  • In an environment transformed by smart factories, measuring the current level of the manufacturing system, deriving improvement targets and tasks and increasing the level of manufacturing competitiveness become the basic activities of the company. However, research on the component analysis and maturity assessment to ensure the future competitiveness of the company is in progress and in the early stages. This study analyzed the existing research on various models, development process, and framework for manufacturing system. In addition, we designed a structural model by deriving the components of future manufacturing system through smart factory related maturity assessment studies. We designed a meta-model that includes an assesment model and a transformation model, and derived the framework development process to propose an integrated framework for the maturity assessment of the future manufacturing system. We verified it by applying it into an actual evaluation project of smart factory.

  • Development of the big data industry, the cases of providing data utilization services on digital platforms are increasing. In this regard, research in data-related fields is being conducted to apply the FAIR principle that can be applied to the assessment of (meta)data quality, service, and function to data quality evaluation. Especially, the European Open Data Portal applies an assessment model based on FAIR principles. Based on this, a data maturity assessment is conducted and the results are disclosed in reports every year. However, public data portals do not conduct data maturity evaluations based on metadata. In this paper, we propose and evaluate a new model for data maturity evaluation on a big data platform built for multiple domestic public data portals and data transactions, FAIR principles used for data maturity evaluation in Europe's open data portals. The proposed maturity evaluation model is a model that evaluates the quality of public data portal datasets.

  • There have been a lot of researches about KM(knowledge management) in domestic and foreign countries since 1990. Especially, there have been a lot of researches about enabler of KM, knowledge asset etc. but these are insufficient researches about performance measure of knowledge management considering maturity of KM. In addition, performance measure and maturity considering enabler to manage successful knowledge as well as knowledge asset which can be the following result are not the sufficient situation. Therefore, this study makes developmental levels of the inside and outside of the corporate by observing previous studies about the maturity of knowledge management and classifies enabler of knowledge management and measure item about knowledge asset by level, considering the features of each developmental level. And it is designed to propose maturity measure methods considering maturity level of actual knowledge management item by drawing indicator to measure classified items.

  • Smart Factory is one of the fastest developing and changing fourth industrial revolution fields. In particular, the degree of introduction and maturity level in the smart factory is an important part. In this paper, a cluster analysis of companies introduced smart factory was performed based on a new maturity assessment model. The 68% of 193 companies surveyed were at the basic level, with only 21% being the middle one. Most SMEs cited lack of funds as the main reason for not entering the middle one. As a result of the cluster analysis, it was found that all clusters had similar patterns but grouped into one of three levels of high, middle, and low depending on maturity level of smart factory operation, and process domain had the highest maturity and data domain was lowest among the 6 domains. Through this, analysis of more specific and quantified maturity levels can be performed using 6-domain smart factory maturity evaluation model.

  • The technical proposal suggested and published by MIC(Ministry of Information and Communication, henceforth MIC) contains too general assessment elements, which causes qualitative and subjective assessment of technical proposals. Thus, in terms of the technical proposal assessment. It lacks In fairness, validity and accuracy. Furthermore, it has a great deal of difficulty in assessment caused by the inconsistency between proposal planning and assessment methods. Also, each company has different writing format, so it is impossible to make use of its maneuvering data for the assessment. To overcome these weaknesses, our research focused on a quantitative evaluation on development organization, which is a part of organizational and administrative part of the technical proposal suggested and published by MIC. In this research, we divided development organization for the technical proposal into organization, teams, and team members, and then studied addition, deletion and merging for the assessment criteria. For the related study, we chose especially CMM(Capability Maturity Model) from a lot of international and national references, which is a model measuring the maturity of organization, and then we focused on Small-CMM which is available in the small-sized organization. We also suggested input form, description method, assessment elements for the quantitative assessment in the chosen developmental organization, and finally we proposed standard referencing criteria for the assessment. Our study concludes that our assessment method are valid and available in comparison with the previous Delphi method through a validity evaluation test.

  • One consequence of the new economic imperative of developing an environment-friendly and sustainable economy has been the growing importance of green management as a corporate management strategy. In Korea, the government has put forth a green growth vision, and followed suit with policy measures reflecting this vision. Companies, in their turn, have announced various new management plans reflecting this green vision. But, thus far, no tangible progress has been made. This is mainly due to the lack of concreteness, both in the government's policy and green management plans by companies. The government's green IT vision, for instance, was formulated without an accurate assessment of the current level of maturity in terms of green IT in Korea. This study presents a model for assessing the level of green IT maturity, developed by taking into consideration the informatization and regulatory environments of Korean firms. We use this model to evaluate a sample of Korean firms selected as representatives of their respective industry sectors to assess the overall level of green IT maturity among Korean companies. Improvement strategies, based on the results of assessment, are presented as well.

  • This study presents a model and its implementation methodology assessing not only maturity but also applicability in order to increase the practical usage of open source software(OSS). Since this model measures applicability which can not be assessed by the previous models, it is able to support users in many ways when they introduce OSS for the first time, replace commercial software with OSS, and compare OSS with commercial software. For the purpose of design and implementation of this model, we presented a methodology with 7 phases and conducted a survey to evaluate the appropriateness and reliability of the model. In addition, we proved the practical usability of the model by providing a practical example assessing maturity and applicability of OSS in the area of the infra category on the basis of the methodology. In the future, not only general users but also officers in charge of informatization will be able to select optimal OSS by using this model for industrial application. Therefore, the result of this research is expected to greatly contribute to OSS promotion policy.

  • The absence of proactive information security management to ensure availability, accessibility and safety of information can bring serious risks to customers as well as to the organization's performance and competitiveness because improper security management undermines business continuity. This study analyzed the maturity of information security which affects the organizational performance. Through the literature reviews, a research model using the organizational performance as the dependent variable, the risk management process maturity and risk assessment process as independent variables and the information security policy indexes as moderate variables was proposed, and an empirical analysis was made on the basis of survey. The results showed that there was a high causal relationship between information security maturity and organizational performance. However, even if the proportions of information security staff ratio and the information security budget ratio increased, information security maturity did not affect organizational performance. It suggests that information security maturity affects organizational performance, but information security regulations have their limitation as being a catalyst to improve organizational performance.

  • Newborn period is a transitional stage for independent adaptation from intrauterine to extrauterine life by maintaining respiration, temperature and nutrition. In general, the adaptability of the newborn is proportional to the gestational age(GA), so knowing the accurate GA is critical to develop nursing process in the newborn nursery. A newborn ma turity rating, a Ballard examination, has been used to measure GA by assessing the maturity of new-born. It consists a total of 12 items, which is the 6 items for the neuromuscular maturity and the 6 items for the physical maturity A total of 75 new-born were assessed for the maturity and GA using the Ballard examination. The results are follows : 1) The score of each item of Ballard examination is propotional to GA using the Ballard examination as well as LMP. 2) There was a greater positive relationship between neuromuscular, physical and total maturity, and the GA measured by Ballard examination, than the GA measured by LMP. 3) Any stressful environment to the newborn could influence to the maturity of newborn. In summary, the study showed the Ballard examination Is more reliable and clincially feasible method to measure the accurate G4 compared to the GA by LMP. Therefore, it suggests the application of Ballard examination to measure the new born maturity and GA is beneficial in developing nursing process. The expansion of the study with the variety of the subject characteristics nil on hance the clinical applicability of the examination.
