  • In the field of nuclear power construction, management and the systematic construction is very necessary. For more efficiently managing, analysis of influence factors and productivity is indispensable now. On this research, we collected the data from the nuclear power plant which is located in Korea. We analyzed the productivity and influence factors. As a result, productivity was 0.75(㎡/man·hour).On one hand, the productivity should be personnel, weather and whether there is a night duty or not. On the other hand, work crew depends upon operators, formwork amount, the presence or absence of night duty.

  • Due to dramatic changes in the trend of corporate management in economics, labor and government, companies are being asked to adapt creative and innovative organizational culture in order to keep sustainability. Under the circumstances, flexible working hour becomes one of very effective method for organization culture improvement. Recently, M company has introduced the new policy of working hours that employees can choose a couple of different time options depending on their personal situations. And it turns out to be very effective to work & life balance, increasing organizational vitality, improving efficiency of business and productivity, recruitment of core human resources, and prevention of deviation; both team and personal performance levels has significantly improved. Therefore, it is highly recommended to adapt flexible working policies for companies seeking for a long term, sustainable corporate vision.

  • This paper deals with the automation techniques of ship assembly drawing generation, which help the designer to reduce the man-hour for completing the drawings, and improve the quality of the drawing for the given time. The automation techniques are necessary for the reasons of economical efficiency and improve communication between the designers and shop-makers. The overlap-avoidance algorithm of this paper maximizes the readability of the drawings using the optimization techniques and the heuristic rules, especially for the ship assembly field.

  • In order to prepare for the future warfare environment, which requires a faster operational tempo, it is necessary to utilize the fourth industrial revolution technology in the field of military operations. This study propose a methodology, 'machine learning based dynamic targeting', which can contribute to reduce required man-hour for dynamic targeting. Specifically, a decision tree algorithm is considered to apply to dynamic targeting process. The algorithm learns target prioritization patterns from JIPTL(Joint Integrated Prioritized Target List) which is the result of the deliberate targeting, and then learned algorithm rapidly(almost real-time) determines priorities for new targets that occur during ATO(Air Tasking Order) execution. An experiment is performed with artificially generated data to demonstrate the applicability of the methodology.

  • This case report aims to review complications that can occur during arthrocentesis and report an unusual complication observed in a 55-year-old man. The patient received arthrocentesis in an attempt to treat painful locking episodes of his right temporomandibular joint (TMJ). One hour after the operation, the patient experienced temporary facial paralysis in the area of the facial nerve and anesthesia of the lingual and alveolar inferior nerves. No persistent complications were detected during the postoperative follow-up. We suspected this complication occurred after anesthetic solution overflowed from a traumatic perforation in the joint capsule to the infratemporal area during the operation. To our knowledge, this complication has not been previously reported in the literature.

  • Combining digital automation solutions throughout recent manufacturing process is essential. Advanced robot and mechanical techniques are required for design, manufacture, and distribution process. Manual design of repetitive similar mechanical components during the development phase of these advanced machines and robots can occur wasting time and money. Developed gear design module, which is the power transfer system mechanical component, was programmed in the Visual Basic language in CATIA V5 environment. Automation Process is Based on Parametric Modeling Method. and it was found to be effective in reducing design time compared to designers manual modeling.

  • Molding is the root industry of the manufacturing as a means to mass-produce developed prototypes. Molds are typically divided into injection molds and press mold industries. Injection molds produce the products by injection of molten plastic into a mold, and press molds are molded and bended plate. The ejection system, such as eject pins, is used to separate the manufactured products from the mold, which involves a number of hole operations. Location, diameter and depth of holes are often tabulated and managed collectively when designing 2D drawings. The design efficiency was realized by applying CATIA Automation to the 3D model and bringing in the data of the holes in the Excel data.

  • Both the importance and process of estimating Nuclear-power plant construction time and cost have increased in significance as energy user costs themselves have become more significant. In estimating construction time, few parameters are more significant than work item production rates and factors significantly affecting the rates. A standardized data collection tool was used to acquire a total of 401 data points from a S Nuclear-power plant project, for selected critical works: form-work, rebar-work, and concrete-pouring. With the data, several hypothesized drivers of the man-hour production rates and crew-day production rates were also analyzed. Findings from this study will enable industry professionals to enhance accuracy of time and cost estimation for nuclear power plant construction.

  • 해군에서 운용하는 각 함정은 여러 가지 무기체계를 동시에 탑재하고 있는, 고가의 복합무기체계이다. 주어진 기간동안 효과적인 정비를 수행함으로써, 가동률을 극대화하는 것이말로 복합무기체계인 함정을 효과적으로 운용하는 방법이며, 경제적인 국방운용이라 부를 수 있을 것이다. 정비인시는 여러 무기체계가 동시에 탑재된 복합무기체계 정비의 핵심이다. 정비인시를 정확하게 알고 있어야만, 제한된 정비기간을 각 무기체계에 정확히 할당할 수 있을 것이며, 최적의 요소에 대한 정비가 수행될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 해군에서 운용중인 특정장비에 대한 약 10년간의 정비자료를 이용하여 정비인시를 예측하는 모델을 제안하였다. 모델의 성능은 R2 Score를 통해 0.69의 준수한 수치를 보였다. 이 모델을 통해 조금더 세밀하고, 정확한 정비인시 예측과 정비계획 수립이 가능하리라 판단하였다.

소형 태양광 무인항공기의 개발 및 비행시험 (Development and Flight Test of a Small Solar Powered UAV)

  • 본 연구에서는 소형 태양광 무인항공기를 개발하여 비행시험을 수행하였다. 태양광 무인기는 날개에 설치된 태양전지로부터 전력을 생산하고, 생산된 전력의 일부를 비행동력으로 사용하며, 나머지를 일몰 후 비행을 위해 배터리에 저장을 한다. 태양광 무인항공기는 공기역학적으로 매우 효율이 높아야 하며, 구조적으로 경량이면서 고강도를 가져야 한다. 또한, 태양광 무인기의 전기추진시스템과 태양광 발전시스템도 높은 효율을 가져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 12시간 이상의 연속 비행을 위한 태양광 무인항공기 및 태양광 시스템을 개발하고, 그 성능을 파악하기 위해 비행시험을 수행하였다. 가을과 겨울철의 비행시험 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 태양광 무인항공기의 사계절 모두 12시간 이상의 연속비행이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.
