  • The purpose of this study is to find out main factors affecting public enterprise's environment , which improves the performance of public enterprise. In detail, under the premises of keeping publicity in Korea Electricity Industry, the main target of this study is to seek after factors enhancing entrepreneurship and deals with publicity which is related with entrepreneurship. Questionnaires are distributed to the employee of public enterprise, public servants, and civil corps. A total of 553 copies are collected. The main contents of questionnaires are related with the effect of publicity and entrepreneurship by government control, competitive environment and shareholding structure in Korea Electricity Power Corporation(KEPCO). The results of this survey are as follows : First government control is negatively related to the entrepreneurship while it is positively related to the Publicity. Second, this suey shows that competitive environment has a Positive influence on promoting both publicity and entrepreneurship. Third this survey in connection with shareholding structure indicates that present structure in KEPCO has a positive effect on publicity but negative effect on entrepreneurship. According to this empirical results, it is verified that the main issues on the performance of KEPCO ue related with the level of government control and competitive environment in its industry.

  • As the renewable energy market grows, grid-connected inverters have been improving and expanding in several fields in recent years because energy conversion devices are the main components of solar systems. In this paper, a high-precision new grid-connected three-phase inverter system is proposed. The proposed system consists of a main inverter, a sub inverter and a transformer. The main inverter operates at a low switching frequency and high power and transmits power to the grid. A sub-inverter connected in series with the transmission line through a matching transformer operates at lower power than the main inverter to provide input values to the transformer. The transformer acts as a power supply according to the voltage compensation value. This study is based on the principle of operation of the UPFC(Unified Power Flow Controller) structure used to regulate power flow in AC transmission lines. The grid-connected inverter system proposed in this paper is implemented with high precision and high resolution. The proposed system was verified through its ability to enhance and ensure the safety of the proposed system through simulation and experiment.

  • This paper investigates the source of bilateral trade imbalance at industry level. We build a simple model based on gravity theory and derive the prediction that the bilateral trade balance in an industry is increasing in the difference between trading partners in the output share of the industry. We test this prediction and find that the difference in industry share is highly significant in predicting both the sign and the magnitude of trade balance at industry level. We also find that FTAs tend to enlarge trade imbalance at industry level. However, the overall predictive power of the model is rather limited, suggesting that factors other than production specialization are important in determining trade balance at industry level. Another finding of the paper is that the influence of the difference in industry share on trade balance increases as we move to industries that produce more homogeneous products. This finding calls into question monopolistic competition as the main driver of gravity in international trade.

  • Based on reviewing the literature and statistical year books on current projects that are targeting Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory, this paper aims to show concepts of Industry 4.0, and Smart Factory. Also it shows 5 projects for Industry 4.0 led by governments that worry over their low employment and productivity in main industrialized countries: Germany, China, Japan, the USA, and Korea. In addition it presents some problems which are very important but easy to be overlooked, especially on employment, and it makes three suggestions to solve employment problems. First, government should tax the profit which a company makes on reducing workers in spite of a high rate of profit through technology innovation. Second, to help small businesses to last longer, government should link major companies and small companies. Third, government, academic circles and the industrial world should take part in configuring consortia like American "Industry talent Consortium" to cultivate IT Talent.

  • With the introduction of the Internet in the 21st century, the manufacturing-oriented industry, so called EMS(Electronic Manufacturing Service) specialized in manufacturing only, is rapidly expanding. From the beginning of the year 2000, the EMS industry in advanced countries around the world, whereas a strong Motivation System in which a manufacturing related staff plays a main role, has began providing the source of competitiveness. And this industry is regarded as a core of management linking productivity directly to management performance. Thus, all the manufacturing sectors including not only the electronic industry but also mechanical industry in the future are observed to be divided into two industries; a Maker strategy industry focused on marketing and development, and a EMS industry specialized in manufacturing. Therefore, we need to evaluate whether the industries should continue to support the Manufacturers Strategy or attempt to change into the EMS industry However, with no approved evaluation standard on hand as to an actual EMS industry, in this thesis, we develop the EM(EMS-Maker) Chart in order to analyze both the Manufacturer Strategy and the EMS industries.

  • This study analyzes the economic impact of the shipping and port logistics industry in Gwangyang Bay Area on the regional economy. For this purpose, the study constructs an input-output table of 29 sectors for 2010 in the area. The main findings are as follows. In terms of production, value added, and share of employment, the regional shipping and port logistics industry accounts for approximately 10.8 percent, 6.0 percent, and 2.9 percent of the national shipping and port logistics industry, respectively. Moreover, the economic impact of the industry on the regional economy is estimated to be an increase in terms of production of about 6 trillion Korean won), to be an increase in value added of about 2.5 million Korean won, and an increase of about 16,000 in employment. Furthermore, the industry is found to have strong inter-industry linkages with the main manufacturing as well as the main producer service industries.

  • This paper deals with a parameter estimation of the DC-DC converter system for its diagnosis. Especially, we present the results of parameter estimation for the DC-DC converter model by the system identification method. The parameter estimation for the DC-DC converter system aims at the diagnosis of its operating status. For the operating status diagnosis of the DC-DC converter system, we assume that the DC-DC converter system is an equivalent model of the Buck converter and estimate the main parameter for on-line diagnosis. In addition, for verification of an estimated parameter, we compare a bode plot of the estimated system transfer function and measurement results of the HP4194 instrument. It is a control system analyzer for system transfer function measurement. Our results confirm that the main parameter for diagnosis of the DC-DC converter system can be estimated by the system identification method and that the aging status of the system can be predicted by these results on operating status.

  • Can industry has grown up with growth of packing industry and its recycling activation in recent years. But profit has became low by oversupply. Therefore, can industry needs a reduction of environmental load and official loss by an optimization of process in order to maintain its competitiveness. In this study, the main issues of aluminium can production was investigated by life cycle assessment. As a result of LCA, it examined closely by main issues that reduce defective cans and remove tramp oil. In the present work, it was recommended that setup of R/O system, sterillizing tramp oil separation, and heating system of DI water. The ROI investigated 6.4 months. The operating cost with the advanced processes could be reduced annually by 300 million won.

  • The Purpose of this study first was to establish the concept based on the existing convention theory, and classifies the types of industrial aspect, and cultural and artistic aspects. Based on it, the relative importance of structural elements of the fashion convention industry is analyzed to fashion conventions in the industrial aspect. The research applies Delphi technique, it is applied to experts in the fashion convention industry in two rounds. Re result is as follows ; First, exhibitions and collection of the fashion convention industry are classified into five groups by examining their main types and main targets. Second, in fabric·material exhibitions, the procedure, personnel and communication have relatively equal importance on the whole although facilities are considered most important. in clothing·fashion exhibitions, the procedure has by far a high level of importance unlike others. Third, comparing the second stage importance, it is shown that the event hall, pubic relations, professionalization of personnel, communication between the promoter and supporting organization are most important with a slight difference by type. Fourth, comparing the third stage importance, it is revealed that ten most important factors are the event location, publicity time, the size·number of event halls customer handling , expertise, publicity media, friendliness, facilities, Publicity Publications, and business competence.
