The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning and the function of the shared space in the existing multi-family housing through analyzing the reality and resident's requirement for it, and additionally to develop the research project to investigate its activation strategy. The method of this study was through analyzing the related literature and the existing study. The followings were found out from this study concerning the shared space: 1) Both the supplier and resident of multi-family housing started to recognize the importance of its role with relation to the quality of the home environment. 2) In residents' requirements for it, there was its common elements, and selective differences according to the size of housing, life cycle, and whether housewife has a job or not etc. 3) In order to activate the shared space, we need to search abut using behavior for that, its flexibility of housing regulations, and to develop an effective management program. Finally this study emphasized on the necessity of planning focused on the shared space for the community design in multi-family housing.

The purpose of this study is a development of $teaching{\cdot}learning$ program based on interior design WBI. WBI's meaning is Web Based Instruction. There can be several procedures that should be designed at the first step: Analyzing, Designing, Building, Testing, Recycling. These stages are constructed based on the theory of procedure about the computer and the $teaching{\cdot}learning$. Each stage is presented the contents of development, the contents of main, the method advantages and problem solving. These procedures and contents of development are the research method simultaneously with the result. Upon the completion of the system, it should undergo the same process continuously so that it can improve over a period of time, contribute to the interior design of students. In addition continuously repetitive requirements pop up in the phase. And it is necessary for this program try to map out a strategy developing and a policy support from university. It's very important that develop the contents of interior design from professor, students and field professor.

In this article the meanings and usages of Korea dwelling space terms were studied by reviewing the Korean literatures to clarify their meanings. Korean literatures were selected by era. The sentences which describes the dwelling space were classified and analyzed from the viewpoint of their usage. The terms about the locations and the directions were analyzed and also the terms about the size of the spatial structures were studied. From this study the followings can be suggested: 1) New terms on 'bang' should be developed 2) The origin of the term 'an-bang' should be clarified and also the meaning and the value of it should be studied more throughly. 3) The differences between western dwelling space terms and Korean dwelling space terms should be studied. 4) Analyzing Korean dwelling space terms it was found out that the dwelling space terms were made and used by the rank of family members.

Current city that we live in exist many modern architecture have historical meaning and high value. This modern architecture is disappearing because study - definite thesis of concept, division of the time - of preservation wasn't advanced fully and we have the feeling of being victimzed for Japanese imperialism, in addition to lack of recognition for cultural treasure value. These days, a growing number of people tend to focus on preservation and uses of cultural properties including mordern architectures. Therefore, this study aims to figure out constructive uses of mordern architectures by purposing analysis and preservation methods with a selected architectures which deserve to be conserved.

It has been representing the delicate changes which express new sentiments through the floating, fluid, free look with the transparent, sheer material in fashion during the early 1990's. The concept of lightness is selected to describe the phenomenon of recent fashion. The purpose of this study is to identify the distinctive characteristics of lightness as external forms and internal meaning in fashion of the early 1990's. The data were collected from fashion magazines such as American Vogue, Italian Vogue from 1987 to 1994. The characteristics of lightness of fashion in the early 1990's are as follows; The external forms are consisted of the material such as the transparent, sheer, soft material, of slim and bell silhouette which occupying the more space in bottom, of the drapery, pleats to shape the unfitted look and is identified as the open, whole, indeterminate and planar intergration form according to the category of clothing form suggested by Belong. It is also the reflection of the social changes which is getting out of the modernity. It is the results of the dominant social state which are diffused the sensual pleasures, transitoriness.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning structure of Korean costume image in contemporary Korean fashion design expressed beauty of traditional dress. This study compared Korean and American regarding the evaluation of Korean costume image. The result was as follows; 1. The constructing factors of Korean costume image were found out as elegance, simplicity, neatness, femineity, looseness. (total variance; 62%) 2. The visual evaluation between Korean and American were sinificantly different regarding 5 factors. 3. Korean costume design were classified 4 clusters. Korean traditional fabrics and colors were commonly used in the 4 clusters. Difference of design were found in the structure of form. Formation of Korean costume image were influenced by silhouette and pattern of fabric. 4. Image of 'Would like to purchase' were influenced by image of taste.

All kinds of artwork, including multimedia and digital image that has been subliminated into an af mediating two numbers 0 and 1 in recent age, are self-sufficient and autonomous in themselves. Nevertheless, each of those artworks can be realized as a real entity only if its appreciator is capable enough to explore some potential meaning out of it through his or her own perceptual work. According to Mikel Dufrenne, an artwork is composed of three existential tiers: "le sensible" or the sensible material; "fe representation" or the subject(le sujet), and "1′expression." Dufrenne contends that our esthetic perception can be realized by way of three steps that are comparable to those three tiers: perception of the presence of the body("le sensible"), contemplative perception by way of imagination("le representation"), and reflective perception ("1′expression") as a result of dialectics of sense and sensibility. This paper argues on the aesthetic perception with regard to digital image expressed by two numbers 0 and 1, putting focus on the epistemological role of sensibility(감) that explores "1′expression" a la Dufrenne.

Purpose: This study was to identify the meaning of the experience of 'well-being' of female college students in Korea and provide fundamental materials to improve nursing interventions. Methods: The participants were six female students who gave consent to participate in this study. This study was conducted between August 2006 and November 2006. Each interview took one to three hours. The contents of the interviews were recorded and dictated afterwards. In addition, the interviews were carried out such a way that the gathered information was sufficiently saturated. The data was analyzed with the phenomenological analytic method suggested by Giorgi (1985). Results: As a result of analysis, the following have been identified.: proper dietary treatment, proper physical treatment, harmonized psychological treatment, environmental-friendly treatment, and hypersensitivity to the mass media. Conclusions: The finding of this study offers profound information on the 'well-being' of female college students in Korea and provides fundamental materials to improve the quality of nursing interventions.

In this paper, on the assumption that the dispute about the identity of Oriental Medicine(OM) will finally act as an developmental element of Oriental Medicine otherwise total Korean Medicine, at first we think about what are he meaning of identity and it's essential elements, and search how to establish the standard of the identity of Oriental Medicine. From this working, the direction of the research in the Oriental Medical Classics that is one of the detail field in OM will be drawn out. The identity of Oriental Medicine must be decided according to what is the mission or existence value contributing for Korean Society, not to the form of materiality or immateriality. The core of the identity of Oriental Medical Classics is relevant to being a help to other research fields through reinterpreting the Classics. And the most important issue of research are the analysis of thinking pattern In OM, and systematization of OM knowledge and information.

The Japanese style official residence were built by Chosun bank during the Japanese colonial period. The purpose of this study is to find out the architectural meanings of Chosun bank's official residence, its influences on Korean modem dwellings through trace of the original form and actual survey on the residence. We could understand influences of the rationality, also through the process of prototype's transformation and maintenance's change, we can know that the residence's modernizing process don't have the inflow onesidedly but the process of the collision and the assimilation to the differences between the residential sense and one's culture.
