Dielectric Constant Anomaly near the Consolute Point of a binary Mixture of MEEP and water (상전이 온도 근처에서 관찰되는 MEEP-물로 구성된 두 종류 섞임체의 유전상수 비정상성)

  • Dielectric constant was measured near the consolute point of a binary mixture of water and Poly[bis(methoxyethoxyethoxy)phosphazene], MEEP. Dielectric constant changed incontinously at phase separation temperature plotted against the concentration to abtain coexistence curve. The critical temperatures and the critical concentration were $71^{\circ}C$, 5.5% as determined from the coexistence curve, respectivley. The critical exponent of dielectric constant, $\theta$, was 0.85. The dependence of dielectric constant on frequency is discussed in this report.

  • Accelerated electric charge is the source of electromagnetic waves. If electric charge is accelerated, the electric field set up by the electric charge is also accelerated. A changing electric field produces a changing magnetic field and the changing magnetic field produces an electric field and the process is self-perpetuating. The lines of B as well as E thus occurred form closed loops that move away from the source with speed c. These traveling electric and magnetic fields. which are strongly interdependent, constitute electromagnetic radiation. All the properties of electromagnetic waves can be deduced mathematically from Maxwell's equations.

A Study on the Langmuir-Blodgett Films of Polyamic Acid Monolayer Containing p-Nitroazobenzene (p-Nitroazobenzene을 함유한 Polyamic Acid 단분자층의 Langmuir-Blodgett 막에 관한 연구)

  • Displacement current measuring technique has been applied on the study of polyamic acid monolayer containing p-nitroazobenzene. The displacement current was generated from monolayer on the water surface by monolayer compression and expansion. Maxwell displacement current(MDC) was generated when the area per molecule was about $200{\AA}^2$ and $70{\AA}^2$. Maxwell displacement currents were investigated in connection with monolayer compression cycles. It was found that the maximum of MDC appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles. The monolayer surface morphology of the LB film have been measured by Atomic Force Microscope(AFM). As a result, we confirmed that the microscopic properties of LB film by AFM showed the good orientation of monolayer molecules and the thickness of monolayer was 3.5-4.1nm.

Rheological Properties of Cowpea and Mung Bean starch Gels and Pastes (동부와 녹두전분 Gel 및 Paste의 Rheological Properties)

  • Rheological properties of cowpea and mung bean starch gels and pastes were investigated and compared with Instron Universal Testing machine and Brabender Viscometer. As the result of puncture test of gels, yield point force of mung bean starch gel was higher than that of cowpea starch gel. Compression coefficient of cowpea starch gel calculated by Bourne's equation was lower than that of mung bean starch gel. the stress relaxation test showed that viscoelastic properties of cowpea and mung bean starch gels may be represented by six element Maxwell model consisting of three Maxwell element in parallel. Cowpea and mung bean starch pastes showed bingham pseudoplastic behavior in 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8%. The consistency index in 7∼8% of cowpea starch paste were lower than those of mung bean starch paste. concentration dependence on consistency index and yield stress in mung bean starch were higher than those of cowpea starch. The yield stress of starch pastes was significantly correlated with yield point force by puncture test (r=0.996).

  • The microwave dielectric properties of the complex perovskite (Pb0.5Ca0.5)(Fe0.5Ta0.5)O3 ceramics were investigated with the porosity and the dielectric mixing rule. Assuming that the specimens were mixtures of real dielectrics and pores, with 3-0 connectivity, the ionic polarizabilities modified by Maxwell's equation were more close to the theoretical values rather than those modified by Wiener's equation in porous specimens. The theoretical dielectirc loss were obtained with the infrared reflectivity spectra from 50 to 4000cm-1, which were calculated by Kramers-Kronig analysis and classical osciallator model. The relative tendency of dielectric loss calculated from the theoretical value and Maxwell's equation in the specimens with different porosities was in good agreement with the one by the post resonant method.

  • According to industrial development, all fields using chemical instrument and material are generated an electrostatics. Electrostatic problems were very important part to all these components, moving system, printer, clothe machines etc. This paper was represented an analysis of electrostatic electrification by FEM (finite element method) of industrial type Inkjet plotter. Here electrostatics distribution analysis is accomplished by Maxwell-2D. We are showed an electrostatics generation source by rubbing and meager profits of electric charge. It know electronic values with each system position by experiment. These are decreased through earth and electricity shielding. Therefore this paper is proved by the simulation and experiment result.

  • In recent, there have been several developments in lamp technology that promise savings in electrical power consumption and improved quality of the lighting space. Above all, the advantage of ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamp is the removal of internal electrodes and heating filaments that are a light-limiting factor of conventional fluorescent lamps. Therefore, the life time of ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamps is substantially higher than that of conventional fluorescent lamps and last up to 60,000 hours and is intended as a high efficacy replacement for the incandescent reflector lamp in many applications. In this paper, maxwell 3D finite element analysis program (Ansoft) was used to obtain electromagnetic properties associated with the coil and nearby structures. The electromagnetic emitting properties were presented by D simulation software operated at 250KHz and some specific conditions. Photometric characteristic of the ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamp were investigated using LS-100 lightmeter and TA-0510 thermometer respectively.

  • It is very difficult to measure inductance more accurately than 0.1% by the general AC bridges. A Maxwell-Wien bridge system has been developed for establishment and propagation of the national inductance standards. In results of its capability analysis, the accuracy of this bridge system was obtained up to ${\pm}$200 ppm for the present.

  • Maxwell displacement current(MDC) was generated when the area per molecule was about 140${\AA}$$^2$and 100${\AA}$$^2$. MDC were investigated in connection with monolayer compression cycles. It was found that the maximum of MDC appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles. The absorption spectra of polyamic acid containing p-methoxyazobenzene in a mixture of N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc) and benzene(1:1 by volume) solution was induced photoisomerization by UV and visible light irradiation. The precursor LB film was heated in a vacuum dry oven at 120$^{\circ}C$ in order to convert it into the LB film of polyimide. The absorption spectra of LB films were also induced photoisomerization by UV and visible light irradiation.

  • Ships have been propelled and maneuvered by electrical drives since trle late seventies. Recently, rare earth PMs allow the design of brushless motors with very high efficiency over a wide speed range. This is the most important factor in ship propulsion technology. Several types PM motors have been developing for ship propulsion system. However these have disadvantage such as cogging torque. It causes an undesired effect that contributes to output ripple, vibration, and noise of machine. Therefore several techniques may be adopted in designing PM motor in order to reduce the cogging torque. This paper describes cogging torque receding methods such as adjusting arigap length, magnet arc, and magnet thickness. That are analysed by using the finite element method(FEM) and the maxwell stress tensor method.
