I designed a dietary life kitchen utensils which is focused by the shape of split bamboo that has meaning of health and safety and the shaman who is the religion and incantation performer, and who solve problems, which are impossible to solve in common methods, by borrowing the power and granting the meaning which is connected with transcendent existence and principal. Having closest relation with human being's diet culture is being changed with adding beauty instead of the part of simple practical aspect in our normal life. I tried to show incantation effect with keeping the characteristic of kitchen utensils by granting the symbolic meaning of shamanism which is the shelter that is projected the desire of human beings. the materials were produced of an ebony and steel and varnished with lacquer for coloring. For hand shape, which is hard to treat in irregular forms, the religious image of shamanism was formed by casting which expresses the touch of an ebony and the cold characteristic of metal. an overall design doesn't detail excessively distort or largely transform the form of dietary utensils, keeps its individuality, and emphasizes the image by figuring a grip part which a human can see and a body can approach. in addition, I try to show a point that shamanism has affected human life for long time and symbolic meaning of bamboo-shape shows health and safety. And these things vest with each dietary life tools and should be the role of enzyme about the effect of human life.

A multitude of neologisms has entered the lexicon of modern Chinese society as a reflection of the changes modern Chinese society has undergone, and amid this trend, a variety of color terms has emerged. However, these neologisms of color terms in modern Chinese society are used somewhat differently from their roots. First, the achromatic color terms used in Chinese neologisms include black, white, and gray. The significance criteria generally used in these neologisms of color terms only partially express their meaning in the modern Chinese language. Second, the frequency usage of significant criteria of color terms that have emerged in Chinese neologisms reveals a relative distribution between color terms referring to black and white. The color term "black" is the most active neologism to connote its expanded meaning, followed by its basic meaning. However, the color term "white" is most actively used to connote its basic meaning, followed by its expanded meaning. Third, among the achromatic color terms used in Chinese neologisms, black and gray exhibit expansion of meaning. For example, in the context of neologisms, the color term "black" is used to symbolize "in disaster areas" and "socially discriminated against," while "gray" is used to symbolize the "social aspect."

This paper describes how to disambiguate the aspectual meaning of Japanese expression "-te iru" in Japanese-Korean machine translation Due to grammatical similarities of both languages, almost all Japanese- Korean MT systems have been developed under the direct MT strategy, in which the lexical disambiguation is essential to high-quality translation. Japanese has a progressive aspectual marker “-te iru" which is difficult to translate into Korean equivalents because in Korean there are two different progressive aspectual markers: "-ko issta" for "action progressive" and "-e issta" for "state progressive". Moreover, the aspectual system of both languages does not quite coincide with each other, so the Korean progressive aspect could not be determined by Japanese meaning of " te iru" alone. The progressive aspectural meaning may be parially determined by the meaning of predicates and also the semantic meaning of predicates may be partially reshicted by adverbials, so all Japanese predicates are classified into five classes : the 1nd verb is used only for "action progrssive",2nd verb generally for "action progressive" but occasionally for "state progressive", the 3rd verb only for "state progressive", the 4th verb generally for "state progressive", but occasIonally for "action progressive", and the 5th verb for the others. Some heuristic rules are defined for disambiguation of the 2nd and 4th verbs on the basis of adverbs and abverbial phrases. In an experimental evaluation using more than 15,000 sentances from "Asahi newspapers", the proposed method improved the translation quality by about 5%, which proves that it is effective in disambiguating "-te iru" for Japanese-Korean machine translation.translation quality by about 5%, which proves that it is effective in disambiguating "-te iru" for Japanese-Korean machine translation.anslation.

The perceptual change and reproduction process of a space is distinguished from the difference between the Modem Times and the digitalized Post-modem Times. According to this changing aspect, the dwelling. concept is also progressed toward the escapeness from the regularly standardized settlement. But, as written above, the escapable dwelling behavior pattern is re-territorizated through new restriction and domination system. Among the newly re-territorized dwelling areas, the virtual space that included human being's equal in the contemporary meaning has already been on the surface in our daily life, it has been enlarging into all kinds of activity. The virtual space has the possibility to extend beyond a already well-used to physical space and time unlimitedly. But, owing to the ambiguous boundary between the real space and the virtual space, it is getting more important to define the spatial substance in the Digital Age. From now on, especially, the academical fields like a Architecture and a Interior Design that dealed with a living space have to give it a great shot. What I really want to say is that various approach about the space itself with the help of many sorts of so-called a Case Study could be a diversity & uniqueness out of a typical point of view about the study handling on space and time.

This study researched the symbolic meaning of the costume colors in the independent film . The purpose of the study is to shed light on the relation between a film and the clothing color by exploring the symbolic meaning of costume colors as based on place images and as reflected in characters' internal psychological states and situations. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the colors primarily presented were neutral shades of black and white or dark, almost-black tones, representing the negative narrative structure and depicting the image of a human being. Second, a series of bright blue shades were presented to reflect the positive narrative structure of a human being returning successfully to reality. Third, the application of color, involving both the psychological aspect as well as the symbolism of color, was effectively delivered to the audience. Fourth, the emphasis on color in the smallest details of costumes was analyzed, and it was found that symbolic color effectively communicated the whole image of transformation as the story progressed, clearly delivered delicate emotional messages, and contained symbolism relating to particular places and situations.

We can see various cultural elements appeared in modern fashion, of which Korean traditional cultural elements are being reinterpreted in many different ways. This study is to analyse on the basis of togetherness concept Korean traditional elements, which have been considered difficult to interpret by postmodernism and find the ways how to carry on our traditional culture practically in order to prepare the foundation for globalization of our tradition. Togetherness means 'with' or 'simultaneously', which also conveys the meaning of common cause and result, addition and annex, opposition and juxtaposition, or accumulation and integration. Characteristics of the togetherness appeared in Korean fashion are as follows. First of all, it shows the aspect of mixing and integration of different cultural fashion elements around the globe, which have been made possible in the course of globalization and development of information technology. The second characteristic is crossing and synchronization, which means that many different individual fashion elements in terms of time and space are being crossed over and integrated these days. Thirdly, continuation meaning 'without cease' and 'keep going' shows that togetherness is to create a whole new fashion trend by mixing postmodern revivalism and past clothing elements. Togetherness makes it possible for us to find reasons why tradition aspects are expressed so vividly in the modern clothing, gives us a standard to classify the reasons, establishes an identity and offers theoretical background for globalization of traditional clothing in the course of modernization of our tradition.

Representation has been main topic in teaching and learning mathematics for a long time. Moreover, teachers' deficiency of representation about fraction results in teaching algorithms without conceptual understanding. So, this paper was conducted to investigate and analysize the elementary preservice mathematics teachers' representation about fraction. 38 elementary preservice mathematics teachers participated in this study. This study results showed that, the only model of a fraction that was familiar to the preservice teachers was the part of whole one. And research showed that, they solved the problems about fraction well using algorithms but seldom express the sentence which illustrates the meaning of the operation by a fraction. Specially, the division aspect of a fraction was not familiar nor readily accepted. It menas that preservice teachers are used to using algorithms without a conceptual understanding of the meaning of the operation by a fraction. This results give us some implications. Most of all, teaching programs in preservice mathematics teachers education have to devise to form a network among the concepts in relation to fraction. And we must emphasize how to teach and what to teach in preservice mathematics teachers education course. Finally, we have to invent the various materials which can be used to educate both preservice teachers and elementary school students. If we want to improve the mathematical ability of students, we will concentrate preservice teachers education.

A leisure culture in the modern society is the measure of a value in one's life and has a symbolic meaning which reflects the aspect of a society where an individual belongs to. Therefore, the leisure is not a simple pleasure but has an critical meaning of expressing the culture of a country. In particular, the theme park leads the public amusement in the modern society using the cutting-edge equipments on a large scale in the postmodernism society being lead by the public. Nonetheless, Korea imports the theme parks of the same type as the Disney land of the Western Europe so that Korea depends on the foreign country in the leisure field. Therefore, in this study, the basic property of the theme park is investigated and the issues of Korean theme park will be revealed through the comparison of Korean theme park to foreign theme parks. In order to solve these issues, it points out that the concept of Korean traditional leisure space has inclusive and upgraded characteristics with many meanings, compared with the concept of the leisure space of foreign countries. . Based on this, the new concept of Korean theme park's space will be proposed. Specially, it is empathized that Korean own originality and credit should be preserved and Korean traditions should be succeeded.

Generally, a speaker structures utterances very clearly by grouping words into phrases. This facilitates the listener's recovery of the meaning of the utterance and the speaker's intention. To this purpose, a speaker uses, among other things, prosodic information such as intonation pause, duration, intensity, etc. The research described here is concerned with the relationship between the strength of prosodic boundaries in spoken utterances as perceived by untrained listeners(Perceptual boundary strength, PBS)-In this paper, the preceptual boundary strength is used as the same meaning of the prosodic boundary strength-and prosodic information. We made a rule determinating the prosodic boundaries and verified the usefulness of the prosodic phrase as a recognition unit. Experiments results showed that the performance of speech recognition(SR) is improved in aspect of recognition rate and time compared with that using sentences as recognition unit. In the future we will suggest the methods that estimate more appropriate boundaries and study more various methods of prosody assisted SR.

It is not easy to understand that the drama with various aspects of political-economics and psychology in a certain popular cultural contents. People, however, does want to reconstruct the meaning of the real world and the hyper - reality, it means cross of oldness and newness, through the films. We try to analyze in religious/philosophical aspect with hybrid narrative, characters and condensed meaning in series. This try shows a good example way of understanding series which on the border line of newness and oldness.
