  • In order to analyze possible effects of senior hospital selection factors and service satisfaction on senior hospital patients' revisit of senior hospital, this study surveyed guardians of total 204 patients hospitalized in major 4 senior hospitals in Busan. As a result, this study came to the following conclusions: First, it was found that guardians considered appropriateness of medical treatment cost as the biggest factor of choice, which was followed by kindness of doctor and hospital employees, locational accessibility (traffic convenience), and doctor's medical capacity. Second, the factor analysis about patients' satisfaction showed that the influential factors consisted of satisfaction at medical staffs, satisfaction at nursing and care, and satisfaction at facilities. Third, there was not significant difference in the overall impression of hospital and the intention of revisit depending upon sociological variables. Fourth, satisfaction at nursing and care and satisfaction at facilities had significant effects on better satisfaction at overall impression of hospital, and it was noted that the shorter admission period and the less complaint led to the higher intention of revisit. Therefore, it is necessary to improve satisfaction at medical staffs, nursing and care, and facilities rather than patients' own sociological characteristics.

This paper presents an empirical relationship analysis between network quality characteristics and customer satisfaction on Internet communication. Methodologically, the relationship analysis framework is based on the regression variable selection procedures. In this framework, it is implemented that; 1) iterative model building; and 2) consistent criteria application to statistical tests for selecting significant variables. A case study shows that; 1) the customer satisfaction on the network connection seems to be more closely related to the network quality characteristics compared with the customer satisfaction on the network speed; and 2) the download disconnection rate has relatively evident relationship with the customer satisfaction on the network connection.

  • This study investigated relationships between the importance and satisfaction of rice-based menu selection attributes at family restaurants. For data collection, a total of 250 copies of questionnaires were distributed to 4-year college students who had an experience of a rice-based menu at casual dining restaurants, and finally 221 surveys (88.4%) among them were analyzed by using SPSS Win ver. 11.5. Twenty selection attributes were used to test the level of importance and satisfaction for rice-based menu. The factor analysis identified six dimensions of the importance of rice-based menu selection attributes; variety of items, menu information, recommendation & atmosphere, food quality, preferred menu, and price. Also, five dimensions of satisfaction were identified as nutrition & taste, menu information, preferred menu & atmosphere, variety of items, and cooking. Canonical correlation analysis revealed that preferred menu factor of importance was highly correlated with preferred menu and restaurant atmosphere factor of satisfaction of rice-based menu selection. The managerial implications of these results for rice-base menu selection attributes are as follows: There seems to be a need to develop a variety of rice-based menus, because rice-based menus tend to be considered as an additional menu, not a main course. Aggressive marketing and communication strategies are necessary to position rice-based menu as a main course for college students and as a major maket segment to family restaurants.
