  • Globalization of R&D activities of multinational firms is becoming important in compared with the past, because of increasing globalization of world economy. So, every country tries to attract foreign investment including R&D activities. In this paper, effects of several factors, which determine the scale of foreign subsidiary's R&D activities in local market, are analyzed. Through the review of previous literature, I found that three groups of determinant factors. The first one is the factor which is related to characteristics of local market, such as competitive situation of local market, accessability to research institutions, etc. The second group is the factor which is related to relationship between foreign subsidiary and its mother company. The dominant factors of this group are operation strategy of foreign subsidiary, competitiveness of mother firm, and equity structure of foreign subsidiary. Finally the characteristics of industry affect to the scale of foreign subsidiary's R&D activities. Among these factors, 6 factors are chosen to investigate empirically. For the empirical investigation, 107 foreign subsidiaries among KOITA(Korea Industrial Technology Association)'s list are chosen. Each subsidiary has more than 50% of foreign equity and implement R&D activities in Korea. The results show that sales volume of foreign subsidiary is dominant influencing factor in determining scale of R&D activities in Korean market. And also I found that currently established firms are implementing more R&D activities than old established firms. This is quite interesting finding. However, R&D activities of foreign subsidiary are not vitalized in Korean market. It probably means that Korean government and Korean business partners have to make effort to enhance foreign firms/ R&D activities, because it could contribute technological and economic development of Korean market.

However, this is because in the integrated European market, the competitiveness possessed by the two groups of countries is invested in the priority order to grow. Research design, data, and methodology - The study was conducted on the research design, and the reason for trying to compare the competence of the automobile industry in the assessment of industrial capability is that the Visegrard Group focuses on automotive production and the Nordic Association focuses on the commercialization of the automobile(market). In this study, searching and quantifying indirect evidence was made through standards are more complementary in Europe since each country acts like the role of the European automotive industry for example, which is different from the realistic evaluation criteria, are more important than those of the United States(first in the world) or Germany(first in Europe). Results - The results of this study are as follows: In the global EV market U.S.(export: $ 2.62 billion /share: 36.7%), Germany($ 1.29 billion /18.1%), France($ 390 million /5.4%), United Kingdom($ 380 million /5.4%), and South Korea($ 320 million/ 4.4%). South Korea's share of the EV market is 4.4%, while TSI reaches at +0.9 which measures the comparative advantage of a specific commodity in the world trade market. There is great potential for evaluated as products processing in export competition. But, commercialization, standardization, and overall market expansion did not have a positive impact on global satisfaction. Conclusions - EVs put importance on various utilities. So this suggests that Korea's exports to the EU, including the Visegrard Group, should be more focused on marketability when illuminating with a sharing industrial system under the European Union. It is necessary to specialize in manufacturing and commercialization by country(region) to prepare sharing economy and blockchain in order to create a smart-sharing city linked on artificial intelligence, as the commercialization of electric vehicles, which will have a larger growth rate than that of manufacturing in the fourth revolutionary era.

  • It will prove that with a more plausible specification of the relationship between income and the value of leisure, we can develop a more accurate model of the labor market without necessarily losing the primary merit of the received model. Moreover, with an improved understanding of labor market dynamic we can see that progressive era labor market legislation, designed to mitigate the effects of bargaining power inequality in low wage labor markets, was in fact based upon sensible economic foundations. The results of this study as follow; These low-wage dynamics present an example of a positive feedback system or "vicious circle" at work in the economy. With the revised labor supply schedule presented above, the market dynamic of the low wage sector push the wage away from the range that is consistent with a self-regulating market.

Findings - Empirical findings highlight significant differences in the effects of market structure between state-owned and joint-stock banks. Notably, increased market competition positively correlates with higher profits for state-owned banks and with lower costs for joint-stock banks. Research implications or Originality - State-owned banks demonstrate larger scale and stability, yet they struggle to respond effectively to market shifts. Conversely, joint-stock banks face challenges in raising profitability against competitive pressures. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance for Chinese banks to strengthen risk management due to the increase of non-performing loans with competition. The results provide insights into reform policies for Chinese banks regarding the involvement of private sector in the context of market liberalization process in China.

  • This study is an empirical research of the stock markets to prove the synchronization phenomenon of the world economy. For this research I analyzed Korea's KOSPI, USA's DOW & NASDAQ reflecting stock markets in North America, Japan's NIKKEI in Asia, and Germany's DAX in Europe. Because the raw series are not stationary, they are to be transformed to returns series. The results of the study are follows: First of all, there are significant causalities between KOSPI's returns and those of other indices. Second, feedback effects are found between the market returns with several time lags. Third, there are 4 cointegrating equations which embody the relation of the five returns series. And forth, KOSPI reacts more sensitively to impacts from the foreign indices compared to the other indices do when they got impacts from each other except KOSPI. On conclusion, there exists a clear evidence for the synchronization phenomenon in returns of the stock indices, and we can expect Korea market may get similar changes depending on the economic changes of North America, Europe, or Asia. Therefore more closing researches should be conducted about the world economy synchronization in various fields as soon as possible.
