애니메이션 컴포넌트의 시간적 스크립트로부터 SMIL 문서 생성 알고리즘 (An Algorithm to generate SMIL Documents from Temporal Scripts of Animation Component)

  • 멀티미디어 내용을 웹에 전달해 주기 위해 W3C에서 제안한 SMIL은 현재 널리 사용되고 있으며, 이와 관련된 소프트웨어가 속속 등장하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 시간의 흐름에 따른 상호작용 프로그래밍을 하기 위한 컴퓨터 애니메이션 툴 킷인 RASP의 시간 스크립트를 SMIL 문서 형태로 변환해 주는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이것은 SMIL 문서의 활용가치가 높아짐에 따라 애니메이션 컴포넌트에 대해 재사용 성을 향상시키며, VML의 순서 다이어그램으로부터 SMIL 문서를 생성해 내므로 기존에 제안된 SMIL 문서의 동기화를 위해 생성된 순서 다이어그램을 검증해 주는데, 큰 의의를 갖는다.

Fabrication and Characterization of Zinc-Tin-Oxide Thin Film Transistors Prepared through RF-Sputtering

  • Oxide-based thin film transistors have been attempted as powerful candidates for driving circuits for active-matrix organic light-emitting diodes and transparent electronics. The oxide TFTs are based on the amorphous multi-component oxides involving zinc, indium, and/or tin elements as main cation sources. The current work employed RF sputtering in order to deposit zinc-tin oxide thin films applicable to transparent oxide thin film transistors. The deposited thin film was characterized and probed in terms of materials and devices. The physical/chemical characterizations were performed using X-ray diffraction, Atomic Force Microscopy, Spectroscopic Ellipsometry, and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy. The thin film transistors were fabricated using a bottom-gated structure where thermally-grown silicon oxide layers were applied as gate-dielectric materials. The inherent properties of oxide thin films are combined with the corresponding device performances with the aim to fabricating the multi-component oxide thin films being optimized towards transparent electronics.

  • We analysed phases recorded by the M$_{L}$ 3.6 Cheolwon, Korea, earthquake occurred on the 10th of December, 2002 and computed source parameters such as hypocenter, origin time, earthquake magnitude and focal solutions. We used PmP and SmS phases to increase the accuracy in determinations of the hypocenter and origin time in addition to the phases such as Pg, Pn, Sg and Sn which are generally used in routine processes. The epicenter, depth, and origin time of the Cheolwon earthquake determined based on data of 11 stations within 200 km from the epicenter are 38.8108$^{\circ}$N, N, 127.2214'E, 11.955 km, and on 7:42:51.436. The earthquake magnitude obtained from all the stations is 3.6 M$_{L}$. The fault plane solution calculated based on data from 19 stations indicates slip process of a normal fault including strike-slip motion. The direction of compressional stress field has a large vertical component and a ESE-WNW direction of horizontal component, which is different from the mainly horizontal direction of main compressional stress field in the Korean Peninsula (ENE-WSW) obtained by previous studies.ies.s.

콘크리트 믹서 감속기의 진동 평가 (Vibration Evaluation of Concrete Mixer Reducer)

  • The differential planetary gear reducer as a main component of the concrete mixer driving mechanism requires a strong torque to mix concrete compounds. As this component is currently dependent on imports, it is necessary to develop it by conducting a study on vibration analysis and the resonance problem. The noise and vibration of a concrete mixer reducer increase owing to the transmission error of planetary gears, and the damage of components occurs owing to the problems in design and production. In this study, the tooth-passing frequency is calculated to evaluate the noise and vibration of a mixer reducer, and a fast Fourier transform (FFT) analysis is conducted through a vibration test using an acceleration sensor. The vibration of the reducer is measured at three points of input and output of the shaft and planetary gear housing with fixed and variable revolutions per minute. The operating conditions of gears and bearings are evaluated by performing the FFT analysis, and the resonance problem is verified. The results show that No. 1 pinion and ring gears revolve disproportionately. The amplitude values appear high, and the wear of tooth faces occur in tooth-passing frequencies and harmonic components of No. 1 and No. 2 pinion-ring gears. Therefore, we conclude that design changes in the reducer and a correction of tooth profiles are required.

섬오가피의 추출 조건에 따른 페놀성 성분 함량 변화 (Changes in the Contents of Phenolic Components in the Stem of Acanthopanax koreanum Depending on Extracting Batches)

  • This study compared the contents of phenolic components depending on the extracting conditions of Acanthopanax koreanum stem to provide basic information for developing Acanthopanax koreanum-based functional foods. Our findings show that the content of total phenolic component peaked at 16 hours of extraction (WAK-16, 7.22%) and when water extracted at $100^{\circ}C$. However, 11-hours water extraction (WAK-11) showed highest eleutheroside B concentration of 1.32%, a main component of A. koreanum, and the level of chlorogenic acid concentration was the highest when 1-hour water extraction (WAK-1) was conducted, being 2.12%. Moreover, highest concentration of eleutheroside E was observed in 16-hours water extraction (WAK-16) as 1.49%. With 60-hours water extraction (WAK-60), the content of syringaresinol, an active phenolic aglycon substance, concentration was the highest with the value of 0.10%. Isofraxidin showed the highest concentration of water extract(0.09%) for 20 hours (WAK-20) and 0.42% for sinapyl alcohol[16 hours (WAK-16)].

Experimental Research of Piece-Mold Casting: Gilt-Bronze Pensive Bodhisattva

  • We have tried the experimental research of lost-wax casting to reconstruct Gilt-Bronze Pensive Bodhisattva; preliminary and reconstruction experiment based on ancient texts. Main object to reconstruct is Korean National Treasure No.83, Gilt-Bronze Pensive Bodhisattva (Maitreya), then we measure alloy ratio and casting method based on the scientific analysis. Other impurities were removed from the base metal components(copper : tin : lead) and their ratio was set to 95.5 : 6.5 : 3 where the ratios for tin and lead were increased by 2.5% each. The piece-mold casting method was used, and piece-mold casting experiments were carried out twice in this study but supplementary research on piece-mold casting was necessary. The microstructure was confirmed to be typical cast microstructure and the component analysis result was similar to that of the prior study. Analysis of the chemical composition is confirmed to copper, tin, lead, and zinc, and the chemical composition of the matrix was 87.8%Cu-7.5%Sn-2.7%Pb-2.1%Zn, and similar to previous experimental research. Also resulted in the detection of small impurity in Zn. Analysis of the mould revealed that the mould was fabricated by adding quartz and organic matter for structural stability, fire resistance, and air permeability. We expect that our research will contribute to provide base data for advanced researches in future.

  • Article materials reflect the results of scientific research and generalization of experience concerning quality measurement of student's educational activities in the context of innovative development of the educational process, which is ensured by introducing educational innovations. The main point of monitoring of higher education students' activities and also phenomenon of education quality, particularly its results, are determined in the research. Guided by the scientific theory and personal experience of scientific and pedagogical activities, the attempt to single out the key components, important indicators and to introduce component indicator model of quality of higher education students' activities on the qualimetry base has been performed. Methodical solutions concerning the application of the developed model to determine the dynamics of pedagogical students' educational achievements by particular educational components in the process of innovative development of educational process are proposed. The advanced studies that relate to the development of methods for monitoring the quality of pedagogical higher education students' activities on the basis of systemic, competence and qualimetry approaches taking into account the levels of education and chosen specialties have been decided.

  • This paper is to implement MoIP platform to send and receive video and audio at the same time by using high-performance Dual Core Processor. Even if Wall-Pad key component of a home network system is released by using embedded processors, it's lacking of performance in terms of multimedia processing and feature of video telephony through which video and voice are exchanged simultaneously. The main reason could be that embedded processors currently being used do not provide enough performance to support both MoIP call features and various home network features simultaneously. In order to solve these problems, Dual processor could be used, but in the other hands it brings another disadvantage of high cost. Therefore, this study is to solve the home automation features and video telephony features by using Dual Core Processor based on ARM 11 Processor and implement the MoIP Wall-Pad which can reduce the board design costs and component costs, and improve performance. The platform designed and implemented in this paper verified performance of MoIP to exchange the video and voice at the same time under the situation of Ethernet network.

Variation in Phenotypic Traits in Onion (Allium cepa L.) Germplasm Collections

  • Variations in phenotypic traits are important for onion genetic improvement. The aim of this study was to identify the phenotypic traits of temporary genetic resources and the best accessions for the development of onion breeding programs. Sixteen phenotypic traits of 79 onion accessions were studied. The descriptive statistics of phenotypic traits exhibited a high variation in onion accessions. Among the 79 evaluated accessions, 64.55% had a large bulb neck width and 44.30% had a circular bulb shape. Principal component analysis showed that six principal components (PCs) accounted for 72.65% of the total variation. The main factors contributing to PC1 were bulb weight, equatorial and bulb polar diameters, plant height, and degree of splitting into bulblets, whereas those contributing to PC2 were the bulb color of the epidermal cells of the fleshy scales and color of the dry skin on the bulb. The accessions were classified into three groups-clusters 1, 2, and 3. Cluster 2 accessions were the most suitable for selecting large and circular bulb-shaped onion cultivars. The phenotypic variation observed in this study may help to select potential accessions for breeding new onion cultivars.

Asteroid Taxonomic Classification in Photometry

  • Multi-band photometry provides an advantage in being able to perform taxonomic classification analysis on a large number of asteroids in a much shorter period of time than spectroscopy. We observed main-belt asteroids using Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) in CTIO during the summer seasons in the southern hemisphere, mostly in December 2015, 2016 and 2017 with two visible photometric systems, SDSS (g, r, i, and z), and Johnson-Cousins (B, V, R, and I). Targets were selected for the asteroids which had already been classified based on Bus-Binzel taxonomy (Bus & Binzel, 2002) and DeMeo taxonomy (DeMeo et al. 2009). Not only the targets but also numerous serendipitously observed asteroids were identified. In summary, 6817 and 5456 known objects, including 307 and 233 already classified asteroids were observed with SDSS and Johnson-Cousins systems, respectively. Using principal component analysis, the three major asteroid complexes and a class, S-, C-, and X-complexes and V class are found to be well separated in the principal component plane (spectral slope and 1 micron absorption depth) with both filter systems. We will present and discuss the results of our newly proposed three-dimensional color taxonomy for asteroids using the whole dataset (Roh et al., to be submitted).
