극배치를 고려한 제분 Model Matching 제어계 설계 (Partial Model Matching Control System Design by Considering Pole-Placements)

  • Identification of the plants is not easy task especially in the fields of process control. From this point of view, Kitamori developed a method of control system design based on partial knowledge about controlled processes. However, it is difficult to control the oscillatory plant by kitamori's method. In this paper, we develope a method of partial model matching control system design, which have desirable pole-placements in order to improve the above defects. Design examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.

  • Case-Based Reasoning(CBR) systems support ill structured decision-making. The measure of the success of a CBR system depends on its ability to retrieve the most relevant previous cases in support of the solution of a new case. One of the methodologies widely used in existing CBR systems to retrieve previous cases is that of the Nearest Neighbor(NN) matching function. The NN matching function is based on assumptions of the independence of attributes in previous case and the availability of rules and procedures for matching.(omitted)

특징점 추적을 통한 다수 영상의 고속 스티칭 기법 (Fast Stitching Algorithm by using Feature Tracking)

  • 스티칭 기법은 여러 영상에서 추출한 특징점의 디스크립터를 생성하고, 특징점들간의 정합 과정을 통해 하나의 영상으로 만드는 것이다. 각각의 특징점은 128 차원의 정보를 가지고 있고, 특징점의 개수가 증가 할수록 데이터 처리 시간이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 영상을 입력 했을 때 고속 파노라마 생성을 위한 특징점 추출 및 정합 기법을 제안한다. 빠른 속도로 특징점 추출을 위해서 FAST(Features from Accelerated Segment Test) 기법을 사용한다. 특징점 정합과정은 기존의 방법과는 다른 새로운 방법을 제안한다. Mean shift를 통해 특징점이 포함된 영역을 추적하여 벡터(vector)를 구하고 이 벡터를 사용하여 추출한 특징점들을 정합하는데 사용한다. 마지막으로 이상점(outlier)을 제거하기 위해 RANSAC(RANdom Sample Consensus) 기법을 사용한다. 입력된 두 영상의 호모그래피(homography) 변환 행렬을 구하여 하나의 파노라마 영상을 생성한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 기법이 기존의 기법보다 속도가 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

Automated Mismatch Detection based on Matching and Robust Estimation for Automated Image Navigation

  • Ground processing for geostationary weather satellite such as GOES, MTSAT includes the process called image navigation. Image navigation means the retrieval of satellite navigational parameters from images and requires landmark detection by matching satellite images against landmark chips. For an automated preprocessing, a matching must be performed automatically. However, if match results contain errors, the accuracy of image navigation deteriorates. To overcome this problem, we propose the use of a robust estimation technique, called Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC), to automatically detect mismatches. We tested GOES-9 satellite images with 30 landmark chips. Landmark chips were extracted from the world shoreline database. To them, matching was applied and mismatch results were detected automatically by RANSAC. Results showed that all mismatches were detected correctly by RANSAC with a threshold value of 2.5 pixels.

Video Sequence Matching Using Normalized Dominant Singular Values

  • This paper proposes a signature using dominant singular values for video sequence matching. By considering the input image as matrix A, a partition procedure is first performed to separate the matrix into non-overlapping sub-images of a fixed size. The SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) process decomposes matrix A into a singular value-singular vector factorization. As a result, singular values are obtained for each sub-image, then k dominant singular values which are sufficient to discriminate between different images and are robust to image size variation, are chosen and normalized as the signature for each block in an image frame for matching between the reference video clip and the query one. Experimental results show that the proposed video signature has a better performance than ordinal signature in ROC curve.

백색 보조 띠 기반의 정밀 스테레오 정합 기법 (Precise Stereo Matching Technique Based on White Auxiliary Stripe)

  • This paper proposes a novel active stereo matching technique using white auxiliary stripe pattern. The conventional active stereo matching techniques that uses two cameras and an active source such as projector can accurately estimate disparity information even in the areas with low texture compared to the passive ones. However, it is difficult that the conventional active stereo matching techniques using color code patterns acquire these patterns robustly if the object is composed of various colors or is exposed to complex lighting condition. To overcome this problem, the proposed method uses an additional white auxiliary stripe pattern to get and localize the color code patterns robustly. This paper proposes a process based on adaptive thresholding and thinning to obtain the auxiliary pattern accurately. Experimental results show that the proposed method more precisely measures the stepped sample whose depth is known in advance than the conventional method.

  • This paper proposes a color matching 3D look-up table simplifying the complex color matching procedure between a monitor and a mobile display device. In order to perform color matching, it is necessary to process color of image in the device independent color space like CIEXYZ or CIELAB. We improved the S-curve model to have smaller characterization error than tolerance error. Also, as a result of the experiments, we concluded that the color matching look-up table with 64(4$\times$4$\times$4) is the smallest size allowing characterization error to be acceptable.

  • A new method is proposed for stereo vision where solution to disparity map is presented in terms of Line constraint and Reliability space -- the first constraint proposes a progressive framework for stereo matching which applies local area pixel-values from corresponding lines in the left and right image pairs. The second states that reliability space based on corresponding points records the disparity and then we are able to apply the median filter in order to reduce the noises which occur in the process. A coarse to fine result is presented after the median filtering, which improves the final result qualitatively. Experiment is evaluated by rectified stereo matching images pairs from Middlebury datasets and has proved that those two adopted strategies yield good matching quantitative results in terms of fast running speed.

  • One of important factors in designing array-type MEMS resonators is obtaining a desired frequency response function (FRF) within a specific range. In this paper Krylov subspace-based model order reduction using moment-matching with non-zero expansion points is represented to calculate the FRF of array-type resonators. By matching moments at a frequency around a specific range of the array-type resonators, required FRFs can be efficiently calculated with significantly reduced systems regardless of their operating frequencies. In addition, because of the characteristics of moment-matching method, a minimal order of reduced system with a specified accuracy can be determined through an error indicator using successive reduced models, which is very useful to automate the order reduction process and FRF calculation for structural optimization iterations.

  • 지리정보 수집 기술이 발전함에 따라 서로 불일치하는 데이터베이스를 통합하는 작업이 점차 중요하게 떠오르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 도로 네트워크 데이터를 대상으로 하여, 서로 다른 특성을 가진 두 데이터셋의 노드 사이의 매칭 관계를 찾아내기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 노드의 위치 뿐 아니라 그에 연결된 링크의 형상 정보를 활용하여 대응하는 노드 쌍을 찾아내었고, 그에 따라 매칭 정확도가 향상되는 것을 확인하였다. 이 결과를 이용하여, 뒤이어 링크 매칭을 수행할 때 위상 정보를 반영할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
