As Korea has been industrialized high recently, the constructional plant part which is the major driving force to Korean economic growth is being developed. In spite of the great importance, there are many ill-prepared parts in EPC project management procedure, and working in practice of EPC project management procedure manual is not systematic. That is why the governmental progressive policy on the relevant technology and the establishment of EPC project management procedure are needed. This study was aimed to derive reform measures by analyzing problems of EPC project management procedure manuals which are in use at 13 large-sized construction companies currently. The reform measures which are based on the theory of PMI(Project Management Institute)'s PMBOK(Porjcet Management Body Of Knowledge) are about deriving administration factors to control the project, and EPC project administration factors are derived from the definition of CMAA(Construction Mangement Association of America). The reformed electronic EPC project management procedure manual system is set up by standardizing derived administration factors.

Although the environmental conflicts regarding noise and vibration are continually increasing during construction, noise and vibration occurring in construction are only managed in construction phase. Noise and Vibration occurring in construction are considered to be insufficient, so we find that noise and vibration management in design phase has to be operated for reducing. The objective of this paper is to present noise and vibration management lists to consider in design phase for enhancing efficiency in noise and vibration management and to develop the appraisal sheets for designers to evaluate and the manuals to easily use management lists. To achieve this, we identify the noise and vibration management lists to consider in design phase through analyzing the previous literatures and confirm the 9 lists through conducting a research with experts in environmental area for verifying the propriety of lists. Also, this study applies to AHP technique to identify the priority and the weight evaluation among the lists. Through this study, we identify the most efficient lists, including from the low noise and low vibration methods, the noise and vibration reduction by blasting works, the installment and the arrangement of noise and vibration control equipments, for noise and vibration management in design phase. The achievement of this study will help to prevent the environmental disputes and conflicts in advance and will consider utilizing for the successful construction project.

The R.O.K Army has developed and operated TM to maintain the operation of weapons systems since its establishment. As more modern weapons systems were developed, the more efficient operation was limited by a large quantity. As a countermeasure, the DAPA has operated the IETM using the KAIS TOOL since 2003. However, 16 years later, they were shunned by operators for software instability and other reasons. Based on the results of an operational test and evaluation team of the Army headquarters, the analysis results of software instability, limited compatibility and integration, limited real-time updates, etc. were analyzed. It was confirmed that KAIS development tools were urgently needed. Therefore, in order to solve this current problem for the Army IETM, the first phase of this paper focused on improving the IETM by maintaining the application present, the second of the Army Electronic Technology manual, phase going to propose improvement plans for operational test and evaluation by lining 11 elements of comprehensive logistics support with an electronic technology code.
The purpose of this study is to design internet CEDA(Cross Examination Debate Association) debating model for the internet-based learning. Comparing to open discussion model that is widely spreaded in regular classes, the CEDA model can enhance learner's thinking skills, logicality, analytic skills, and judgement ability. In the first study, 196 students were provided the specific CEDA model guideline and participated debate activities through the internet. The results of the students' debate were analyzed based on the evaluation criteria. The results showed that the students' evaluation scores were high overall. They favored the CEDA model over the open discussion model, and showed positive attitudes and perceptions on the CEDA internet debate activity. In the second study, another 200 students were participated in two different tutor supporting CEDA debating groups, one is advanced tutor strategy group and the other is general tutor strategy group. The results showed that the advanced tutor supporting group had significantly high scores on the cross examination and providing evidence on debating. This study finally suggests the CEDA internet model for general use. In conclusion, this study also suggests the next steps to elaborate the CEDA internet model not only for the university settings, but also for general school settings. The user manuals should be developed to assist instructors, students, and tutors to guide better debate activities through the internet CEDA class. Also further research should be conducted to provide various debate models and applications for the variety of learning environments, and so the schools to use the CEDA model more widely in the internet classes.
The wall painting of Altamira cave "eight-legged wild boar" is often presented as a typical example of long-held desire of humanity for expressing movement. However, the eight legs are the product of so-called "double layer", of two paintings painted in different periods. Nonetheless, the explanation of Altamira cave paintings linking with the origin of animation is constantly reproduced without any particular doubt, verification or citation of sources. The fact of associating eight legs with movement is irrelevant to visual perception transcending time. This should be considered a movement expression code invented in a particular period of time. Sequential photography tried in the late 19th century, in particular, chronography of $\acute{E}tienne$-Jules Marey plays a crucial role in this. Marey's photography of which a series of sequence movements are overlapped in one frame and printed was reflected in painting works of artists including Duchamp and Balla in the early 20th century and formed as movement expression code. Animation manuals started to emerge from that period of time introduced the images of Marey's chronophotography as a way of analyzing and embodying the movement. In sum, the act of considering Altamira cave paintings of eight-legged wild boar as an expression of movement is an error intending to look at the past through today's visual code.
The purpose of this study is development of 'F1 in Schools Program' for elementary school student and validation of the program. Fifteen students were originally chosen from the W elementary school in Cheongju, Chungcheogbuk-Do. The children were tested on their understanding of science and 'F1 in Schools Program'. After developing the 'F1 in Schools Program', it was used in the classroom to evaluate applicability and to examine the responses from students, parents and schools. The program consists of 60 classes and the time of each class is 40 minutes. This study was conducted for 10 days from January 22nd, 2007 to February 2nd, 2007. CAD(Computer Aided Design), CFD(Computation Fluid Dynamics), CAM(Computer Aided manufacturing) and CNC Machine were used in this study and proved to be good materials for students in that they increased the students' participation and imagination. However, the children's cognitive and creative abilities as well as manuals written in English hampered the process. Most students, parents, schools seemed to be satisfied with use of the program. However, the schools showed that there was not enough understanding of the program as a whole. The processes with which students build and inspect using the $CO_2$Model Car not only improves the processing of the model but also enhanced the students scientific understanding related to the car speed.
Recently an extensive study of the mathematicians who have overcome the visually impaired and contribute to the academic in math was published. In the case of Korea, we can find there are mathematicians who have overcome physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy and polio. However there is no example of blind person who majored mathematics to become a mathematic's teacher or professor and have entered any mathematics related professions. This let us to study the reasons that caused difficulties to visually impaired students majoring in mathematics. We also suggest ways that may help blind students to have access to mathematics intuitively. In this study, we propose a tactile mathematics textbooks and teaching manuals utilizing 3D printing which the visually impaired students can touch and feel. We can supply such materials to visually impaired youth, special education teachers and parents in Korea. As a result, visually impaired students will be able to access mathematics easily and can build their confidence in mathematics. We hope that some blind students with mathematical talent do not hesitate to major mathematics and choose career in mathematical professions.
The shortest path problems(SPP) are critical issues in the military logistics such as the simulation of the War-Game. However, the existing SPP has two major drawbacks, one is its accuracy of solution and the other is for only one solution with focused on just link cost in the military transportation planning models. In addition, very few previous studies have been examined for the multi-shortest path problems without considering link capacity reflecting the military characteristics. In order to overcome these drawbacks, it is necessary to apply the multi-shortest paths algorithm reflecting un-expected military incidents. This study examines the multi-shortest paths in the real networks using Shier algorithm. The network contains both military link capacity and time-based cost. Also, the modes are defined as a platoon(group) rather than unit which is used in most of previous studies in the military logistics. To verify the algorithm applied in this study. the comparative analysis was performed with various sizes and routes of network which compares with Dijkstra algorithm. The major findings of this study are as follows ; 1) Regarding the unique characteristics of the military transportation plan, Shier algorithm, which is applied to this study, is more realistic than Dijkstra algorithm. Also, the time based concept is more applicable than the distance based model in the military logistics. 2) Based on the results from the various simulations of this study the capacity-constraint sections appeared in each scenarios. As a consequence, the alternatives are necessary such as measures for vulnerable area, improvement of vehicle(mode), and reflection of separated-marching column in the military manuals. Finally. the limits and future research directions are discussed : 1) It is very hard to compare the results found in this study. which is used in the real network and the previous studies which is used in arbitrary network. 2) In order to reflect the real military situations such as heavy tanks and heavy equipment vehicles. the other constraints such as the safety load of bridges and/or the height of tunnels should be considered for the future studies.
The trends of Green growth and environmentally-friendliness came to be the key development indicator for sustaining global environment for the future. Korean government reflected these trends in the main flows of the national development index. Korean construction industry is concentrating investment on fields related to these trends such as technologies for carbon dioxide deduction, materials or products for environmentally-friendly building and alternative energy development, as well. However, efforts to follow these trends during the construction process as a step for production phrase are not being considered enough. In this study, we analysed current status and points to be improved of on-site environment management by surveying major project owners and representatives of the environmental affairs in the leading companies of those fields. Also, we suggested organizational structure and operation model as a solution for enhancing environmentally-friendliness for systematic approach to manage on-site environment in public construction sites. In addition to these solutions, further approaches such as shifting paradigm of project owners and contractors, securing workforce and practical budget for efficient management activities, developing environmental management manuals, setting standards for evaluation of activities are needed for the stable settlement of on-site environmental management.

Small fishing ports and coastal structures installed in a relatively low sea water depth disturb the wave induced current and cause the collapse of equilibrium state of sediment transport. These structures creates diffracted waves and matter the concentration of waves to cause the beach erosion. In order to mitigate these eroding problems on the beach, many counter measurements were proposed such as detached breakwater, groin or headland; however, these methods interrupt the aesthetic view of sandy beach due to the exposed structures above the sea level and have difficulty of applying to those beaches with the good scenery. Furthermore, some of these methods create secondary environmental problems after the installations. To eliminate these problems, one of the countermeasures, artificial reefs have been selected and used worldwide to minimize the disturbance of the scenery and secondary effects on the environment. Meanwhile, it is important to set the design elements for installing the artificial reefs such as that of length, opening width, clearing distances from the shoreline and more. Nevertheless, there are no construction manuals or standards for designing the artificial reefs with these important design elements yet. In this study, different conditions of artificial reefs were used with various cases throughout hydraulic model test to precisely analyze the changes of waves and currents to propose the standards of design elements to install the artificial reefs.
