adaptable to the natural environment feature focused on the local climate was proposed based on the tradition of mountainous territory housing in Gangwon-do. In addition, proposed Mountainous Han-ok in Gangwon-do planned to keep the out feature of traditional Korean Han-ok and have the environmental control system same as traditional Korean Han-ok. Despite of several limits, this study has the meaning in terms of propose the prototype of adaptable contemporary han-ok based on the Natural Environment Characteristics of Mountainous Territory and regional tradition in Gangwon-do in cognition of local natural environment difference. the proposal of contemporary han-ok as the result of this study will give a support to the wide planning of Han-ok and the development plan of contemporary Han-ok.

However, the controversy over the concept of danger has hitherto focused on the limit establishment, namely which scope is to be a target of prevention in the danger prevention area of the Police Law. After all, the police's duty for maintaining public peace and order is forced to be performed through individual measures for danger prevention, and the preventive police action, which aims at the prevention of danger against the protection interest in the Police Law, can be performed on the premise of a precise understanding of danger in order to carry out a legitimate preventive police action. In addition, it examines the legal meaning in each constitution element by dividing the minimum common components of danger into loss, sufficient probability and time accessibility, and the interpretation problem of danger as uncertainty concept.

  • Photography has been used as a typical tool of recording image since its invention in the nineteenth century. Photographs provide valuable visual information about all parts of society, and a systematic management must be preceded to use these information. The management and preservation system of photographs should reflect the characteristics of photographic medium. It is necessary for many archives to perform appraisal first to collect and manage enormous photographs. Appraisal is the process of determining meaning and value of records, and the reasonable criteria should be needed to carry it out. The purpose of this study is to suggest appraisal criteria for photographic records based on the archival appraisal theories and the characteristics of photography. This study draws on traditional appraisal theories and some literatures for archival management of photographs. This study is organized as follows. The first section examines the concept and values of photographic records and the distinctiveness of appraising photographs. The second section analyzes the existing appraisal criteria for individual records. The third section designs appraisal classes of photographic records and proposes the criteria for each classes.

  • The relative contributions of overland-flow and stream-flow to the response process at the basin scale are evaluated in the present study. The moments of GIUH models were applied to the data of the Bocheong watershed in the Geum river basin in Korea in order to discuss the feasibility. The GIUH model derived in this study consists of the stream path and overland region. The characteristic velocities for the flows between two cases mentioned above make a clear distinction as expected and would have more physical meaning than the ones of the model by Rodriguez-Iturbe and Valdes(1979). The path lengths of overland for each stream order are nearly constant, whereas the case of stream is shown to grow larger according to the basin sizes. As a result, the overall basin response process was founded out to be greatly under the influence of the hydrodynamic behavior of overland, and its behavior is suggested to be further researched for catching the broader meanings.
