A lunar rover's optical camera is used to provide navigation and terrain information in an exploration zone. However, due to the scant presence of atmosphere, the Moon has homogeneous terrain with dark soil. Also, in extreme environments, the rover has limited data storage with low computation capability. Thus, for successful exploration, it is required to examine feature detection and matching methods which are robust to lunar terrain and environmental characteristics. In this research, SIFT, SURF, BRISK, ORB, and AKAZE are comparatively analyzed with lunar terrain images from a lunar rover. Experimental results show that SIFT and AKAZE are most robust for lunar terrain characteristics. AKAZE detects less quantity of feature points than SIFT, but feature points are detected and matched with high precision and the least computational cost. AKAZE is adequate for fast and accurate navigation information. Although SIFT has the highest computational cost, the largest quantity of feature points are stably detected and matched. The rover periodically sends terrain images to Earth. Thus, SIFT is suitable for global 3D terrain map construction in that a large amount of terrain images can be processed on Earth. Study results are expected to provide a guideline to utilize feature detection and matching methods for future lunar exploration rovers.

The purpose of this study is to develop a pedestrian multi-agent model and simulation system using multi-agent theory, which may be utilized as a planning support system for building a comfort and safe environment of pedestrian street. Differing from existing pedestrian models, however, every single pedestrian was regarded as an individual agent in the model. Multiple agents like multiple pedestrians in the street then maintain their own characteristics and respond to surrounding environment. In addition their moving behavior are made by their own decision rules that they have or had acquired through the interactive communications or learning between agents like real world. After verifying the model validation, as the $R^2$ between the predicted value and observed value was up to 0.781, the developed model was applied to Gazwa district within Gyeongsang university village. The simulation system was developed by Flash MX action scripts and the physical environment of the streets was configured with the digital map and ArcGis within computer virtual space. The attribute data of buildings such as type and size of commercial business were collected through the field survey and combined with physical features. Then the effect of the variation of building attractiveness and the occurrence of street events to pedestrian environment were simulated. Through the experiments this study could make suggestions to improve pedestrian environment.
As a result of trying the various manufacturing methods considering the reality of manpower and equipments with this manual, the following standardized procedures and contents can be suggested. (1) Since tools presenting Rock-Drill data must formalize the order of explanation although explainers are different, it will be valid that it is configured by existing power point method rather than by web document type. Composition of contents are selected on the basis of defence card and survey and then 8 items including initial screen, peripheral conditions, mobilization route, general conditions, use and structure by floor, department of vehicle consideration in activities and end screen are included. (2) Making methods and cautions of data included and used in power point are as follows ; - It was most effective that objects of fire fighting and location of neighboring fire fighting water were expressed by electronic map and drawing of inner building was made by scanning it after paining general architecture drawing(plan by each floor) rather than using drawing tools of EXCEL program or CAD drawing. And it was helpful to simplify contents of architecture drawing to wall, stairs and gate in understanding them. - Photographing of video data should be taken to show available fire fighting facilities in fire, use of planned space and the whole inner structure of each floor from the inside of fire fighting buildings and to display play time between 10 sec. and 1 min, for obstacles to distance from adjacent buildings or passage of special vehicles and fire fighting water from the outside of the building. - File format of video data taken in this way is most suitable to use wmv(window media video) or asf(advanced streaming format) type in consideration of time required for export, screen quality, file capacity and play type in Rock-Drill through network. - Still screen(photo) is more effective to express the department of fire fighting vehicles or other equipments than using video. (3) In configuration work of power point, hyper link was used most and configured to see any part at any situation like web document and then uniformity of presentation order of power point was complemented. (4) In case of sales facilities with the area of $35.557m^2$, the time of 22 hours and 30 minutes for five days was taken with five persons. Therefore, when eight-hour works a day were calculated, the whole process of video work for Rock-Drill can be finished with three day works.

This study presents the applicability of two-dimensional (2D) flood inundation model by applying to real irrigation reservoir failure with limited available data. The study area is Sandae Reservoir placed in Gyeongju and downstream area of it and the reservoir was failured by piping in 2013. The breach hydrograph was estimated from one-dimensional (1D) hydrodynamic model and the discharge was employed for upstream boundary of 2D flood inundation model. Topography of study area was generated by integrating digital contour map and satellite data, and Cartesian grids with 3m resolution to consider geometry of building, road and public stadium were used for 2D flood inundation analysis. The model validation was carried out by comparing predictions with field survey data including reservoir breach outflow, flood extent, flood height and arrival time, and identifying rational ranges with allowed error. In addition, the applicability of 2D model is examined using different simulation conditions involving grid size, building and roughness coefficient. This study is expected to contributed to analysis of irrigation reservoirs were at risk of a failure and setting up Emergency Action Plan (EAP) against irrigation reservoir failure.

In rapidly developing urban areas that include high-rise, large, and complex buildings, indoor and outdoor maps in GIS become a basis for utilizing and sharing information pertaining to various aspects of the real world. Although an indoor mapping has gained much attentions, research efforts are mostly in 2D and 3D modeling of terrain and buildings. Therefore, to facilitate fast and accurate construction of indoor GIS, this paper proposes a semi-automatic method consisting of preprocessing, 2D mapping, and 3D mapping stages. The preprocessing is designed to estimate heights of building interiors and to identify noise data from point clouds. In the 2D mapping, a floor map is extracted with a tracing grid and a refinement method. In the 3D mapping, a 3D wireframe model is created with heights from the preprocessing stage. 3D mesh data converted from noise data is combined with the 3D wireframe model for detail modeling. The proposed method was applied to point clouds depicting a hallway in a building. Experiment results indicate that the proposed method can be utilized to construct 2D and 3D maps for indoor GIS.

This research is aimed at investigating the ground characterization of the Cheongju granite area using the geophysical methods. Test site was chosen from the building site in Chungbuk University, Chongju, Chungbuk province. Furthermore, geophysical methods are employed on the outcrops in the east to map the distribution of fault and intrusion and reveal the degree of weathering. The subsurface structure mapped from seismic re-fraction survey mainly consists of two units of weathered soil and rock. Threshold of the units were determined on the basis of seismic velocity of 800 m/s, supported from the standard classification table. From the results of standard penetrating test(SPT), these units are found to show medium-high and high density, respectively. Weathering soil is subdivided in unsaturated layer and saturated layer with thresholds of seismic velocity (500 m/s) and resistivity (200 ohm-m). In particular, unsaturated layer is again classified into dry and wet portions using the GPR section. The boundary between unsaturated and saturated weathering soils corresponds to the groundwater table at depth of approximately 5~6.2 m, which is well correlated with the one from drill-core data. However, bedrock is not delineated by geophysical methods. In the GPR section, fault and intrusion observed on the outcrop are revealed not to extend to the building site. With respect to weathering degree, the outcrop characterized by low resistivity and velocity corresponds to the grade of 'completely weathered' from the geotechnical investigations.

Recently, as new paradigm for government operation called government 3.0, government is actively operating policy opening and sharing public data. In addition, the Ministry of Land are operating an open platform integrated map service (the VWorld) which provides a variety of video contents such as the country's national spatial information, traffic information and three-dimensional building for the public. According to W3C Foundation's Open Data Status Report(2013), our country has the evaluated results that the part of the government's policy support and planning is good while the part of the data management is vulnerable. So our country needs the quality improvement for the data management. In addition, a digital aerial photograph image data is required to be up-to-date for the three-dimensional spatial object data. In this paper, we present the method for enhancement of the accuracy of vertical position and for maintainment of up-to-date vertical position. Our methods evaluate the data quality and analyze the cause of error of measurement utilizing the national standard quality assessment method. The result of research shows that the accuracy of vertical position is improved if the height of the building captain is adjusted by the quality assessment values and a three-dimensional model has up-to-date data if reconstruction and extension information of construction register is utilized.
The purpose of this study is to develop the usability evaluation contents based on the needs of different stakeholder's related to the usability of the product, and to derive the design direction and apply it as the evaluation standard by applying the product design based on the results. I created a stakeholder map for a fire detector product and identified stakeholders related to usability. Based on 3 factors(Physical, cognitive, emotional) of the usability evaluation, I conducted survey on the building users and the building managers who have different requirements. There are 12 directions (ease of installation, durability, maintainability, additional functionality, effectiveness, attractiveness, visibility, consistency of information, environmental harmony, consistency, Image suitability, reliability). Through weighted analysis of three usability evaluation factors, I found factors were ranked in the same order of importance, but they were different in importance figure. Based on the results of the survey, overall product usability aspects were improved but effectiveness and environmental coordination aspects needed to be improved.

The road sign location information installed on national roads is continuously updated using MMS (Mobile Mapping System) technology. It is possible to map accurate road facilities by MMS, but the equipment is very expensive and requires specialized technology. Also, the accuracy of the position of the object greatly depends on the GPS (Global Positioning System) accuracy. In the case of road facility mapping, the advantage of drone is more remarkable than that of field survey or conventional aerial photogrammetry. In particular, it is more efficient than field surveying and it is possible to acquire high resolution images with low budget compared to conventional aerial photogrammetry. In this study, the accuracy of the location information measured by the existing MMS is compared with the GPS survey result and the accuracy analysis is performed by the drone aerial photogrammetry. In order to confirm the space accuracy that can be obtained when conducting drone aerial photogrammetry, the accuracy of the change in the number of ground control points and the degree of overlap was evaluated. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to obtain sufficient accuracy with two ground control points distributed at both ends of the road and 60% overlap.
Although it is currently conducting slope management and research using digital technologies such as drones, big data, and artificial intelligence, it is still somewhat insufficient and is still vulnerable to slope failure. For this reason, it is inevitable to present the development direction for research on prediction and analysis of slope failure using the digital technologies to effectively deal with slope failure, which requires a preemptive understanding of prediction and analysis of slope failure. In this paper, we collected literature data based on the Web of Science for five years from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020 and analyzed by co-word analysis to identify the domain structure of research on prediction and analysis of slope failure. Detailed subject areas were identified through network analysis, and the domain relationships between keywords were visualized to derive global and regionally oriented keywords through relationship, centrality analysis. In addition, the clusters formed by performing cluster analysis were displayed on the multidimensional scailing map, and the domain structure according to the correlation between each keyword was presented. The results of this study reveal the domain structure of research on prediction and analysis of slope failure, and are expected to be usefully used to find future research directions.
