제조업 생산능력 측정의 기준과 모델의 개발 (Development of a model and criteria for production capacity measurement of manufacturing industry)

  • For an industry, production capacity is defined as the maximum level of output that plants can maintain within the framework of a realistic work schedule, taking account of normal downtime, and assuming sufficient availability of inputs to operate machinery and equipment in place. Such capacity is one of the important and basic due to measure, manage and evaluate the production performance and ability of any industrial bodies. However, the estimating methods now in use in Korea are seemed far from the definition above. And there are not any standard estimating method suggested even in the same sort of manufacturing and also no applicable theory for objective and exact measurement. Thus, in this paper, a new measuring model is suggested as standard and supporting theories are developed for general measurement purpose to any manufacturing industries.

  • This study addresses the problem of flexible technology acquisition in multi-product market when demands are uncertain. We confine the concept of flexibility to the ability of manufacturing system to produce a number of different types of products, called product-mix flexibility type. And an analytical model in which economies of scope is incorporated explicitly as a feature of flexible technology is presented to find the optimal investment decision to acquire flexible technology and optimal production planning. The characteristics of optimal investment strategy related to capacity and production planning are discussed.

  • Implementation of a process control language for a pager manufacturing is dealt in this paper. The pager manufacturing process is consisted of a tune and an exam part. In the tune part, three capacitor trimmers are tuned to optimize the state of the pager. In the exam part, message receiving status with the arbitrary calling is tested using a vision system. The program has the ability to reuse the address discarded in the exam part when the, pager testing is not working properly even though there exist the processing gaps between two processes. The system is composed of a personal computer(PC586) and TEM-cells, Flex pager testers, an oscilloscope, a camera, and actuators. Visual Basic running on the Windows 95 is used to implement the control software which has the GUI to make an operator convenient. The validity of applying the completed program to practical machines, which are developing in the KITECH, is shown by using the virtual machine.

  • Recently, advanced manufacturing system with high speed and intelligent have been developed for the betterment of machining ability. In this case, reliability prediction work with motion characteristic evaluation of sliding cover has also important roll from design procedure to manufacturing and assembly process. Accordingly in this study, H/W test -bed system for reliability evaluation of sliding cover has been developed to obtain proper reference data for design of new model, and also prevention trouble, quality and life cycle improvement extremely for advanced mother machinary.

  • This paper presents the development of intelligent performance management of computer communication networks for larger-scale integrated systems and the demonstration of its efficacy using computer simula- tion. The innermost core of the performance management is based on fuzzy set theory. This fuzzy perfor- mance manager has learning ability by using principles of neuro-fuzzy model, neuralnetwork, genetic algo- rithm(GA). Two types of performance managers are described in this paper. One is the Neuro-Fuzzy Per- formance Manager(NFPM) of which learning ability is based on the conventional gradient method, and the other is GA-based Neuro-Fuzzy Performance Manager(GNFPM)with its learning ability based on a genetic algorithm. These performance managers have been evaluated via discrete event simulation of a computer network.
