A Study on the Service Quality of Management Consulting of Traditional Korean Markets and This Affects the Management's Performance - Mediating Effects of Utilizing Management Consulting - (전통시장의 경영컨설팅 서비스품질이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 - 컨설팅 활용도의 매개효과 -)

  • This study investigated the influence of the quality of a business management consulting service and the mediating effect of utilizing a business management consulting service. For this purpose, data was collected from 200 self-employed workers of the Moonchang market in Dasejun, the Yongdap market in Seoul and the Jatgeoeul market in Gapyeong. The result of the study are as follows. First, it was found that the quality of interaction, the quality of the result and the quality of the physical environment have significant influences over peoples' financial aptitude. Second, it was found that the quality of the interaction, the quality of the result and the quality of the physical environment have significant influences over peoples' non-financial aptitudes. Thirds, the evaluation of a mediating effect of utilization of a business management consulting service on the relationship between the quality of a business management consulting service and business performance showed that it has a significant influence in all ways and so this, proved its mediating effect. Therefor, as one of the means to activate traditional markets in Korea, it would be beneficial to actively introduce a business management consulting service and this would achieve a better performance through efforts to change the perception of employees and consultants about post-management of business management consulting services.

A Study on the Development of the Account Management Program in Korea Customs Service (한국 관세청의 기업상담전문관 제도 발전방향에 관한 연구)

  • Under the circumstance of increasing international trade volumes and limitation of customs human resources, it is necessary to shift the customs' revenue collection activities and audit method from a transaction-based approach to an account-based approach. Thus, in 1997, U.S. Customs services established the Account Management Program. The Account Management Program is designed to increase importer compliance and improve customer service through one-on-one interaction with business entities and a designated Customs representative(Account Manager). The Account Management Program is a comprehensive process that includes the following stages and activities ; selection of a potential Account, establishment of the Account, management of the Account. In 2009, Korea Customs service introduced and executed the Account Management Program. But owing to its early stages, Korea Customs service does not suggest effective direction of development of the AM program. So I can propose the following improvements of the Account Management Program in Korea. Firstly, the Account Managers have to be assigned more traders than AEOs(Authorized Economic Operators). Secondly, it is necessary that Customs service appoints part-time port Account Managers to help more traders to improve customs compliance. Thirdly, thought should be given as to Account can be expanded to encompass both small and medium enterprises(SME) by providing customs brokers managing their customs business on the behalf of the SME with the Account Managers. Lastly, Customs service has to establish performance measures and action plan for the Account Management Program.

  • In this study, in light of the reality that the need for systematic development of military service resource management and alternative service discipline / switching service discipline has been discussed for illegal liquidation of military service obligations (Tekketsu) in connection with the military service system, and pluralistic it is assumed judgment if centralized military manpower administration (MMA) the recruitment structure that is, military service resource management that to effectively manage. It is determined that it can improve the precision, thereby increasing and the resource-specific Service Discipline instruction, fairness to ensure consistency in the resource management of Alternate Service Discipline / Switching Service Discipline among, high quality and accessibility of such people petition I thought there may be a service provider is realized, that centralization of MMA is also realized, trying to allo improved fairness associated with the performance of military service obligation. Therefore, in this study, we are exploring a scheme that is able to achieve the unification of the human resource management of military service entity to perform the duty of national defense.

  • The business is faced with the situation must improve a power in an increasingly competitive environment due to the recent rapid advance in information technology and the opening and expansion of global market, fast technological change, and various customer demand. The rapid change in information technology is having an effect on not only all the processes to develop products, but information contents that is provided for the purpose of customer value, and the appearance of products. In other words, the information technology is being recognized as a very important factor among other factors for companies to enhance their competitiveness. In addition, it is more efficient to focus on key factor to maintain the competitive advantage on the using of information technology by outsourcing information systems, rather than by operating the systems under their own. Since the global financial crisis, the long-term recession has been increasing companies who is ready to adopt outsourcing or adopted already. This study is to understand the environment and unique characteristics of outsourcing services and related industries focusing on information system operation and management in information outsourcing services, and is to set the concept needed through my theory that is connected to the service quality and customer satisfaction. A lot of business wiew the improvement of service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction as the major factors of business growth, and lots of ongoing studies have focused on service management in the Information outsourcing service industry. Yet few studies have ever concentrated on the quality of information system operation management service. This study, moreover, is to define the quality of service related with customer satisfaction from customer's viewpoint, measuring effects on customer satisfaction. The quality of outsourcing service on information system in this study is a great help to companies who are offering information outsourcing service, and company's managers and staffs who outsourcedto specialized company.

  • Recently, Service Level Management(SLM) including SLA has been developing to manage the level of information systems service. Although previous SLA studies have provided the conceptual model and critical success factors, the studies have not tested the effectiveness of the SLA by way of the empirical study. In this study, we applied an innovation decision making theory to our model and tested an empirical study using of a firm survey data. We suggested a SLM model, which consists of SLA planning, application, management dimensions. We found that the SLM's management stage has an impact on performance, whereas SLM's planning and application has not. At each sub dimensional analysis, there are found that adequate SLA indicators in the application stage influences performance and change management and feedback & reporting in the management stage influence performance.

  • In this paper we propose a product-service valuation model which is usable as a decision-making tool in order to attain a competitive advantage in service in the manufacturing industry. With this purpose, service quality, product quality and costs as valuation criteria are selected. Also, the paper utilizes an AHP model in order to differentiate a fuzzy theory and valuation factors to ensure objectivity in the evaluated results while excluding subjective factors in conducting the product-service valuation. Accordingly, the product-service valuation model and valuated results proposed in this paper are expected to be useful as a basic data for decision-making in order to draw competitive advantage strategies of service in the manufacturing industry.

  • The office management service platform configured with office's sensor devices, G/DSCL(Gateway/Device Service Capability Layer), NSCL(Network Service Capability Layer), and NA(Network Application). In this paper, we designed gateway resource tree and service scenario to fit the office management service and demonstrated appropriate operation of the office management service through intelligent functional modeling.

The Effects of Service Orientation on the Organizational Commitment and Management Performance of Public Health Center Workers (보건소 직원이 지각하는 서비스지향성이 조직몰입과 경영성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of service orientation on the organizational commitment and management performance of public health center workers. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. A convenience sample of 280 workers was recruited from six public health centers in J province, South Korea. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires, including general characteristics, service orientation, organizational commitment, and management performance. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: The service orientations explained 34.1%of the variance in organizational commitment and explained 31.4% of the variance in management performance. The service orientation was a significant predictor of organizational commitment and management performance. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that better strategies for service orientations will be helpful to enhance organizational commitment and management performance in the public health center.

  • The study investigated the major factors in regards to the effects of service qualities with university hospitals in Daejeon on their overall service satisfaction. In regards to service qualities, the hypothesis was verified through multiple regression analysis in terms of professionalism, kindness, credibility, and facilities/environment. As a result, all professionalism(0.462), kindness(0.142), credibility(0.258) and facilities/environment(0.184) showed positive effects on their overall service satisfaction level. In particular, professionalism showed the greatest effect by 0.462. As patients' and caretakers' desire to service quality becomes diversified, the analysis result is considered to help the future medical service management at university hospitals by analyzing the major factors which affect the service quality and by finding the methods to increase the service satisfaction.
