  • Presently metro in our county has higher rate of passengers as a public transportation of urban area than other transportations. And road is under very restrictive condition to be expanded in many aspects because the streets are completely choked. Therefore increase of capacity in metro and reduction of headway has been seriously required and utmost efforts has been taken by related fields to meet the requirements. The concept of CBTC system came out from this background. CBTC system can be implemented to detect the train location without using the track circuits. It has many advantages in aspects of signalling equipments build-up and maintenance. This study investigated examples of radio communication system and applicable standard norms in other countries. And it also reviewed the suggestion for the establishment of radio frequency and radio network to be considered for application train control system by radio under Korean metro environment.

  • With the development of many display technologies currently applied to them in the field of printed electronics, there have been many researches that high resolution printing for thin and uniform pattern. In this paper, printing ink flow properties in the reverse offset mechanism were simulated. The aim of this research is to expect the ink flow behavior between cliches to make fine pattern by a printing technique which is a reverse offset. The simulation results show that almost the same as the experiments and the flow behavior according to the ink film thickness and printing pressure changes could be expected.

  • Technology for emotion recognition is an essential part of human personality analysis. To define human personality characteristics, the existing method used the survey method. However, there are many cases where communication cannot make without considering emotions. Hence, emotional recognition technology is an essential element for communication but has also been adopted in many other fields. A person's emotions are revealed in various ways, typically including facial, speech, and biometric responses. Therefore, various methods can recognize emotions, e.g., images, voice signals, and physiological signals. Physiological signals are measured with biological sensors and analyzed to identify emotions. This study employed two sensor types. First, the existing method, the binary arousal-valence method, was subdivided into four levels to classify emotions in more detail. Then, based on the current techniques classified as High/Low, the model was further subdivided into multi-levels. Finally, signal characteristics were extracted using a 1-D Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and classified sixteen feelings. Although CNN was used to learn images in 2D, sensor data in 1D was used as the input in this paper. Finally, the proposed emotional recognition system was evaluated by measuring actual sensors.

  • Complex diseases including cardiovascular disease are caused by a combination of the alternation of many genes and the influence of environments. Recently, non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) have been shown to be involved in diverse diseases, and the functions of various ncRNAs have been reported. Many researchers have elucidated the mechanisms of action of these ncRNAs at the cellular level prior to in vivo and clinical studies of the diseases. Due to the characteristics of complex diseases involving intercellular crosstalk, it is important to study communication between multiple cells. However, there is a lack of literature summarizing and discussing studies of ncRNAs involved in intercellular crosstalk in cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this review summarizes recent discoveries in the functional mechanisms of intercellular crosstalk involving ncRNAs, including microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs, and circular RNAs. In addition, the pathophysiological role of ncRNAs in this communication is extensively discussed in various cardiovascular diseases.

  • Recently, case presentations using AI functions such as ChatGPT are increasing in many industrial fields. As AI-based results emerge even in the areas of images and videos, traditional animation production tools are in need of significant changes. Unreal Engine is the tool that adapts most quickly to these changes, proposing a new animation production workflow by integrating tools such as Metahuman and Marvelous Designer. Working with realistic metahumans allows for the production of realistic and natural movements, such as those captured through motion capture data. Implementing this approach presents many challenges for production tools that adhere to traditional methods. In this study, we investigated the differences between the cell animation workflow and the computer graphics animation production workflow. We compared and analyzed whether these differences could be reduced by creating sample movements using character rigs in Maya and Cascadeur tools. Our results showed that a similar cell animation workflow could be constructed using the Cascadeur tool. To improve the accuracy of our conclusions, we created large, action-packed short animations to demonstrate and validate our findings.

  • With the rapid growth of the communication technology, intelligent terminals (i.e. PDAs and smartphones) are widely used in many mobile applications. To provide secure communication in mobile environment, in recent years, many user authentication schemes have been proposed. However, most of these authentication schemes suffer from various attacks and cannot provide provable security. In this paper, we propose a novel remote user mutual authentication scheme for multi-server environments using elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). Unlike other ECC-based schemes, the proposed scheme uses ECC in combination with a secure hash function to protect the secure communication among the users, the servers and the registration center (RC). Through this method, the proposed scheme requires less ECC-based operations than the related schemes, and makes it possible to significantly reduce the computational cost. Security and performance analyses demonstrate that the proposed scheme can solve various types of security problems and can meet the requirements of computational complexity for low-power mobile devices.

  • For the last 20 years, our country has been pointing to a great power for digital information technology, but quantum information technology which is already researched in many forefront nations lags significantly behind other countries. Recently, quantum information management, quantum computing and quantum communication based on the quantum mechanics have been researching actively in many fields such as cryptology. On the basis of these background, in this paper, to efficient data transmission and detection for quantum data, we apply the orthogonal sequence to quantum communication system. The performance of proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of auto and cross correlation performance.

  • In these days, international Ubiquitous Cities are being developed in many places, and their settings, aims, designs, organizations, and functionality differ among many different kinds of solutions and systems. This paper has been based on quantitative and qualitative research, and used lots of relevant data and information. Even though Ubiquitous cities are generally conceived as local information infrastructures and as a means for enhancing democratic participation, users primarily appreciate it as a tool for communication. We also observed among others, how cyberspace reproduces the dynamics of established and outsiders, which inclines us to think that virtual public is not as open as is often claimed. However, Ubiquitous cities will always offer you more comfortable life than ever from now on.

  • The cutaneous network of unmyelinated nerve fibers is extremely dense, and closely interacts with the many cell types present in dermis and epidermis, including keratinocytes, fibroblasts, Langerhans cells, and melanocytes. Cell communication involves various neuroendocrine factors, with cell differentiating and proliferative activities, or inflammatory properties. Thus, nervous cells in the skin not only create a sensory system connected to the central nervous system, but also mediate many of the biological activities of the skin.(omitted)
