HFC32/HFC125 혼합냉매의 히트펌프 성능 평가 (Performance of HFC32/HFC125 Mixtures for Heat Pumps)

  • In this study, performance of R410A(50%R32/50%R125) and HFC32/HFC125 mixture is measured to examine the effect of composition shift of R410A used for various air-conditioners and heat pumps. The composition of HFC32/HFC125 mixture varies from the reference composition of R410A ${\pm}10%$ with 5% interval. Tests carried out in a heat pump bench tester at the evaporation and condensation temperatures of $7/45^{\circ}C$ and $-7/41^{\circ}C$ for summer and winter conditions, respectively. Test results show that both the coefficient of performance (COP) and compressor power of the HFC32/HFC125 mixture have the maximum difference of 2.0% as compared to those of R410A. Compressor discharge temperatures of HFC32/HFC125 mixture are increased up to $6.7^{\circ}C$ as compared to that of R410A. The amount of charge for HFC32/HFC125 mixture vary within 5.6% as compared to that of R410A. Overall, performance of R410A is not appreciably affected by the composition shift of ${\pm}10%$ of R32 under both air-conditioning and heat pumping conditions.

등척성 팔굽 굽힘시 최대근지구력시간의 실증적 모델에 적용한 전완길이의 영향 (Effect of forearm length applied on empirical models of maximum endurance time during isometric elbow flexion)

  • 등척성 팔굽 굽힘시 전완길이(florearm length)는 전완에 가해진 힘의 방향이 직각일 때 관절토크 뿐만 아니라 최대근지구력시간(maximum endurance time: MET)을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구의 목표는 전완의 등척성 수축시 MET의 대표적인 두 가지 실증적 모델인 지수모델과 거듭제곱모델에 전완길이를 추가요소로 적용했을 때 미치는 영향을 검토하는 것이다. 30명의 자원자가 실험에 참여하였으며, 요소변수로 사용할 참여자의 상완 및 전완의 둘레 및 길이들과 최대자율수축강도의 백분율(percent of maximum voluntary contraction intensity: %MVC)에 따른 MET를 측정하였다. 실험과정에서 ln(MET)의 다중선형회귀모델에서 유의확률을 산츨한 결과 %MVC와 전완길이가 유의한 독립변수임을 확인하였다 (P<0.05). 또한, 측정 MET와 기존의 두 가지 실증적 모델들 사이의 평균절대편차는 19.4초 였으나 전완길이를 적용한 모델을 이용한 경우 16.2초로 감소하였으며, 상관계수과 급내상관계수는 모두 평균 0.87 이었으나 전완길이를 적용했을 때 평균 0.91로 모두 증가하였다. 실험결과로부터 전완의 길이가 실증적 모델에 유의한 추가 요소임을 확인하였다.

High rate magnetron sputtering of thick Cr-based tribological coatings

  • In this study, high rate deposition of thick CrNx films was carried out by crossed field unbalanced magnetron sputtering for the special application such as piston ring employed in automobile engine. For the high rate deposition and thick CrNx films formation with thickness of 30$\mu\textrm{m}$, high power density of $35W/cm^2$ in each target was induced and the multi-layer films of Cr/CrN and $\alpha$-Cr/CrN were synthesized by control of $N_2$ flow rate. The dynamic deposition rate of Cr and $\alpha$-CrN film was reached to 0.17$\mu\textrm{m}$/min and 0.12$\mu\textrm{m}$/rnin and the thick CrN$_{x}$. film of 30$\mu\textrm{m}$ could be obtained less than 5 hours. The maximum hardness was obtained above 2200 kg/mm$^2$ and adhesion strength was measured in about 70N, in case of multi-layers films. And the friction coefficient was measured by 0.4, which was similar to the value of CrN single-layer film.m.

Performance and Cavitation Analysis on Tidal Current Turbine for Low Water Level Channel

  • Most tidal current turbine designs are focused on medium and large scale for deep sea, less attention is paid in low water level channel, such as the region around the islands and costal sea. This study is to develop a horizontal axis tidal current turbine rotor blade which is applicable to low water level island region in southwest coastal region of Korea. In this study, the hydrofoil NACA63-415 and NACA63-817 are both adopted to analyze. The blade using NACA63-817 showed the higher maximum power coefficient and good performance at small TSR (Tip Speed Ratio), which gives the blade more advantages in operating at lower water level channel, where is characterized by the fast-flowing water. The cavitation pattern of hydrofoil is predicted by the CFD analysis and verified that the NACA63-817 is the appropriate hydrofoil in the test site of tidal current resource and the hydrofoil showed considerable performance in avoiding cavitation.

PLT 박막에서 조성에 따른 동적 초전특성의 주파수 의존성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of the La Concentration on the Frequency Dependence of Dynamic Pyroelectric Properties of PLT Thin Films)

  • Modulation frequency dependences of the pyroelectric properties of PLT (P $b_{1-x}$ L $a_{x}$ $Ti_{1-x}$ 4/ $O_3$) thin films with La concentrations of 5, 10 and 15㏖% have been investigated by using the dynamic method. The PLT thin film with 10㏖% of the La concentration (PLT(10) thin film) shows the most excellent pyroelectric properties among the films. For PLT(10) thin film, the pyroelectric coefficient shows the maximum value of 6.6$\times$10$^{-9}$ C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ㆍK without frequency dependence. The figure of merits for the voltage responsivity and specific detectivity are 1.03$\times$10$^{-11}$ Cㆍcm/J and 1.46$\times$10$^{-9}$ Cㆍcm/J, respectively. Voltage responsivity corresponding to the pyroelectric voltage is almost constant at low modulation frequency and decreases in proportional to frequency at high modulation frequency. Voltage responsivity is 5.15 V/W at 8Hz. Noise equivalent power (NEP) and specific detectivity ( $D^{*}$) of the PLT(10) thin film are 9.93$\times$10$^{-8}$ W/H $z^{1}$2/ and 1.81$\times$10$^{6}$ cmH $z^{1}$2/W at the frequency of 100Hz, respectively. The results indicate that PLT(10) thin film is very suitable for pyroelectric IR sensors.s.s.

Effect of Reduction Temperature on the Microstructure and Thermoelectric Properties of TAGS-85 Compounds

  • In this work, the effects of hydrogen reduction on the microstructure and thermoelectric properties of $(GeTe)_{0.85}(AgSbTe_2)_{0.15}$ (TAGS-85) were studied by a combination of gas atomization and spark plasma sintering. The crystal structure and microstructure of TAGS-85 were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The oxygen content of both powders and bulk samples were found to decrease with increasing reduction temperature. The grain size gradually increased with increasing reduction temperature due to adhesion of fine grains in a temperature range of 350 to $450^{\circ}C$. The electrical resistivity was found to increase with reduction temperature due to a decrease in carrier concentration. The Seebeck coefficient decreased with increasing reduction temperature and was in good agreement with the carrier concentration and carrier mobility. The maximum power factor, $3.3{\times}10^{-3}W/mK^2$, was measured for the non-reduction bulk TAGS-85 at $450^{\circ}C$.

  • Pyroelectric properties of rhombohedral $Pb(ZrxTi_1-x)O_3ceramics$ with various Zr/Ti ratios of 84/16, 87/13, 90/10, and 93/7 are investigated using dynamic method. The response characteristics of PZT samples are examined by considering frequency dispersion. Since the reorientation of the grain does not the influence on the increase of frequency at low frequency (2~200Hz), the maximum pyroelectric response can be obtained with the change of spontaneous polarization. However, the pyroelectric response of PZT samples could be reduced as the spontaneous polarization decreases due to the restrain of the reorientation of the grain with the increasing of requency at high frequency (200~2000Hz). We have obtained the good pyroelectric response in the PZT sample having 84/16 Zr/Ti ratio, then the pyroelectric coefficient (${\gamma}$) and the figure of merit (FV) were $17.3nC/\textrm{cm}^2K$ and 2.28$\times$10-11Ccm/J, respectively. The noise equivalent power (NEP), the detectivity (D*) were 1.21$\times$10-7W/Hz$\frac{1}{2}$ and 8.26$\times$106cmHz$\frac{1}{2}$/W, respectively.

진동하는 원주주위 유동의 직접수치해석 (Direct Numerical Simulation of the Flow Past an Oscillating Circular Cylinder)

  • The flow past a circular cylinder forced to vibrate transversely is numerically simulated by solving the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations modified by the vibration velocity of a circular cylinder at a Reynolds number of 164. The higher-order finite difference scheme is employed for the spatial discretization along with the second order Adams-Bashforth and the first order backward-Euler time integration. The calculated cylinder vibration frequency is between 0.60 and 1.30 times of the natural vortex-shedding frequency. The calculated oscillation amplitude extends to 25% of the cylinder diameter and in the case of the lock-in region it is 60%. It is made clear that the cylinder oscillation has influence on the wake pattern, the time histories of the drag and lift forces, power spectral density and phase diagrams, etc. It is found that these results include both the periodic (lock-in) and the quasi-periodic (non-lock-in) state. The vortex shedding frequency equals the driving frequency in the lock-in region but is independent in the non-lock-in region. The mean drag and the maximum lift coefficient increase with the increase of the forcing amplitude in the lock-in state. The lock-in boundaries are also established from the present direct numerical simulation.

회전익기 공기흡입구의 표면발생 결빙에 관한 전산 예측 (COMPUTATIONAL PREDICTION OF ICE ACCRETION AROUND A ROTORCRAFT AIR INTAKE)

  • Ice accretion on the surface of aircraft in flight can adversely affect the safety of aircraft. In particular, it can cause degradation of critical aircraft performances such as maximum lift coefficient and total pressure recovery factor in engine air intake. In this study, computational prediction of ice accretion around a rotorcraft air intake is conducted in order to identify the impingement region with high droplet collection efficiency. Then the amount of ice accretion on the air intake, which is essential in determining the required power of ice protection system, is calculated. Finally, the effect of icing wind tunnel size is investigated in order to check the compatibility with the real in-flight test environment.
